Service Master Metropolitan took the stress out of the situation. They cleaned, packed and coordinated where to store our things, as our home was being renovated. Their crew was on time, professional, kind and went above and beyond to handle things with care. I would absolutely use them again.

Last Dec 2021 I had a major flood at my home and I bought dehumidifiers/driers and cleaned up (a week of work), it took my insurance 2 months to send help because of the holidays. By then we had mold growing behind the walls, I know this because I had the house environmentally tested for mold/bacteria. My insurance company was supposed to start demo because mold was growing and we had a new baby so the mold was a major problem. Service Master Metropolitan was aware of the situation but insisted on dehumidifying an already dehumidified house, I was at work so by the time I was aware I told them to stop. I asked why aren’t you doing demo and they had no answer for me, their supervisor didn’t even want to talk to me and was very disrespectful.
After going through a devastating flood that did alot of damage which restoration isn’t even finished yet a year later the last thing I needed was crooks coming in and taking advantage of a very bad situation. I refused to pay and they threaten collection/lien, after speaking with my insurance they said to just pay it so I did.
Laws do not protect private people just companies so my hands were tied.
Go to Serve Pros, they were honest not like these crooks Service Master Metropolitan in Jersey.

Great service they came in and diagnosed the issue and immediately got to work. Customer service is A1 and great to work with. They are a contractor you can trust !

We recently had an appliance fail, causing significant water damage, and we called ServiceMaster Metropolitan for help. Steve and his team were incredibly professional and thorough throughout the entire process. From start to finish, Steve took the time to explain every step of the process, keeping us informed and reassured.

His crew was just as impressive, setting up the equipment with great care. The cables were neatly organized and out of the way, allowing the dehumidifiers and fans to do their job effectively while minimizing disruption to our daily routine. We greatly appreciated their attention to detail and their efforts to ensure the process was as smooth and non-intrusive as possible.

I highly recommend ServiceMaster Metropolitan for their excellent service and professionalism. They made a stressful situation much easier to handle.

I had a terrible experience with a water mitigation company who I will not name. They left the job incomplete and my basement stinking. There is much more but this review isn't about them. A pipe burst in my finished basement. 90% of my furnishings, my office and stored items were lost. I was alone and overwhelmed. Thankfully my insurance company recommended ServiceMaster Metropolitan. A very professional crew. From day one the man in charge came in and took over for me. Laui spoke to my insurance adjuster and explained everything. They basically took over until they repaired the damage the other company left. They handled everything with the insurance and Gabi helped me with the list of personal damaged items, Gabi was very patient in helping me get the list figured out, there were special items damaged. The clean up crew left everything spotless and when they came to pick up the drying machines, the crew leader Luis who had also done great work helped me remove other items, and move some things. Today all the measurements for wall installation were taken. I will probably use their service for installing the new flooring too. They do everything from water mitigation, home repair and have many choices for all types of flooring. Highly, highly recommend them.

These guys are AMAZING! I am 100% happy with how professional, quick, and helpful John and his team were. We had a flood in my basement studio. They showed up quickly to pack up all my stuff, store it, tear up the carpet, dry wall, and disinfect the studio. I HIGHLY recommend them. They were a pleasure to work with!

HORRIBLE QUALITY! DO NOT USE!!
The insurance company recommended this company for renovations to my kitchen from a bath leak.

EVERYTHING was a problem. The PM will talk to you and say so many wonderful things they will do and how great the company and contractor they use are. Then when only half of the things needed or discussed are in the contract, he expects you to sign it without reading anything. When you bring the any omissions to their attention, they tell you to sign anyway, and they will add it later. Really??

It took +2 months to 1st mitigate the "possibility" of mold (no mold seen, nor any pictures of mold exist) then actually complete the renovations. The quality was so terrible, and I made them redo so many things. They damaged my stainless-steel refrigerator with a HUGE dent in the front, then said that was existing and since I didn't have a picture to prove they did that they dismissed it completely. They show up on the wrong day and want you to leave work to let them in.

To just list a few of the worst issues:
In the demo they destroyed the flex gas line to the oven. When they reinstalled the oven, they discovered a gas leak. When you look at the flex line it has tool marks all over the area with the hole. They told me that was not covered, and I had to purchase one separately.
They never put any plastic up when cutting. The amounts of dust in the house were truly amazing. Repeatedly I asked for them to tarp off the rooms. My kids have asthma and were so triggered I had to have them stay elsewhere. The PM finally had them tarp, but they used the single cheapest plastic I have ever seen and left a 2-foot gap on top.
They installed the sink improperly and it had a gap between the counter and sink they filled it with 1/4" of silicone and said it was fine. Also, when they installed the sink on a Friday, they had the water turned back on and didn't connect the waste line until Monday.
The backsplash was tile and had so many issues it was ridiculous. WHO CUTS CERAMIC TILE WITH A DREMMEL CUTTING WHEEL AND NOT A WETSAW?! It was so jagged it could physically cut your hand.
The cabinets had pin holes and they did not want to align any cabinet doors; some could not open others could not close.

I finally got so fed up with their antics and wanted them to just leave. EVERYTHING was a problem. I have used them for so many years and they are an incredibly professional and trustworthy group.
