Kevin runs the best contracting company I have ever dealt with, hands down, over years of many large projects. He is honest and straight-talking, so from the first meeting to the final inspection I had no concerns. The subcontractors he works with are of similar character and work ethic. It is a fine dance they do, at a tempo that is unheard of in the contracting world. The level of skill and attention to detail was truly a joy. They anticipated things before I could have noticed them and made thoughtful suggestions for improvements to the job that made my home unique to me and my needs. There is no cookie cutter work going on here! Do not be fooled by the (small) size of this company: the craftsmanship is extraordinary by any standard. Kevin’s pricing was transparent and frankly well below my other quotes. Nothing was left undone. I have absolutely no complaints or regrets hiring McCormack Contracting.

Installed sump pump and pit and as usual they did a great job.
I knew they would because I have used them for a bathroom remodel, tear down of an old porch and replaced with a new garage, new doors throughout the house as well as a new walkway in front of the house.

Can't say enough good things about the team (especially Richie), Kevin is always available and gives great advise as well as listening to what I would like done.

We hired McCormack to renovate our basement and we were more than happy with the work. His team is top notch, really great to work with and Kevin is never more than a phone call away. An all around great experience and would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Before we started our big kitchen renovation we asked dozens of people we knew who'd gone through a renovation if they liked their contractor. Everyone seemed to have an issue or two that made us wary (not very responsive, ended up costing more than they said it would, disappeared for days... etc.). Finally, our architect mentioned Kevin's name and we will be forever grateful to her for that. Not only was his initial bid completely reasonable but when we ran into unforeseen issues he was so unspeakably honest, thorough, thoughtful and truly empathetic about the situation it was incredible. He had to do SO much more work than planned and they finished on a crazy fast schedule so that we could be back in the house for Xmas. Their workmanship is extraordinary. Kevin called every morning and end of day to give us status reports. The whole team was lovely and like family. Let me just say that we will never ever embark on any work on our house using anyone else in the future. Never.

Kevin, Rich and Mark did terrific work at our place. Complete floor work, two bathrooms and complete kitchen remodel. Kevin was in constant communication and always helpful no matter what the issue. He managed his subs like a champ and they were all true craftsmen. I'm already making a list for future projects and will only use McCormack. We could not have been more pleased with both quality and price...a rare find!

We recently used Kevin to help us widen our garage door and instal new windows in our porch. Kevin and his team were responsive, professional, knowledgeable and efficient and we are very happy with the final product.

Kevin and his team just completed a deck project for us. We couldn’t be happier with the job. Through all phases of the project Kevin did just what he promised. For example, the dumpster arrived on time, all materials were delivered on the promised date and the project started on the promised date. No surprises – everything was completed as promised.

We used TimberTech decking with metal railings. The workmanship was outstanding. Our new deck is solid – no bounce at all. The corners fit tight and the metal railing is perfect. The project pricing was fair, we had 3 quotes and Kevin’s was the most competitive.

Based on our project, I would recommend McCormack Contracting for a deck project.

We have recently used Kevin and his team for two major projects in our home. In 2023 it was a complete renovation of our main bathroom. In 2024, it was a complete kitchen renovation. Kevin was sensitive to the disruptions that these types of projects can cause and worked with us to minimize that. Inspections were lined up as demo began, so that work could be completed efficiently. Attention was paid to cleanup at the end of each day. Kevin’s suggestions for a temporary kitchen helped tremendously. He surrounds himself with people (both employees and sub-contractors) who are not only highly skilled but are genuinely good people. Richie, his brother, is an amazing finish carpenter. Our kitchen designer noted that his work on the cabinet installation was some of the best she has seen. Kevin made excellent recommendations for sources of fixtures and tile. Kevin communicated with us throughout the jobs, to ensure all went smoothly and that we were happy. We highly recommend McCormack Contracting!

We recently hired Kevin and his team to install a new exterior front door, and we couldn't be happier with the job they did. From start to finish, the process was smooth, efficient, and handled with genuine care and professionalism.

Throughout the day they were clean, thorough, and respectful of our home. They took the time to clean up as they worked and left nothing behind (I think my garage was actually cleaner than before they got there).

I have recently used McCormick Contracting on a project on our newly purchased home in Morris County. This is second time I have used them, once at my previous home and now at the new. Kevin and Ritchie who are the McCormick's and their skilled workers did a wonderful job on our new home. In addition, the sub contractors that are part of the McCormick arsenal, in our case, tile, insulation, outside railing, garage doors, hard wood floors and painting are literally the best folks I have had to work with in my 35 years of owning homes. Kevin and Ritchie are skilled tradesman on their own. Experts in carpentry and design, and most importantly they have the vision on what looks good, takes the time to understand what we wanted, and not afraid to make really good suggestions. The coordination and relationships McCormack Contracting have meant in our case, the jobs were tightly organized making for a faster than promised completion on both of the major projects for both of my homes. Overall value, integrity, and quality were A+. How often do you here of that with contractors. From tiny renovations to major projects, give Kevin a call. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.
