Terrible company. Stay away. Not professional. They could not even provide an estimate. They wanted to do the job before giving an estimate. They treat their people really bad. I would never hire this company and advise you to avoid them as much as you can.

They came when they said they would. The electrician correctly figured out my problem and solved it promptly. He was very courteous and the price was reasonable.

Not responsive. Waited a month for an estimate. No contact. So I called. Nothing had been written up. A few days later I got an email saying they were way to busy to work in a small home project like mine. Would not recommend

I had two great experiences with JC electric. 1) they agreed to travel to Jersey City to perform some exploratory work on a rental property that had some electrical problems that posed a potential fire hazard. The receptionist was very kind and great at communicating, and booked an appointment within a couple days. They called the tenant directly, showed up on time, were very professional, and were able to repair the entire problem with just some minor repairs. In working with other electricians in jersey city, it is quite common for them to charge excessive fees for exploratory work because they can't quote it out before hand, but JC electric called me with an update of what the problem was, and was very reasonable in the cost of the repair. 2) The second positive experience I had with them was with our residential home. We asked them to run some cable and electrical wires behind a wall for a TV so it wouldnt be visible, and because of the layout this was a very difficult task. We actually had another electrician simply say no to the job because it was too difficult, but the technicians for JC Electric diligently accepted the challenge and did a wonderful job. I am happy to have finally found a reliable electrician and will definitely be using them for our future projects!

Even do I have no work done in my house. I feel I should give them a 5 star. I had short circuit at my home at 3:35 PM I called and they fast got somebody in the way, the only reason I cancel was my partner had a electrician from the family getting over unannounced to me, however I got a great customer service. Thanks, and in the future I definitely call back again.

My company used them, bad idea. They did not follow instructions on were to put outlets. (Did a walk through with their employee) - Stuff still did not get put in the right spot. (They said it wasn't on the blue prints, but what's the point of him going over blue prints if he didn't mark what was needed correctly?) After I notified them about a mistake they made on my fresh wall, they did not offer to fix it, fix the hole or anything. I had to go out of my way and pay for it out of my own pocket.(After a long battle they paid the measly $250 to have it fixed by a 3rd party.)-An apology would probably have been enough. The employees are very rude and the owner(Jerry) backs them, even though one of the employees clearly made a mistake. Will never be using this company again, I highly suggest you do not as well.

I had my electrical system upgraded to 300amp in preparation for a Tesla Solar Roof and Batteries. Every person I dealt with was polite and professional. At the time of this review we are still feeling the effects of COVID-19 from supply shortages the high material prices. Jerry went out of his way to make sure I got everything I needed and some things I didn't even know I needed to properly prep for the transition to a house that runs on batteries. They banged a big job out in 2 days and made the process very easy for me. I also didn't get price gouged. My first quote was outrageous and some other company was about to take advantage of my situation. My plumber recommended me to this company and I couldn't be happier with the entire process. I will be using them from here on out

Avoid this company at all costs. We had some downlights that we needed fixed (approx. 10), they had 2 techs come out and fix them and at first I thought they did a great job, they were in and out, fast and efficient. We requested the invoice many times and did not receive it until almost a month later. When we got it we noticed that they had billed us for 16.5 man hours. We knew when they came and went and the amount of time they spent in our home and we were billed almost triple the amount of time on the invoice and what we estimated was at least double the price for materials. Of course we requested descriptions of time and receipts for the materials they charged us for and they could not provide either. After speaking with them, we determined that not only were we charged for work we did not ask the techs to do but we were also charged for the time it took the techs to pick up supplies (going to the store, coming back as well as going back to the office). This charge was never disclosed to us at any point in time (and was not even broken out on the invoice). Jerry came to speak to us personally since he had never actually come to our home when the work was being done to try to resolve the issue. We hoped that when he saw the scope of work that was done and when we showed him our record of the time that he would be reasonable, which he definitely was not. When we pushed back on paying for time it took the techs to get supplies and told him that we could have gotten the supplies ourselves had we known we were being charged for it, his response was, “people who live in homes like this do not normally go and get the supplies themselves.” Who says that? There is zero transparency when it comes to what you are being billed for and they are dishonest when it comes to the hours they are billing. I would stay very far away from this company especially if you have what appears to be a nice home or live in a nice area as they will take advantage of you (and hope that you don’t notice with their delayed billing). If you still decide to use them confirm up front what “time and materials” means to them, get receipts and keep track of their time!

I used JC Electric for my new home build and had a very pleasant experience. The price was very reasonable and the quality of work was fantastic. The owner Jerry and his guys were great to work with. Definitely recommend if you want electric done right.

AVD Electric is great. Vic installed two light fixtures in two of the rooms of my home. He explained everything he was doing before starting the project. When he was finished we went through each room, tested the fixtures, and he asked if I had any questions. Vic really goes the extra mile for his clients. I would recommend AVD Electric to anyone looking to have electrical work done.

Vic of AVD Electric installed a transfer switch for a portable generator and did a very professional job, very neatly done, all in a timely manner. After being pleased with my first experience with Vic, I called him back for a second job a week later and he ran a new line for an attic fan. He had to make several holes in the wall boards of my attic to do so. With that being said, when he was finished you could hardly tell where the holes were - HIRE THIS MAN! He's not only a great electrician, he's personable, an excellent worker, and gives a fair and honest price.

During the Hurricane Sandy my power was out and I couldn't find an electrician to come to my house to make the repair. AVD was working in the neighborhood. I never used his services before and didn't know him. The utility man was nice enough to find him and give him my phone number. He called me within 1/2 hour. He was so courteous and responsive I couldn't believe it. Every other emergency service I called tried to rip me off. AVD was reasonable and seemed very concerned that I had no power. He worked until all hours of the night to get me temporary power and came back in the morning for another three hours to complete the job. I have used many electricians over the years, by far AVD is the best and I wouldn't use anyone else. Today I called him to repair my circuit breaker box. He came repaired it and while he was here I had a light fixture in the basement that wasn't working, he changed the ballasts and it works perfectly. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIS SERVICES AND HIS PRICING IS MORE THAN REASONABLE.

It should be evident from reading other reviews that these guys are great - excellent electricians, easy to work with, and fair prices for the job done well. I needed to have a new meter installed at my house and decided to go with AVD electric after reading many good reviews about them. It wasn't an easy job (any job dealing with town inspector and PSE&G isn't). Fortunately, Victor from AVD electric was there for us at every step of the road and the job was happily completed. Needless to say I highly recommend these guys for any electric work you'll need, big and small.

to have AVD Electric LLC install a 6 circuit transfer case for a home generator.
Victor was very knowledgeable on everything that had to be done. Work was
completed in a timely manner, explained how everything worked and cleaned
up after job was done. Would recommend him to all.

I can’t thank Victor enough we had a bad emergency our house got hit my lightning in the night , I couldn’t find an electrician to help me restore power fast . He answer my call early and came within an hour to help me out. He did it fast and efficient explains everything to me.

Victor was very professional and easy to deal with. He was very patient and accommodating. He installed recessed lighting in multiple living rooms for us. He fixed multiple botched outlets and switches from a previous electrician. He also ran a direct line for us to our microwave that resolved a major issue in our kitchen & fixed multiple outdoor outlets. We were beyond impressed with his work & highly recommended him.
