Nick and his team did a phenomenal job transforming our concrete backyard that overlooked a parking lot, into a private relaxing oasis. They installed fencing, a privacy wall, turf, planters and trees. Green City Design exceeded our expectations, they were professional, knowledgable and overall great to work with. I can't recommend them enough!

Green City Design completely redid our 600 foot terrace and provided a final product far exceeded our expectations. They gave us the “wow” factor we were looking for.

Nick completely transformed our back and front yards creating a place we want to spend all of our time. From the first meeting, Nick was consultative and helpful without being pushy and really listened to our goals. His vision was spot on from the first design specs and he executed flawlessly along the way. We trusted Nick's expertise in plant selection and the placement of decking and patio and could not be happier with the outcomes. Nick's business acumen also put us at ease. Nick and his crew are hands down the best in the area. They overhauled the courtyard and parking lot plantings in our condo building in Jersey City Heights. I interviewed many others and none came close to the degree of professionalism and understanding of keeping our garden spaces natural and beautifully designed. The plantings have majorly upgraded our common spaces and are low maintenance with zero chemical sprays, or plastic coverings. They also put in irrigation for us and have been really helpful in making sure it's all working post-winter. I'd definitely hire them again!

We had our entire backyard re-done in Hoboken - Nick and his team were great to work with. Very creative, yet detail-oriented, patient with our many questions and flexible as we changed a few design items along the way. Greencity Design completely transformed our outdoor space from something completely unusable, overgrown and dangerous to our toddler, too an amazing play, dining, lounging and BBQ space! From design to execution (in the face of COVID restrictions and delays) Nick and the team were on point, communicated everyday and worked with our neighbors to ensure a respectful environment in our neighborhood.

Nick was on site 99% of the days rain, hail or shine and always available on the phone if anything came up (like the audible we pulled on him same day to reduce the retaining wall height!)

Nick went above and beyond in designing a unique layout for my backyard in a modern-boho style. He offered valuable ideas to enhance my vision and it turned out extremely professional looking, while maintaining the bohemian feel I wanted.

My wife and I hired Green City Design to install a patio and re-do the landscaping in our backyard. This was a unique job because we live in an apartment building with limited access to the outdoor space. Nick did an incredible job coming up with a design that fit our needs and budget. He was very accommodating, making himself available early in the morning or later in the evenings to meet and discuss the project. He and his team did a great job on the project, working quickly to acquire the necessary permits and complete the job in time for us to enjoy it during the warmer months. I have no hesitation in recommending Green City Design as our experience was very positive and exceeded our expectations.

Nick and his team did an excellent job of transforming our unfinished backyard into a space that is calming, comfortable, and low maintenance. Nick was able to match and extend our existing patio to better utilize our space. His team installed artificial turf that is high quality and safe for my toddler to play on. They planted a beautiful array of flowers, grasses, and bushes with my existing plants mixed in. They installed an irrigation system and topped the flower beds with mixed river rock that is not only visually pleasing but also functions to keep the soil in place. Nick’s finishing touch was the placement of a gorgeous Japanese Maple that brings the entire space together. I highly recommend Green City Design to anyone interested in revamping an outdoor space.

Nick & his team designed our backyard for us in Downtown Jersey City from something which was non functional to a beautiful, child and pet friendly place. He was very proactive right from the first correspondence and paid attention to all details. His team was very courteous of our space and always treated it with respect and care. The entire work was carried out by them walking through the house but they left no damage. He always kept our budget constraints in mind while designing the space and was never pushy. The project consisted of hauling tons of dirt, mud and paver materials outside and bringing in new pavers, turf, laying out plants and planters. They installed a beautiful fountain for the space too.

Green City Design - All aspects of what I expect were exceeded - responsiveness, professional knowledge and integrity, calm, patient, thorough, creative, great advisor and collaborator (good listeners to my needs). And the quality of the work was fantastic - they were on time, did a difficult job with careful precision and an eye for detail. The job required them to move materials back and forth through the house....they left the house cleaner than they found it! I love the end product and working with GCD (Nick and his crew) was the best experience and decision I could have made. You would be foolish to entertain using anyone else.

Nick is a perfectionist with a real vision for landscape design. He's experience brings life to areas with clear intentions for utilizing spaces. Highly recommend!
