Reviews of local pros in Parlin, New Jersey

I had an emergency situation with downed power lines on the property resulting in power being shut off by PSE&G. ADK (Derek) managed to get a permit, fix the conduit and get the premises inspected all in 2 days. If you need electrical work, ADK is the place to contact!

Excellent service and very professional. Did a fabulous job , cleaned up after themselves and extremely polite and accommodating.Derek and his helper were very knowledgeable and paid strict attention to detail. I had a shower light placed and the light I bought was not as good as the one Derek had so he hooked me up.Thank you Derek. Owner Derek was fabulous!! I was recommended to ADK and I will recommend to all my friends and family.

My husband and I recently hired Derek from ADK Maintenance & Electrical Contracting LLC-
We are very pleased with the job Derek and his worker did at our home. They upgraded our Electrical Box and brought us up to code. They worked diligently for six hours and were the model of efficiency. We can't say enough about the honest, reliable, knowledgeable and respectful qualities they showed us. We will definitely recommend them to all our friends and family.

I recently hired Derek of ADK Maintenance & Electrical Contracting for some electrical work in my home, and I am absolutely thrilled with the service I received. From the start, Derek demonstrated a high level of expertise and knowledge, which immediately put my mind at ease.

He arrived on time, fully equipped, and ready to tackle the job. What impressed me the most was his honesty, attention to detail and commitment to safety. He meticulously assessed my electrical issue, explained the solutions clearly, and executed the repairs with precision.

Throughout the process, the Derek was courteous, professional, and respectful of my property. He even took the time to answer all of my questions and provided valuable tips.

The quality of his workmanship was exceptional, and I could tell that he takes great pride in what he does. I feel much more confident about the safety and reliability of my electrical setup now, thanks to Derek’s expertise.

I highly recommend this ADK Maintenance & Electrical Contracting to anyone in need of electrical services. Their professionalism, skill, and customer-oriented approach truly set them apart. I will definitely be calling on them for any future electrical needs. Thank you for a job well done!

Derek and his team were on time, professional and went the extra mile to ensure my EV charger was installed perfectly! The panel upgrade they did looks amazing. They encountered an issue I had and made sure it was properly fixed. I highly recommend ADK for your home ev charger. These guys are great!

I was referred to this company on fb and contacted them last minute for a same day service check. Spoke with Derek who was very nice, helpful and informative after I explained my issue I was having and he advised that he will be able to come to my home within hrs. Derek and his assistant arrived exactly on the time they provided which was a plus from the get go. They were both very professional but still friendly and explained in detail while they worked what they were doing and what needed to be fixed or replaced. They also was very kind and understanding towards my kids running up and down making lots of noise lol They got the job done and the pricing was very reasonable compared to these big retail companies. Will definitely recommend Derek and his company and will be using his services in the future. Thank you for your quick service and professionalism.

What I especially love about ADK and specifically Derek, is his attention to detail. ADK recently performed yearly maintenance on our whole-house generator and used the high-quality OEM parts so we can have peace of mind that our generator will run in case of a power failure. Derek and his worker cleaned down the interior of the equipment and they were true professionals in my mind. His price was super competitive.

This was probably the best experience I had with any contractor. Recently we had a stressful experience: A front porch light fixture exploded and started a fire (luckily, we put it out quickly). The fire did some damage to the house and knocked out electricity to the upstairs of the house. Later on when the Fire Marshall was here to inspect it, he told us we would need an electrician and recommended Derek/ADK who is from the area. I called and, luckily, he was able to come out right away.

When he arrived he removed the burnt, hanging light fixture, capped the exposed wires to make it safe, and restored the power to the upstairs of the house. He also offered to come back at no extra charge to install a new light fixture after we bought it. Which he did, and it looks and works great. Afterwards I asked if he could come back do an an inspection, make sure all the outlets and everything else is safe, no fire hazards, etc. Instead he showed me the tool I can get for just $20 bucks and how to do it myself

I highly recommend Derek and ADK Maintenance. Professional, Honest, Friendly, Knowledgeable, charged a very fair amount, and answered all my questions. I hope not to have any more electrical issues, but If I do, I'll be calling him back without hesitation

They did such a great job fixing up our house!! Came by almost immediately and gave it the time and care it needed as if it were his own place. Highly recommend!

This team did an excellent job upgrading our electrical panel. Highly recommend them for any job big or small. Great bunch of guys who do good work

Never ever have seen a humble person like Derik. There was power outage in our home, he made sure that work is done properly, went out of the way to reach JCPL and made sure that power is restored back. Highly recommend him.

We couldn't be happier with the work done by Derek. We had a whole house generator installed and the whole experience was flawless. Derek went above and beyond what he was contracted to do.When he saw that there were some old problems that needed addressing he just fixed it without adding on to the price. It's hard to find contractors like this! He was reliable , skilled and professional as was his employees. Simply a joy to work with!

Great service! Dennis and his brother are wonderful people and helped fixed all of our problems. They were efficient and the price of service was reasonable. I would definitely recommend!

Roberts, the man with the plan. Cable guy drilled into my breaker box and ultimately exploded and they had to replace the wire going from the meter into the breaker box. Robert showed up with his expert skills and knowledge and got the job done in a snap while working in the dark the entire time we couldn’t find the wire and he had so many contacts that he was able to go get a piece and then come back And get the job done the same day fair I should’ve paid more Actually.

Exceeded my expectations! I hired powered up services for my kitchen renovation and was impressed at the professionalism and quality of work. Robert is a pleasure to deal with and very transparent. Definitely recommend to everyone.

From the minute I called this company they were very welcoming on the phone. I had a big elecrtrical issue with the wiring of my house. The company that installed the electrical wires in my house were short circuting from my living room and my bedroom. I tried to figure out this problem myself at first but did not workout. I called other electric companies and were asking for too much some of my house. I was recommended from one of my freinds to this company. Rob and Dennis are very knowledgable in their profession and very good with finding the problems quick. The best part about this company is that they are very good people and get the job done the best way possible and for a good price.

This post is long overdue. I have worked with Rob for several years now for all of our electrical needs, both simple and complex. Each and every time, Rob gives his absolute best. No job is too big or too small for him! He is very meticulous and gets the job done right, first time, every time! With Rob handling all of our electrical needs, I know the safety of my family and I is never compromised! A real professional with the safety of his clients and their needs at the forefront of all that he does. I would give him and his company more than five stars without any hesitation! Truly first class and highly recommended!

Extremely rude and unprofessional.

Dennis is the best electrician EVER!!!!
