Can't recommend them enough. With natural gas recently run into our development, we called a bunch of companies to help convert us. Jack Frost was just the best and most straight forward with how it would get done with reasonable timelines and a price that made sense. They just recently did the work and I couldn't be happier with their work. Super professional and their attention to detail (just little things like releveling my range, cleaning up previous work that was done, etc.) was perfect. Huge thank you to Tyler and Mario. Great work!

I just had an old air conditioner replaced in my home by the Jack Frost company ,and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. From start to finish, their service was exemplary.

First, the consultation process was straightforward and informative. The lead technician took the time to understand my specific needs and explained all the available options in detail. I felt confident in choosing the right system for my home, thanks to their expert guidance.

On the day of the installation, the team arrived promptly and got to work immediately. They were professional, courteous, and incredibly efficient. The entire installation process was completed ahead of schedule, and they made sure to clean up thoroughly before leaving. I was impressed by their attention to detail and commitment to ensuring everything was done correctly.

The new air conditioner works perfectly, and the difference in comfort is noticeable. My home is now consistently cool, and the system operates quietly and efficiently. The technicians also provided me with clear instructions on how to use and maintain the new unit, which I greatly appreciated.

Overall, Jack Frost exceeded my expectations in every way. Their dedication to customer satisfaction and high-quality workmanship is evident in every aspect of their service. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of HVAC services.

This was the second time I had Jack Frost come to address an issue with my Energy Kinetics oil burner. Both times service and advise was excellent. Based upon my prior experiences I signed up for their maintenance program. Thank You Tom and Tom Jr

Good customer service and fair pricing. Professional and caring staff. Response is pretty quick. Took the monthly plan for peace of mind and glad I did.

****Really sorry I shared this misleading post. A year later and a huge problem with my furnace which I was told should have been identified on the last visit so that I could have avoided replacing a 4 year old furnace. Also, refused to service my unit after install because someone else did the replacement and I paid the monthly fees for a year.

Also, Jack Frost never suggested to check my warranty on the unit, just wanted to charge me an astronomical amount. Unit was covered under warranty.

These guys are actual life savers. I had a huge issue using AJ Perry where they could not figure out what was wrong with my heat pump/breaker, sent 6 people out to my house and then eventually gave up on me at 8pm on the coldest day of the year. Tyler from Jack Frost came, was inside my house for less than 5 minutes, diagnosed the issue, gave me a number for an amazing electrician and didnt even charge me. I will absolutely without a doubt be using Jack Frost for everything else I need going forward. Absolute professionals, friendly and beyond fair. Thank you Jack Frost.

I wish google allows negative reviews, these guys are pathetic especially the ones picking up the phone. There was a lady today that I spoke to and I explained her everything that I own the property and a tenant lives there. She was worried about payment and I was okay to give her my credit card details. She also confirms appointment today between 2-3 pm which I communicated to the Tenant. After that, she said we cannot do the service and she doesn’t give any reason for that. She was so rude and just hung up. I called them back again and a guy picked up the next time. I explained him everything but then he he doesn’t give me an answer too, and he was talking to her in between by putting me on mute And the reason they gave me was they don’t want to get involved between tenant and owner. I don’t understand why this is the reason because I explained this at the very beginning of the call that I am the owner and I need the service for my property and there is a tenant living there. She said yes to it, but later denied service. After confirming the appointment they wasted my time and effort, and I would never recommend them to anyone. The person lied to me. Now wonder their recent reviews are poor. AVOID THEM

My oil furnace stopped working on the coldest day of this year so far. They were super courteous on the phone and was available same day. Came to do the maintenance on my furnace and it’s back up and keeping us warm again. Thank you!

UPDATE: I feel a deep need to update my review. A few years ago my original home furnace finally died and we opted for a full hvac replacement including condenser. They did the whole job, left the home. I come in and notice the oil furnace exhaust was blowing directly into our basement. They decided to bypass the power vent, and if I didn't know anything about it, my family would've been killed overnight. Of course I called them and they sent some kids to come fix it which took forever. They really felt no remorse.

One year later, I called them about maintenance and reminded them about our incident and they had the audacity to attempt to charge us a 1 year maintenance fee we never agreed upon before they would even come to our house. For some reason, we decided to have them come anyways because maybe they would do us right.

The guy that came scammed us yet again, trying to get over $2k out of us. He installed a new switch inside the furnace for $1k then tells us our power vent board also needs replacing at over $1k too. I stopped him right there and decided to do it myself. I got a $100 board, swapped it, and realized this dude swapped cables inside the furnace on purpose so it wouldn't work. Once I swapped wires it worked like a charm. My family and I really feel violated by these guys and have a hard time trusting any contractor ever again. I recently had a new company come inspect for us and he warned us that even the new install from Jack Frost looks like a hack job with tons of code violations and a complete lack of permit and inspection requirements.

