If we could give Doug's Tree Service a million stars, we would!

Our experience with Doug, Bryan and their team could not have been more positive. We had quite a big job to do - Between our trees and our neighbors', we had over 30 very unwell trees removed with Doug's Trees. As you might imagine, it was nerve-racking in many ways to have to do such a big tree removal job at our home but every step of the process with Doug made it all seem manageable, and we had so much trust and confidence in the whole crew. Everyone was extremely professional, friendly, efficient, and incredibly hardworking. They all worked together like a well-oiled machine to get our huge job done - it was so impressive to watch!

I can't imagine you'd find a better team for your tree removal job. We will only call Doug for our future tree work needs and recommend them without hesitation!

Doug's Tree Service removed several trees, one of which was a very large oak that was over our house. He told us we will never know they were there when they get done. They were very professional and polite. My husband and I were amazed with the equipment used; a large crane that lifted the trees over the wires of our house service. They had a great system with all the crew. We had to leave before they were finished. When we returned you would have thought a landscaper was there. The driveway and the lawn were totally cleaned of debris and the lawn looked like it was raked and air blown. There is no clean up on our part and no lawn to repair. I would highly recommend Doug's Tree Service and his crew for any tree removal job!!

The storm last Thursday knocked a tree onto my house. Doug’s Tree Service was the only tree company that was able to do the job the following day. They came while I was at work, and when I got home the job was done, nothing of the tree left. My neighbor went on and on about how professional and efficient they were. Very safe company with all the necessary equipment and tools.

Doug and his team removed 6 tall pine trees from my back yard and did a terrific job. Doug was super responsive, easy to work with, and straightforward on the job and pricing. He answered all of our questions, and the team did not leave a trace of anything behind when they were done. They swept our driveway and the road clean of any remaining debris, which was very appreciated and noticed. Highly recommend their services for anyone looking to remove large trees- 5 star service.

I had ten big trees on one property and five on another. Doug and the crew did both jobs. They showed up when they said they would. They were fast ,safe and left both sites clean as could be. The price was fair and exactly as they quoted,

Doug's Tree Service was wonderful! We called about a stump on our property and Doug came by that day to give us an estimate for the job. Ross from Doug's came a day later at the scheduled time, and the stump was ground down and gone! We had trunk pieces, that were previously cut, and we scheduled a pick up for that too. I noticed a large Maple tree had begun splitting recently. Doug was able to visit within 2 hours of my call. He considered it an emergency and had his crew arrive the next morning. A team of 4 with 3 vehicles arrived with all modern equipment and safety gear and made quick work of the removal. Totally impressed with everyone and everything they did. I highly recommend!

I called Doug’s Tree Service after a big snowstorm in April left three trees on my roof. I also had other tree work to be done. To say I was pleased with the work and cleanup would be an understatement. He was professional, efficient, and took pride in his work. I highly recommend this company for all of your tree needs.

A storm blew down an 80 foot tall pine tree that dropped over our picket fence and brushed the house on it's way down, tearing the electrical service off the house. This was 2 days before scheduled opened houses for the sale of our home. The tree did not crush the picket fence since the branches held it above the ground just over the fence. We called several tree companies to find a service quickly, and Doug's was able to remove the tree the next day at a competitive price. We can't say enough about the speed and quality of the work Doug was able to gingerly lift the tree off of the fence, and placing it on the ground where is was rapidly cut up and removed. Not a single fence picket was broken!

Doug and his crew did a fabulous job of cleaning up the branches and debris once the tree was on the truck, and the entire mess was removed in about 2 hours, allowing the scheduled open houses to go on as planned with no evidence of the tree damage a few hours after the crew finished. Doug's Tree Service sent Evan and Seth to do some tree trimming to our property. They were super nice and very professional and extremely careful and very punctual. The cleaned up after their work - very pleased with their service....

Doug and his crew went far beyond my expectations, starting with the amazing machinery (I guess I was expecting a couple of guys with safety harnesses and chain saws) - I had never seen anything like this. The crew communicates with each other via Belichick-like headsets, and the entire operation (crane-bobcat-chipper) is choreographed like some kind of timber-felling ballet. The enormous crane is operated by a guy using a remote device that looks like a video game controller. Just incredible. Apart from execution, I was pleased with the reasonable price, and Doug (the owner) was great to work with - he pointed out several trees beyond those in my original scope that could be taken out to minimize the risk of falling on the house, for minimal incremental cost, without ever giving me the feeling that he was trying to up-sell me. He was just being honest and professional. The crew is fastidious about cleaning up afterwards, and our yard now looks great. I would recommend Doug's Tree Service without hesitation.

I hired Doug’s Tree service to take down 8 trees around my house in Merrimac. They were phenomenal to work with! I will use them again, and would recommend their work to anybody that needs tree removal, or stump grinding!

We have worked with Doug’s Tree Service on three different occasions to remove over 40 trees total at our home in Georgetown. Each time was a great experience and they did an awesome job. Doug and his professional crew just removed 25 tall pines at my house. I can’t say enough about how pleased I am with their work (in 90+ degree heat), their courtesy, and their clean-up. I wouldn’t even consider anyone but Doug for future work.

September, 2025 — Doug’s just finished a second stage of removal, fill, and clean-up. Couldn’t recommend them higher!

There’s a reason Doug’s Tree Service has 5 Stars. First, his pricing was in line with my expectations and reasonable compared to the other 3 quotes I received. His guys showed up in the afternoon the next day as promised, calling to let me know they were on their way. 4 guys, 4 trucks which included the crane. It took 1-1/2 hrs just like they told me. They laid mats down so not to tear up the lawn and left everything perfect; raking and cleaning before they left.

Doug’s son, who was on the job, and his crew were excellent and professional. Their equipment was first class and the crane/cutter was impressive. Made things run smooth and safe.

I had a 75’ Tulip Poplar that had sustained damaged over the winter before a third of it broke away recently. I will use Doug’s Tree Service every time. You won’t be disappointed.

I called Doug's early in the morning after a windy night when a large limb broke off a tree at my business, blocking part of my property's driveway. Doug was an absolute pleasure to work with. He responded very quickly and had my property cleaned up within just a few hours. You would be doing yourself a dis-service if you don't consider Doug's when you need tree service.

Doug is very responsive and his crew was great. His son took care of a large storm damaged tree in our front yard and then Evan and Hank pruned back a huge hedge that hadn’t been trimmed in years. They got the job done faster than expected and made sure we were happy with everything. This company does things right.

I can’t say enough about Doug’s Tree Service. We needed two very large hemlocks removed and Doug was referred to me by someone else who was happy with his work. It was an extremely difficult job - electrical wires, a house, 9000lb tree, distance, weird angles, narrow dead end road - you name it we had it but Doug and his team made it look like a piece of cake. They had the right equipment, people and expertise to do it right. Everyone was friendly, professional and worked in an efficient manner. Crane was set up, trees cut, chipped, logs removed, property cleaned up afterwards and removal of all equipment and personnel was done in the time frame promised. I hope I don’t ever have to cut more trees but if I did I would definitely work with Doug’s Tree Service again!

We have used Doug's Tree Service for a couple of years at our condo complex. Their expertise is second to none. They are competent, polite, efficient and do a great clean up job. I would highly recommend them for any tree removal work.

A HUGE shoutout to Doug’s Tree Service for your help! A giant tree fell through our Salisbury property yesterday and Doug himself came out right away and assessed and gave us an estimate. First thing the next morning they were there with their crane and all, and by 10:15 everything was removed and cleaned up and they even did the emergency tarping on the roof to protect the house from any further weather damages. Thank you guys so much!
