Make sure you are an educated consumer. Ordered a "Special Order" part for electric stove. Ended up not even breaking the seal on package. Never told of store policy of No Refund. Guy had to call owner for policy when I went to return part. No notification at purchase, no signage, nothing on receipt. Still may have purchased the part but would have preferred to know. Bad business if you ask me.

Although I have had good experiences in the past using George's for smaller appliance repairs, I was recently very disappointed in their service. Our dishwasher stopped cleaning well and we called a service man in to look at it. He failed to check the filter and shredder screen in the bottom of the unit, however. His recommendation was to replace the pump in the dishwasher, which would have cost almost as much as a new dishwasher! After some internet research (YouTube), we found out that what we were experiencing is a common issue which can be fixed by cleaning out the filters / screen. This requires just one or two hex screwdrivers. We did this, cleaned the filters and now the dishwasher works as well as it ever did. The cost was an $85 service call and a couple new screwdrivers.

Had service call for a gas leak in oven, service guy came out checked oven stated no gas leak, called PSE&G waited 4 hours only to be told still had gas leak, called back stated nothing they could do. So out $100.00 for service call, total rip off be careful when using this company!!!!!!!! You think they would have at least offered to come back out for free to recheck

My company, Duct Dudes, has been receiving jobs from George's Appliance for 3.5 years now. I have gone to their office and met their wonderful office staff. I am writing this review to let future customers who are deciding on a local appliance repair company that this is the company to select. I have been in countless homes doing work for my business that is unrelated to George's Appliance however when we speak to the customer they informed us of how much they LOVE AND TRUST George's Appliance. I mean the amount of customers i heard this from on my own is countless let alone all the times our employees report back that our customers speak so highly of George's Appliance. Despite not ever having my own personal appliances worked on by GA I know for 1000% that this company is reliable and reputable because of how nicely their existing customer base speaks of them. These guys can fix anything and they make you feel good as a customer. It's all about trust and George's Appliance you can trust.

Terrible experience with this company and I would not use it again. I called them with an error on my LG TwinWash, and they asked me for the error right away, before scheduling service. When we book time, they technician arrived, not in a happy mood, and clearly had no idea how to fix or work with the TwinWash. Even with the error I had provided, they didn't research before, he spent 30 min hitting every button, no idea what to do. He was rude, i was trying to help with what I had found online, he didn't care, he was rude that i was trying to help with the weight of the machine to give him space, until the point I just left him alone. He came back later saying that the problem is to fix a part for almost $300 bucks and of charged me a visit, to do nothing. Of course if I need to fix, it won't be with them, as I don't need people in bad mood here, nor I trust his diagnosis at all now. UPDATE: with the help of my brother, I was able to lift the main machine and do what I was trying to tell the technician to do, level the machine to the point the switch is pressed. Guess what? Didn't have to spend $300 bucks and fixed the machine for free - well, not for free because I wasted $100 with the technician visit that didn't do anything other than make it worse.

If I could give zero stars, I would. We called George's appliance to take a look at our oven that was not working. When the technician came- he quoted us a price that I thought, was about half of the cost of getting a new oven. We decided to just go with a new oven. When we told the technician- he had a horrible attitude about it and left. I paid them the $65 visit charge. A few days later, we decided to go with someone else to fix the oven instead of buying a new one and when they came in, they noticed that the ignitor in the oven was missing, as well as the screws and the brackets. The people that came to fix it said that whoever took the parts wanted to be sure that NO ONE could ever fix that oven. (We were there when they looked at the oven the second time and everything was missing already so clearly it was then man from George's who took the parts) Unfortunately we trusted the man from George's and did not watch him when he disconnected the oven. The technician stole from us and acted in a completely unethical manner. We are repeat customers and are shocked and disgusted at what happened. Needless to say, we will never use or recommend George's Appliance Service to anyone ever again.
