Reviews of local pros in Landing, New Jersey

Terence and Alan did a fantastic job removing and trimming trees for me. Communication was great and when they did the work they were safe, efficient, and clean. Reasonably priced too. Highly recommend!

I am very happy to be able to recommend Terrence and Al from Shark Tree Service. It is hard to find old-fashioned reliable and affordable service in NJ anymore, but this company keeps the tradition going. As a customer they treat me as if I were their only customer - personalized, promptly and efficiently. My husband and I so appreciate this and are very grateful that we discovered Shark Tree Service decades ago. We have stuck by them ever since. Attached is a before and after picture of one of the trees on our property that they hand prune every two years - a Japanese maple which is about 40 yrs. old. Nice to see they love trees and work with them to save them. They also saw off big snapped or decayed limbs and are very fair with their prices, especially considering the customized job they do. Terrence knows his stuff being an arborist which is a plus, and has a heart for the critters which they always seem to meet up with. (This is a BIG + with me!!!) In all respects I can't say enough about Shark Tree Service: all around great guys, great company, great work. And I love supporting local independent businesses. THANK YOU, GUYS!

I needed a tree removed for a solar installation project. Working with Shark Tree Service was great. Start to finish, it was a flawless process. Terence’s quote was competitive. They showed up exactly when they said they would, worked very efficiently and considering the size of the double tree and it’s location, everything was left completely clean. I 100% recommend them for any tree removal projects.

Terence took down the tree near wires. He was careful. They do great work. Clean up and affordable. Nice guys. Will recommend to others.

We had a great experience with Terence and Shark Tree Service. I had an elm partially split during a windy day and was afraid it would come down on its own. He came out right away that same morning to take a look and give me an estimate. He was able to remove the split tree and another dead elm the very next day. He was able to maneuver into a tricky space with his lift and cleaned up all the wood and branches when he was done. Friendly, easy to work with, and reasonably priced; I will definitely use Shark again.

Had a large tree fall on my garage after a storm. I called Terence at Shark Tree Service, he and Al came to my house early Saturday morning and and did a great job. He came with his Grapplesaw Truck, set it up and made quick work of the tree. They even cut up the trunk to 18" lengths so I could chop them up for firewood. He and Al were extremely friendly and offered to answer any questions I had, and show me exactly what they were doing. I would highly recommend Terence and Shark Tree Service to anyone in need.

For a quick dependable tree service I highly recommend Shark Tree. They came out the same day and then just a couple of days. My yard has been cleaned up from a fallen tree. Thank you so much. Before and after pictures added.

I called for an estimate and Terrence came out the same day and quoted me a great price. Terrence and his crew were professional, courteous, showed up when they said they would, worked fast and did a thorough cleanup. Friendly and knowledgeable guy with a great crew who did a quality job. I will be turning to them again in the future should the need arise. Very much recommend.

Terence at Shark Tree Service did an Amazing job with our tree removal project! Terrence and his assistant removed 8 trees from our property. Some trees were in hard to get to areas in our yard. No problem! They will climb those trees and remove them one limb at time. Very Neat and very Professional job at a great price!

We honestly cannot say enough positive things about Shark Tree Service. We needed to have an Ash tree removed rather quickly and called Shark Tree Service for an estimate. We called Terrence last Friday, he came out the very same day and gave us a very reasonable, very fair estimate for the tree removal. He answered all of our questions, made suggestions and we hired him on the spot. Terrence and his helper, Al, came to our house this morning and removed the tree. Terrence is extremely knowledgeable, he is professional, courteous, reliable and responsible. He has all of necessary equipment to do the job correctly and efficiently. They went over and beyond just taking a tree down. They moved all of cut up pieces up to the street and loaded them onto his truck. They worked very well and very hard together until the job was finished. They cleaned up our front lawn before leaving. We could not be more impressed, more happy or more satisfied with their work. We highly recommend Shark Tree Service and we know for a fact that we will be hiring him again in the near future for more tree removals. If you need trees removed, Terrence is the guy.

I needed 2 dead trees taken down behind my home and Shark Tree Service came to the rescue. Reasonably priced and prompt service. Terrence provided good communication during the whole process, from quote to scheduling. Thank you Terrence and Al for a job well done!

