The total cost came out to be $3,300, which included $550 for emergency service, $1,000 for the sump pump itself, and $1655 for labor. He never discussed the installation details with me or asked if I was comfortable with the new pump at that price.

When I expressed my dissatisfaction, he offered a reduced price of $2550 but still insisted on charging me for the removal of the old sump pump. After multiple requests to speak with his manager, he refused and didn't provide any information about the sump pump's specifications or type. The company didn't return my calls. I'm relieved that my complaints have saved me $1350, but I'm still being ripped off.

What's worse is that they seem to target affluent neighborhoods by quoting high prices initially and then lowering it after some negotiation.
