I had my flues cleaned and later had stainless steel liners installed in all three of my fireplaces. The team was always quick to respond and made sure all my requests were handled right away. We recently had an issue with our old chimney lining that led to concerns about carbon monoxide in our home. The team lined both our utility exhaust and fireplace flues with stainless steel pipes and also put in a new fireplace insert to make sure everything was up to current safety codes. Samuel and the crew did a thorough job, left everything clean, and the quality of their work was excellent. We are very happy with the chimney sweep service we received in Rumson and now feel much safer at home.

our old fireplace was about 20 years old and had stopped working. samuel came by to check it out and discovered that it couldn’t be fixed since there were no parts for it anymore. he explained what new fireplace options were available now, and we really liked some of the choices he suggested. when the old fireplace was removed, we found out it hadn’t been installed right and was actually pretty unsafe—it could have started a fire in the chimney. we are very happy with our new fireplace. samuel was very helpful with different options, materials, and ideas for the design. now with the new fireplace, our living room has a fresh look and feels much cozier. we definitely recommend bright star chimney cleaning for anyone needing chimney sweep or fireplace work.

Samuel and the team delivered some tough news about our chimney, but still managed to provide excellent service that deserves a 5-star review. During their inspection, they found several issues with our fireplace—mainly wear and tear and some shortcuts taken during installation in the past. They explained that the best fix would be a full replacement, which is a big investment, but their honesty and thoroughness made us feel confident in their recommendations. Samuel was extremely knowledgeable and walked us through all the problems and possible solutions step by step. I was initially unsure about spending around $600 for a chimney inspection, but after seeing their professionalism and the detailed report they gave us, I realized how valuable it was for the safety of our home and family. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be to make scheduling inspections a little easier. It took a couple of months to get our appointment, which made it difficult to fit into our home buying timeline. Even so, I appreciate that quality chimney inspections take time and experienced pros can be hard to find. Overall, I’m very happy with the service and will definitely call them again if I have any concerns with a chimney or fireplace in the future.

I plan to have them back soon to finish up repairs on both chimneys. Really excellent chimney sweep company!
