Landscaping reviews in Paterson, New Jersey

So today was my first time ever going there . I figured I support the small businesses . Once I walked in the owner kept his eyes on me , I was there to fill my garden and I was also recommended to go there . I was wearing my face mask due to the virus when I go to pay the owner gives me a speech about I’m his opinion I wasn’t wearing my mask to what he thought was acceptable , my face area that needs to be covered was covered , I thanked him for his advice but also informed him I have the freedom to keep it the way I had it on . He then decided to scream “not in my store “ I kindly left the order right there and said ok no problem .

No credit cards accepted. But the best plants, flowers and arrangements around. Fresh, they last forever. Good location and adequate parking.

Very good selection of plants and flowers, great prices. Service there is very good as well. Top garden/plant supply store in the area, I highly recommend it!

Inexpensive garden plants, friendly service. Worth to check out. For the price comparison. I was only able to get 3 small plant at home Depot , when you get a whole flat at Jim's garden.

I have been so happy with all the flowers from Jim's Garden Center. I recently got my mums and they look so vibrant and healthy. They have quality stuff and will provide you with any advice you will need to make and keep your garden looking beautiful. I enjoy sitting on my deck and looking at the beautiful flowers in the summer and now looking at my mums. Thank you !!

Found this place after browsing home depot's half dead and mediocre selection. Jim's flowers are all beautiful, and a huge selection of veggies and flowers at great prices. He takes care of his product, and even working long days he and the staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable. As a small business owner, I love to see places and people like this. It's right on the outskirt of Paterson so don't be concerned. Keep it up guys.

My go to for years. I go here first and never disappointed. Fresh grass seed by the pound rather that rotting in a plastic bag on some shelf somewhere

Adding to my previous review. Just went over there April 27, 2025.
Lots of beautiful plants, annuals, flowers, herbs. Got swiss chard, bok choy, Brandywine tomatoes, jalapenos (they always have a big selection), lettuces, winter savory, lemon verbena, basil, dill, parsley, etc. We'll go back for more annuals soon! They do have callaloo and ruda (rue) and Cuban oregano if you are looking for it. (Next year selection may be different but I think you can bet on most of this and also great herbs (both in small 6 packs and larger quart pots-- mint is always quart pots but who needs a six pack of mint? Right now they do have six packs of rosemary though.)

This is the primary plant source we buy from. Small but a good selection of annuals, flowers, vegetables & herbs. Plants are very healthy & thrive. They also do very pretty combination planters. Staff is friendly & helpful and knowledgeable.
Plant prices are excellent.
Cash only but they do have an ATM.

I WILL NEVER GO BACK.................I went to this establishment looking for a 🌲 tree for the holiday(On Christmas Eve) The worker pointed to five foot tree that he advised was $60.... A sudden change of mind, he said $35..... Went to bank due to not excepting Cash..... Come back said I don't need a big tree can I have this small one less than a Foot tall for $20. The owner was very nasty, Irate, and argumentive, and said no, take it or leave it.... I left it rode less than a mile down to Home Depot, purchased a Five foot tree for $15..... I love to support local brick and mortar shops, due to being a business owner myself. However, these days Customer service is declining. I would never treat anyone like this...... I will never go back to this place, and like I said while you the owner yelled on the top of your voice at me....

They are great! Very professional. Better than doing it ourselves. Sometimes because of weather conditions the weeds may come back a little bit, but on the whole, it gets most of them and our lawn looks good!!

They do a good job my lawn looks great and are very easy to work with when it comes to scheduling changes etc.

I have been a very satisfied customer for the past 5 years. Their service schedule has the ideal intervals compared to other providers I have used in the past. Staff are professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. My lawn has been in its best shape since we bought our house 30 years ago.

After having Harvest Lawn Care last year when my back yard grass was dried out like hay and because of their service this year my back yard grass is thick green amazing.

I have used yr service for years even when in Florida camping. Now home fulltime, pd year in advance and when you do service I asked they ring bell, if home, and explain what they did and if I need to water immdly. Very friendly and efficient technicians. Thankyou for good service

Harvest has fixed my lawn over the last three years. I used the other large company for years… Harvest transformed my lawn. I also use their tree and shrub service which has equal results.