We had our new air conditioning system installed June 7th!! The process started two weeks before when Tyler came out and inspected our system. Our system failed after 22 years and after finding out we had duct work that needed to be replaced the job became bigger than we anticipated. We had other companies come out to bid as well but Tyler was great to work with and never pressured us for a decision like other companies. we decided with Jack Frost after reading many positive reviews about their customer service. The install went smoothly with Mario and his crew working hard to get the job done right. The entire crew was polite, cleaned up after the job, and explained the system to us. Mario even stayed after 7 pm on a Friday make sure everything was done perfectly! Tyler showed up that day as well to check in and make sure there were no problems! All around a great experience working with this company! We would highly recommend them!

UPDATE August 2024: Our upstairs A/C wasn't working so I put in a call. Jack Frost dispatched the next morning, diagnosed and repaired the problem, once again proving why I have a maintenance contract. The unit they repaired is nearly 20 years old, so when it comes time to replace it, Jack Frost definitely has my business!

UPDATE July 2023: Our A/C went out on one of the hottest days of the year! I called Jack Frost since we have a maintenance contract with them, and after apologizing about being backlogged, they were able to squeeze me in for an appointment the next day. They arrived early and were done in 30 minutes ... unit fixed and family nice and cool again. Highly recommended!

From 2020 ... We reached out to 3 or 4 other service providers that were recommended to us but they never returned our calls. Jack Frost was available to come out the same day and installed my new furnace the next day! I thought that their price was reasonable and the installation team did an excellent job. They actually ran into an issue as they were firing up the furnace and persevered until the issue was resolved (which was actually a bit elusive). I liked them so much, I signed up for a service contract to cover all of the furnaces and hot water heaters in my home. Kudos!

Jack Frost rescued us 2 days before Christmas when our boiler shut down! Thank you for your speedy professional work! They also installed our new a/c system last summer. We trust their work and they have always been available quickly for us! Highly recommend Jack Frost!

Was having an issue with my air conditioning 3 zones. Tyler showed up the same as I called debugged the problem, one if the dampers was broken. Part was ordered, a few days later came back and replace the damper solenoid, it was 95 outside and like a sauna in the attic. Once the damper was replaced another issue popped up, Tyler debug the system pretty quickly and got all the zones working correctly. Now the downstairs cools correctly, Thank you very much for such prompt and professional service.

Overall experience was great. I needed an inspection done on my system and they scheduled an appointment the next day. Tyler came out to do the inspection work. He was great ! 3 P’s - Prompt , professional & polite . Will definitely be using them again for any of my HVAC work .

I scheduled a maintenance service on my boiler last week to be done this morning between 9am and 1030. I’m a working mom with one day off and rearranged work and childcare to do this service. I called at 10:15 to check on the technician status. They said they would call back as they had an emergency no heat priority call which I completely understand takes precedence. I did ask if there would be a later time that would be more convenient for them and they asked me what time I preferred and I said I would try to work around their technician. They called back 30 minutes later at 10:45 to let me know the technician was about a 30 minute drive from me and was leaving the site shortly. I got a text 30 more minutes later at 11:15 saying the technician was on their way. Half the day, my only day off, gone, waiting for someone do to a 45 minute job. I called again and I asked for a supervisor. I spoke with Jessica. I asked for the onsite technician cost to be removed from my bill seeing as the inconvenience of not only the lateness of my service as well as the lack of communication. Jessica refused and explicitly told me I simply “do not understand.” She said she communicated with me and offered a later time.

If you HAD communicated with me, instead of ME calling YOU, this would have been a wildly different experience. Instead I was met with “your service doesn’t take priority over people with no heat.”

You are 100% correct and I agree. My maintenance service DOES NOT and should not take priority. But communication with your customers does. A 5 minute phone call to tell me the status of my service time. A genuine “I’m so sorry for the inconvenience” goes such a long way.
I cried on the phone and Jessica could not have been more unauthentic in her apology. I told them not to come at all. I’d find another company.

Zach arrived a few minutes early (yay). He was incredibly polite and friendly. He got right to work and checked the main AC system and then the mini-split. Zach explained everything for both systems and wanted to make sure we understood everything and had no questions. We renewed our contract for next year and are still quite happy with Jack Frost. The below review was submitted by me last year and we’re still happy !

Tyler came by to discuss an annual service plan for us and happily arrived a bit early. He was super friendly and knowledgeable about our AC, furnace and water heater. He understood our concerns and was able to answer all of our questions. We are happy with the price offered and how quickly we were able to get our appointment. We’re looking forward to a long relationship.

Purchased a house and asked Jack Frost to come out and do the evaluation and the tune up. Thomas Sr. spent a few hours going over all items, correcting issues and explaining the system setup. He was very knowledgeable and thorough.

