Called Tri Starr Electric to fix my ring door bell after house siding work. Brad came, checked out everything and fixed the issue. I also asked him few other electrical concerns I had in my house. He explained everything, gave estimate and never pressured me into buying any services. Brad was respectful, courteous and professional at all times (shoe covers, clean up etc). Super nice guy. Tri Starr Electric is my go to from now on for any electric work in my house. Highly recommend them.

We have used Tri Starr Electric to maintain our rental properties in Bergen County for two years now. We have had nothing but positive experiences. We are always taken care of in a timely manner, and it puts our mind at ease to know the work they do is under warranty and that permits are filed appropriately. Brad and Neil are very pleasant and professional to deal with, and they always make sure we understand all of our options. We highly recommend them!

I contacted Tri Starr Electric, because I wanted a second opinion on my non-functional outdoor lamp post. Neil picked up the phone and spent 10 minutes listening to my problem and what the first electrician found out and proposed. Any contractor able to take a phone call for 10 minutes is incredible in and of itself. Neil asked some good questions and didn't want me to pay for a service call unnecessarily. While Neil confirmed some of the first electrician's findings, there were additional matters that the first electrician did not address.

I decided that it was worth paying them the service charge to have them thoroughly examine the situation. This was because the proposed solution from the first electrician was almost $1500 after tax, and I wasn't sure I wanted to spend that much to deal with the lamp post. (low voltage with transformer installed outside in an external outlet)

Brad and Juan came over to examine the situation. They wore shoe covers to enter the house and not get the floor unnecessarily dirty! They did similar examinations as the first electrician, testing line voltages and finding where the wires went. However, unlike the first electrician, Brad offered multiple solutions at different budget levels. Brad focused on the root problem of "how much outdoor lighting do you want?" instead of "how to fix this lamp post." Lastly, if we hired them to perform one of their solutions, Tri Starr was willing to discount the price of the solution by the cost of the service call, which I think is fair and appreciated.

EDIT: Brad submitted three proposals a full day later, all of which matched what he told us when he was on-site. The three proposals came in at different price ranges: an affordable solution that abandons the lamp post for a different lighting source, a modest low-voltage wireless switch solution, and the priciest line voltage solution. The price point of the line voltage solution was basically the same as the first electrician's low voltage solution, so Tri Starr offered a better solution for the same price.

We chose the low voltage solution. Brad texted me when he was arriving and arrived in the expected time window. Once here, he reviewed the work with me before starting. He suggested 3 options on where to place the transformer box and wiring with pros and cons to each. As before, he wore shoe covers for indoor work. For outdoor work, he carefully dug up the ground to lay the wire and minimized disturbing the soil. It took him about 5 hours to do the work, which was according to plan. After the work was done, he cleaned up the work site and provided a final review of the work including operation of the switches and the transformer box.

In conclusion, this business is very well run, offers great solutions for all budgets, and is meticulous with their work. I will definitely hire them for future electrical work.

Brad is amazing!! He is extremely knowledgeable and does phenomenal work! We have now used him for a number of electrical projects, including various repairs, adding outlets, installing lighting, exhaust fan systems, and upgrading our electrical panel. He even installed the necessary outlets for my pottery kilns, as well as the required 30 and 50 amp breakers. He is exceptionally patient and always takes the time to explain all the different options each time he comes to do electrical work for us. We are so glad we went with his design ideas and suggestions when we renovated our kitchen and bathroom. Our kitchen and countertop lighting is gorgeous thanks to him! He is also extremely efficient and neat. We’ve had previous electricians leave a mess after doing work here, but Brad always leaves everything spotless. I highly recommend him to all my friends and family! We’ve never found someone as honest and skilled as he is.

This is the second time we worked with Tri Starr. The second project was in a larger scale and it was costly. It is a business space and we had to replace over 30 Fluorescent lights to LED lights and we were also in a need of additional outlets. Tri Starr made sure to match the price with other quotes we received to make sure we are happy. Brad is truly amazing, he is extremely responsive, honest and communicates really well. I had a great experience with Brad!! We had him come to wire and hang fixtures throughout our new construction home in park ridge NJ, he did a beautiful job and was very professional and fast! I couldn’t recommend him and his team at tri star electric more !!!

Brad installed 2 bedroom fans and a hall light in our new home. I originally called another contact and was told they Brad would call back. I wasn’t too sure when I would get a call but Brad got the message and called within 15 minutes. We discussed the project and he asked great detailed questions that I hadn’t thought of. He then sent and invoice and came the next morning to complete the project. He even ran out to Home Depot to grab a cover since the previous fixture was larger and some of the hole would have been exposed. He even cleaned up after and took the fan boxes out to dispose of and just left us all the manuals an other info. Can’t say enough how pleased we were with his work and communication. Highly recommend!!!
