Careless driver. The driver was speeding and cut off people on 295 south in the Mount Holly around noon time on September 10th 2022.

Prices are higher than I would like. However, they do good work and have warrenty to back up their work. Installed my heating system, replaced my garbage disposal, repaired / replaced my bathroom plumbing, installed a new toilet and replaced my property waste pipe. They also repaired my ceiling after the work to prepare for painting (in the dining room).

After having a water heater problem for the past two years the Manufacturer (AOSmith) sent me replacement parts to fix the issue, the Manufacturer also gave me the name of their “preferred” technician, after many phone calls and “missed” communications the “preferred” tech never showed up to do the repair when promised.
On 11/14/22 I called Sheridan Plumbing and HVAC and they showed up SAME DAY and completed the repair in under 1 hour, their technician (Karl) was EXCELLENT with the repair all while teaching his Apprentice (Matt) about the defect along with the process of diagnosis and repair. SHERIDAN was on time, did the repair efficiently and left my house neat and clean.
I just want to say THANK YOU to Kevin Sheridan and his PROFESSIONAL TEAM for a GREAT EXPERIENCE after having such a poor experience with a competitor.

System: 80% natural gas furnace, ECM motor + single stage A/C w/whole house humidifier and Honeywell T10 WiFi thermostat.

Process: since we have solar and a ridiculously insulated house, I originally wanted a heat pump. However, in Southern NJ, you still need heat strips or a natural gas backup. John was kind enough to quote heat pump w/gas backup as well as a traditional furnace. I originally opted for heat pump but finally realized what he was saying - if you have a really low gas bill (<$500/yr), you are probably going to lose money with the more efficient system. I liked that he didn't just try to sell me on the most expensive option, but rather the right option for my situation.

Install took a few tries to get it exactly right. However, one of my bigger tests is what a company does after the check clears. They promptly addressed all issues, most of which were quite minor, promptly - even after the payment was made.

The system never turns off. The motor is always on low and increases with heat demand (should be same with A/C). The air is cleaner, the bathrooms less humid and the 1st and 2nd floors are much closer in temp. The thermostat also allowed me to put a wireless remote sensor in the nursery to ensure that that room is at the desired temp. I really like that. I haven't noticed an increase in my electric bill with the always on motor, as it uses quite little energy on low and should help with the A/C. It might actually lower the bill, as it evens out the house. The whole house humidifier saves me the chore of daily filling and weekly cleaning for 3 humidifiers and requires no work on my part, aside from an annual media replacement.

I can't speak to the A/C yet, but I'm not worried about it as I'm confident if there are any issues, they'll be addressed promptly this summer. The front office (billing, etc.) was very easy to work with. Good company. I wish that we'd done this 6 years ago, when we bought the house.

Probably not accepting new customers
I needed a new Heater, the salesperson came for an estimate and promptly provided the estimate. I wanted to have a quick chat before signing the contract. However, after several calls to the company, I couldn't get anyone to call me back. Looks like the company is not keen to get new customers or something else is going on in the company. Either way they should have told that before wasting time and energy from both side.

Great service, friendly staff. I have used Sheridan for my business, my home, and my mother’s home. Very thoughtful, courteous, professional, and when they are done it’s like they were never even there. I am always impressed with how clean my space has been after they are done.

A solutions based mind set, they don’t leave till the job is done and done right.

I called Sheridan about a leak near my dishwasher. They were able to come out the same day and both plumbers were very polite, but after half an hour they determined they couldn’t diagnose the issue and charged me $159. I understand that they need to be compensated for their time, but I wish I had been informed up front about the diagnostic cost, especially since they ultimately didn’t discover any new information. Just wanted to give others a heads up so you’re aware of pricing.

I called Sheridan to help me with an urgent HVAC issue during the hottest time in the summer. They were so responsive, professional, and sympathetic to my situation that I immediately felt at ease with them. The technicians came out quickly and found the problem immediately. I thought it was going to be a big and expensive problem but they were very honest with me and were able to pinpoint the problem and fix it cheaply (but professionally) and fast. I couldn’t be more happy with their work. I am looking to replace my AC system soon and will definitely be calling Sheridan. Very honest and reliable company.