I have been a loyal member of Jack Frost for four years. During this time, I have consistently received excellent service from their field technicians. They are knowledgeable, professional, and communicative, and I have no complaints regarding the quality of service provided in the field.

However, my recent interaction with the company's receptionist was less than ideal. After my credit card—previously linked to my membership—was stolen and subsequently canceled, I inadvertently lapsed on payments for two months. When I called to clarify the billing process, I found the receptionist’s response dismissive and unhelpful. Rather than providing a clear explanation of the membership terms, she immediately suggested canceling my membership and even mentioned recalling the technician scheduled for my service. I found this approach unprofessional and shitty and expressed my disappointment in a less-than-ideal manner by saying such. Unfortunately, from that point on, the conversation became even less constructive, and I ultimately agreed to make the payment simply to receive service.

This experience left a negative impression, which was reinforced by a comment from a field technician acknowledging similar challenges with the receptionist. While I continue to highly recommend the field team for their exceptional work, the complexity of the membership terms and this particular customer service interaction have made it difficult for me to endorse the company as a whole.

Tyler had installed our new AC system. After having gotten 2 other quotes, I felt the most comfortable with Jack Frost. The communication, service, pricing and whole process was very professional and straight forward. I highly recommend them.

Jack Frost is great to work with and has done work in numerous homes belonging to our extended family. I was able to get them out to my home quickly to inspect my AC and heating after a new home purchase. Tyler was great to work with and was very attentive in listening to the issues we were seeing and was very professional in all aspects of the job. Tyler came back a second time to do a full AC cleaning and double check that we were not still experiencing any issues after his initial visit. I would highly recommend working with Jack Frost and Tyler.

We used Jack Frost to perform a Natural Gas Conversion at our home and were Very Satisfied with our experience. Tyler and his team responded quickly at the onset of the project and carried that energy through to completion. They quickly obtained permits from the town, obtained the necessary materials/conversion kits and performed the installation quickly and with quality workmanship. Tyler, Tom and Mario were professional, friendly, knowledgeable and reliable. They also provide email-reminders for appointments & text-alerts when a technician is in-route to our home. A Quality Outfit!

Never use this service for a consultation -- they are extremely pricey and also are very sales-y. They were completely dishonest on their assessment of my air conditioning situation. It was obvious that they were attempting to build a sense of urgency from a sales perspective. Little do they know, I have access to people who know A/C and there's something called Google that can easily disqualify their "expert" claims.

Their guy came over for a initial consultation -- and he sized up the job to being around $1,000. The quote sent to me was more north towards $2,500. Super dishonest.

Stay away from them and work with people that are only on a referral basis -- it's the way to go with A/C unfortunately.

** For potential customers reading this — a quick note after their response below:

The tone and content of their reply say everything. Rather than addressing the actual concerns I raised — like the 2.5x price jump or the pushy sales tactics — they went straight to snark. That’s not how professional businesses handle feedback, especially public-facing ones. If this is how they handle fair criticism, imagine how they handle customer concerns behind closed doors.

Save yourself the headache — look for a company that acts like they’ve been here before.

    ***Update as of 7/5/25:
I had a second HVAC professional come out. He was transparent, clearly diagnosed the issue, and walked me through multiple options — no scare tactics, no unnecessary upsells, and he didn’t charge a dime for the consultation. His quote? $700 for the full job. Jack Frost quoted me $2,500 for the same work, padded with vague "maintenance" items I didn’t need.

Here’s the real issue: Jack Frost runs a racket. They charge $300+ for a bare-minimum consultation, then hit you with an inflated quote full of upsells you don’t need. It’s a win-win for them — either you bite on the $2,500 job, or they still walk away with hundreds just for showing up. That kind of model doesn’t incentivize honest work — it incentivizes maximizing the invoice.

Avoid Jack Frost if you don’t want to get taken for a ride.

AS we turned our ac unit on for the season, my 25 year old central AC unit was making very loud noises, it almost sounded like a jet plane. The only major repair done on this unit was last year when the fan motor needed replacement. Other than that this unit has over performed for us for years. We made the call to Jack Frost after the other company (that put in the new fan) was unable to come out and service for 5 days. We fully expected that this unit was most likely done since it was 25 years old and were bracing for the possibility that we were in for some serious expenses. Tyler came out to our home and performed a full inspection and said the unit, for it's age, was in ok condition and it looked like the fan was the culprit. (We were a little annoyed because we e just replaced it the year before). He did not try to sell us a new unit and was very honest and I appreciate that so much. He was able to order an OEM fan replacement and came back within a week and installed it in record time. He was courteous and very informative when we asked questions. I know this AC unit can go at any time but for now we are good and the out of pocket was not all that bad, considering the alternative. I will be using them again, but hopefully not for a while!
