GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!!! I am a builder and needed a tree removed on a jobsite. Bernie and his crew came when they said they would, were professional and did a thorough job removing a near 100' Oak that was overhanging the house from a rear yard. After the job was complete they cleaned everything up well. I have used other tree crews in the past but Bernie's team really impressed me. I would definitely recommend them.

Bernie and his guys always take care of us. We worked together over 5 times. Fair prices, always on time and I trust his opinions. Highly recommended!

They didn't finish the job, still expected to get paid and called the police when we said we wouldn't pay them until it was finished.

Update: police sided with me and I paid Bernie the cost of the job minus the portion they did not complete. I will hire a reliable company to complete the job. And it is not on a mountain.

Very professional outfit from onsite to the business side. Prompt response and service. Fair estimate and stuck to the price. Crew did a wonderful job of not just removing the trees but cleaning up the debris as well. Would do business with again and highly recommend.

I’ve referred several clients to Bernie Tree Service over the years based on work they did at my own property. Bernie Tree Service (or the old company) was always dependable, responsive, and easy to communicate with, which made recommending them easy.

Unfortunately, my recent experience was very disappointing. After a tree fell on a referred client’s property, I reached out right away and passed along a specific request from the client to be notified before anyone arrived. That request was ignored, and someone showed up unannounced—causing confusion and damaging trust.

I also made multiple attempts to reach Bernie directly, but my messages were routed through someone who showed little urgency. Since then, my calls have gone unanswered and are now going to voicemail. The communication and coordination I once relied on are no longer there.

Based on this experience, I can no longer recommend this company. I hope they take this feedback seriously, especially when long-standing relationships and referrals are at stake.

We had a tree cut down yesterday by Bernie Tree Service. The crew did a great job especially on a very windy day. The price was very fair, and we are extremely pleased with what was done as well a great clean up. Highly recommend!

I was highly recommended Bernie by my boyfriends cousin and they a wonderful job! Got an appointment right away, quote came in same day & started/finished work the next day. Professional team, extremely polite. My neighbors massive tree grows into my yard and above my pool making filter/pool maintenance a nightmare. Bernie Tree Service has completed three separate projects for me, ranging from removing a massive 3.5’ diameter ash tree and two major pruning jobs to remove the top 4’ of a row of 12’ hemlocks and arborvitae trees. The crew was very efficient and easy to convey my specific wishes during the work. Cleanup was equally quick & efficient, leaving my property without a speck of debris. Bernie Tree Service is, in my opinion, the absolute best.

Bernie stop by township and filed permit, discussed job detail with township forrest department. They help me removed 2 big trees, 6 small trees, large size brushes.

Bernie and his crew were awesome! We had a 180 foot tree that was growing two trees out of one stump, which was a lot weight/strain on the base. Bernie came to examine the tree and confirmed that the roots were too shallow and not healthy enough to support the tree. He was able to act fast and get his team over the following week. They worked quickly to get the job done in one day and cleaned up well. We are very happy with their service and got a fair price. We highly recommend them!

I had a storm damaged triple trunk silver maple removed from my backyard by Bernie Tree Service. It was a challenge due to the size of the tree, the fenced in yard and the proximity to buildings but the crew had it out safely in one day. They even rescued 2 baby squirrels from the tree so their mama could reclaim them! The crew did a very professional job.

He offered a competitive price of $6,000 compared to the $6,500 from the others. His team handled the job professionally, especially the challenging removal of a nearly 4-foot-wide sycamore tree located very close to our house. The entire process took two days, and everything was done safely and efficiently. Overall, we’re pleased with the quality and value of the work.

The service was amazing and the price was very reasonable! We had quite a number of tall trees along with many more small ones. Our yard was a forest that was a nightmare to manage! The team arrived on time and got to work quickly. Towards the late afternoon it was all cut down, uprooted, and cleaned up. Super fast and professional! Will definitely recommend the service.