This is our 2nd time using Terence at Shark Tree and it was another 5 star experience! We needed a dead tree removed out of our yard. I was convinced this was going to be a huge job due to how the area is accessed but it was easy peasy for him! No need for removing our gate or anything - not only did they remove the tree quickly & with ease but they cleaned up beautifully. On top of all of that Terence is so kind, reliable & a great person to work with! 10/10 recommend them!!

Shark Tree Service goes above and beyond when it comes to tree removal. We were super impressed by how efficient & knowledgeable Terrance & Al were. The area was kept clean throughout the job. Our tree was in difficult spot between our house & power lines. They were able to manage without any issues & not a stick was left behind. Above all the price couldn’t be beat! We will definitely be hiring Shark Tree Service again!

I can't say enough good things about Terrance as I have been using him for years. I needed 2 ash trees removed which were leaning dangerously close to the neighbors house. Whether its taking a tree down or trimming down branches he always is reliable with extremely fair prices. He is the best in the area!

As advertised! First time using any tree removal company. I wanted a local company with a certified arborist. I appreciate that they have a website with clear info as well. Communication was easy and efficient. Terence got back to me quickly, and figured out a good time to come out based on my busy schedule. It was easy to come up with a plan, get a written estimate and schedule a date. I really appreciated how straightforward everything was and the pricing was very fair I thought! On a budget so that was super important. Terence had one other crew member working with him who did a great job and was very nice.
I had one tree taken down and others trimmed. The tree was right on the fenceline and I was worried about my neighbor's brand new shed but everything came down in my yard and was cleaned up nicely!
They arrived on time-early actually- and were all business. No surprises and always happy to answer any questions.
Can't recommend them enough!

Shark Tree Service was exceptional! We were very impressed at their removal of our dead elm trees that were creating a hazard. One was over 80 feet tall, and they methodically took it down over the course of 3 days! Removed another dead elm and several other logs that had fallen previously. Cleared the brush and debris, the yard looks so much better! Excellent pricing compared to another company's quote. Highly recommended!

I can’t say enough great things about Shark Tree Service and its owner, Terrence. From the very first call, Terrence was professional, responsive, and genuinely cared about doing the job right. He came out quickly to assess our trees, explained exactly what needed to be done, and gave us a fair, transparent quote—no hidden surprises.

On the day of the service, the crew arrived right on time and worked with incredible skill and efficiency. They handled some very large, overgrown trees with precision and safety, leaving the yard spotless when they were done. You could tell they take real pride in their work.

What impressed me most was Terrence’s honesty and attention to detail. He went above and beyond—checking the health of a few other trees and even offering advice on how to keep them thriving. It’s rare to find someone so passionate about their craft and so committed to customer satisfaction.

If you’re looking for a trustworthy, knowledgeable, and top-quality tree service, Shark Tree Service is the one to call. Terrence and his team are true professionals, and I’ll be recommending them to everyone I know!

I recently hired Shark Tree to take down a huge tree in our front lawn. Terence and his team did a fantastic job from start to finish. His team is punctual, professional and pleasant to do business with! Highly recommend.

What Can I say. Called Terence and was at house next day and looked over job and gave me an estimate, which was good. Was at house the following week and completed the job. This is how a business should be run. He was on time, very efficient and did a great job cleaning up. I have used him before and shall continue to use him. I highly recommend him for tree work !!!!

Incredible experience! We needed a couple dead and a couple bad berry trees needing to come down and he give me an on the spot estimate, came back days after I booked him and did a very professional job! They went above and beyond to protect my lawn by using sheets/covers to drive their machinery and did the project in the quoted amount of time. I really appreciate the owners professionalism and enthusiasm for safety.

As a side note, the owner is a huge animal lover and assured me he’s ok the look out for wildlife, going out of his way to protect the local squirrels.

I wish I could review them twice.. because it was that good!

Shark Tree Service did an outstanding job removing eight cedar trees from our property. They arrived right on time, worked quickly, and managed to keep noise levels surprisingly low even though they were just feet from our windows! They took care of everything—removing all the branches and wood, and thoroughly cleaning up afterward. Terence was fantastic to work with—always responsive by call or text and answered all my questions with ease. Highly recommend Shark Tree Service to anyone in need of tree services!
