Steve and the crew did a great job 💯. My pool, yard and patio were immaculately clean after a days work of tree cutting. Not to mention Steve's warm personality & price made us reach out to many friends and neighbors to use them.

Marlboro Township hired your company to remove two dangerous trees. The three men who came did the most to amazing removal and clean up. No one would ever know that the two trees had ever been three. Thank you General Tree Service

This company was hired by our neighbor to clear out a lot of trees on her property in Marlboro. A fence runs between our property and theirs, but due to a buried drain line, the fence is not on the property line and one large tree is on her side of the fence (but on our property). The tree provides significant privacy to block a busy roadway. On Friday, the tree company approached us and asked if they could remove some dead branches from the tree. We agreed, but emphasized that is all we would want done as it was our tree and they understood and complied with just removing a few dead branches. On Saturday, we returned home from errands to see they went back and not only cut significant branches from the tree, but topped off most of it so any privacy was gone. We spoke to who we believed to be the business owner on site, and he said he has a contract with the owner and to take it up with her. We tried to tell him that we told his company yesterday it was our tree and he simply shrugged his shoulders, says he has a contract and that he was too busy to speak to us any further. We informed him we would get a police incident report and he said for us to do what we wanted but couldn’t spend any more time on it as he had to get back to work. I get that you have a contract with the property owner, but they told us you shouldn’t have done it and would speak to you about it. Nothing can be done now to fix what was done, but not listening to our concerns and offering any form of apology is simply unprofessional.

Called for tree trimming of high branches overhanging side driveway and garage. Made an appointment for a visit and estimate, gal said next Monday, between 9am- 1 pm for someone to come out. Waited all morning, even as I’d had a minor plumbing/toilet issue the evening before (Sunday night). Guy called at 12:25 pm left a message, called him right back but only voicemail. Called the office and the gal said he was already doing another estimate and I’d have to reschedule for another day. Completely unprofessional! I’d try someone else. (And am doing so)

General Tree Experts removed several trees from our home on August 4, 2025. The pricing was reasonable and Steve’s crew did an amazing job. They are some of the best workers we’ve seen. Everyone was professional and clean up was great. We highly recommend this service!

On November 5, 2025, my neighbor right next-door to me hired General tree with the owner Steve, I was having a bathroom remodeled, and I had construction people coming, this company blocked my driveway with a huge truck for 50 minutes, I asked nicely numerous times I didn’t wanna make an issue because my neighbor hired them finally I had to come back out and demand that they move their truck only for the English broken speaking man tell me I don’t own the street which was part of my driveway apron, my contractor couldn’t get in then finally I told him to get off the front of my property, my front landscaping, which is meticulously done, for the first time in 22+ years that I’m living there. I felt like I did not own my home, they refused to get off my property. I worked previously in a job with all men and I never felt this way, but this man, Steve and his men was so misogynist. I will never recommend these people and to add insult to injury, I wind up needing 23 stitches, trying to clean up the mess and the gouges they made to my front lawn, I suffered that injury when I pulled the cord from my leaf blower and the whole mechanism came off and ripped my leg open, that would never happen. Have they been a professional company disgusting company and the owner Steve I went to go to his office only to find out with my own eyes. It’s as far as you can see his land so he’s a rich guy that doesn’t give a crap about us little people, I tried to speak to him because I had sprinkler service coming over to close my line for the winter and on November 5 the nights were getting colder. He couldn’t care less. I had to cancel my sprinkler line blowout, I had to hit one star otherwise it wouldn’t let me go forward, but not only does. He deserve no stars. He deserves to have his license pulled, and his business which I’m sure is cash only because that’s what he told. My neighbor needs to be investigated, don’t you pay taxes? I pay taxes.
