I scheduled an appointment with David Freel and he said he would be at my house at 8:30 this morning. At 8:40 I got a phone call from him telling me one of his electricians called out sick so he wouldn’t be able to make it today and would I like to reschedule.

I’m sure that electrician didn’t call out at 8:40 and if he did, David would’ve already been on site to give me the estimate on the job that he said he would. I understand things happen, but to not give me an early courtesy call felt very disrespectful.

He should have given me a call as soon as that electrician called out so that I could go to work because now I’ve lost 2 hours of pay to meet someone who didn’t even show up or give me the courtesy of an early phone call to let me know.

I’m not sure how his electrical work is but I know his professionalism could use some work.

Great quality work at a fair price. Its a shame all electrical(most of it anyway) is hidden from view because Dave and his licensed crew make what often looks like a rats nest of wires, look like a work of art. It takes talent, professionalism, and speed to get electrical work done to the quality and efficiency that Freel and Son Electric does. You wont be disappointed.

IN BRIEF: Lightning knocked out backyard electrical, including line to well pump for irrigation. Best prior estimate was $10k+ replacing a lot. Justin and company id'd the issues under 40 min and had us up and running under 2 hr for way less than $1k. My wife & I are very happy! *****

Freel & Sons did my outdoor landscape project in 2021. Progress of the outdoor kitchen was held up because Dave was often MIA. Dave sent different people to my house who were not briefed properly on expectations so they wound up wiring the project wrong. Poor communication through the entire project.

Trusted Dave completed the project when I was in the hospital and paid him in full. When I returned home I realized he missed steps. I've tried email, phone calls, even tracked him down at the Milford Pumpkin Festival to have him come back and fix their mistakes. He said "I'm too busy."

From the moment he arrived, he was knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to help us. We recently hired Freel & Sons to install a generator switch panel. They were able to come out quickly and completed the job, which we appreciated.
However, the final invoice was $250 higher than the original quote. When we called to ask about the difference, we were told the job took longer than expected, which we understand can happen. We were also told they didn’t want to quote too high upfront because they were concerned we might choose another company.
While the team was friendly and we’re grateful to have our generator set up, we were disappointed with how the quote and billing process was handled.

We needed a new, very good generator. Dave Freel helped us in every way. He explained every option and the best choices based on what we wanted. He took a very long time with all assistance and friendly interaction. Then he made a new generator in place with all wiring in place. If you need a big job or not so big, this is the company. This is the people. They know everything and they do it right and they do it fast.

Wonderful service! Andrew with Bluestar does impeccable work. When I moved into my new home it was very dark and outdated with little to no lights in the rooms. Andrew installed recessed lighting in my living room and play room and his work was beautiful. He’s so efficient too and you can beat his prices. I got two other quotes and his was far superior and so was his work!

I’ve since used him twice to fix exterior lights and to brighten up my basement!

We had Bluestar do a bunch of jobs both inside and outside. light fixtures and switches & some outlets inside. outside 2 motion spot lights and exterior GFI outlets. Also we had a semi emergency where we lost some lights in the master bath Andrew came over after 5 pm and got us up and running. Andrew was great. Needed a generator installed. Came right over and gave me a very good quote. He came that week and installed it no problem. He even fixed a light switch issue I had in my entry way. Will honestly be using him again for any electrical needs.

What a great experience working with Bluestar Electrical to wire my basement for my new workshop. Andrew couldn't have been more accommodating or helpful and did a fantastic job. He took care of the permit and the inspector seemed very pleased with his work. I know I am and would use Bluestar again if I have more electrical work to be done.

George of Albee Electrical Services did great work on our in-law apartment by wiring in a new stackable washer/dryer as well as an electric oven/range. He came out the same day I called to look at the job, was on time, and submitted a competitive quote that same night. He was able to get me on his schedule (which didn't change) and was again on time to start, and finished the job in the time he estimated it would take.
