Reviews of local pros in Rumson, New Jersey

I recently hired Peninsula Construction for a project, and I couldn't be more impressed. They were punctual, professional, and extremely thorough from start to finish. The team was well-organized and kept everything running smoothly, ensuring that every detail was handled with care.

Their communication was excellent throughout the process, which gave me peace of mind knowing the job was in good hands. If you're looking for a reliable and efficient contractor, I highly recommend Peninsula Construction. I'll definitely be using them again for future projects!

Nick and his team did an exceptional job removing cabinets and countertops from one location in our new home and relocating them to another. They were fast, efficient, and delivered high quality work. The team took tremendous care in moving large cabinetry from the central floor to the basement, taking extra precautions to make sure the furniture, walls, and floors remained unscathed in the move—they delivered above expectations, and provide a level of care and quality I haven’t experienced elsewhere. I would highly recommend Nick and his team for all your construction needs.

We had a great experience with Nick and his team. We had an emergency and he responded quickly and did extra work to complete the project. We were very pleased.

We had an amazing experience with Peninsula Construction. They completely transformed our garage with beautiful epoxy flooring and freshly painted walls and lighting. Nick and team’s communication was excellent, and they paid close attention to every detail. The work was done with great care and quality. We couldn’t be happier and highly recommend them!

Had Peninsula Construction install an exhaust vent in my kitchen — they did a great job. The work was clean, professional, and done on time. Would definitely recommend them.

When my basement flooded Nick came right over immediately that day to help with mitigating the damage and helping us figure out next steps on a very stressful day. He worked with us from that day all the way till the end, rebuilding the basement back and better than it was before. I am slightly bias as a close friend of many years but Nick has now done several renovation projects for us and his fantastic work speaks for itself!

Working with Peninsula Construction was a piece of cake. They built me a beautiful deck. The work was very professional. I would recommend Peninsula Construction and Nick Frangipane to anyone looking for any kind of home improvement.

Peninsula Construction made our first home project so easy. Our bathroom renovation came out beautifully, and we couldn’t be happier. Nick and his team were so easy to work with and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking to do a home renovation project in Monmouth County!

I trusted Peninsula Construction with my build after a fire that completely destroyed my house. It was very complicated, as we had to deal with a variance, insurance, and a new septic and well that delayed the project. Nick and his team not only delivered what he promised: a beautiful new home, but they displayed more patience than I could have asked for. They worked with us on sourcing materials, went above and beyond managing the build, and their workers were professional and efficient. I recommend them to anyone who asks me about renovations.

Great job by peninsula construction and Nick Frangipane and his team in 2 total bathroom makeovers around the holidays. Just over 6 weeks in total to gut and renovate both bathrooms. His tile person did a beautiful job working with some complicated tile designs. Everyone one his team did a great job keeping things neat and clean. And our tile designer at Downtown tile, Cathy Skronski, was amazing in designing and providing high quality tiles.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Nick and his team to replace the hearth on our 100+ year old fireplace, and I am absolutely thrilled with the results. While the hearth itself wasn’t original to the home, the fireplace and surrounding brick are, and the team took great care to preserve and protect both the original brickwork and the hardwood floors throughout the entire process.

From the outset, communication was excellent. Nick was quick to respond to all questions, kept me informed at every step, and made sure I felt confident in the plan. He confirmed all necessary measurements before moving forward and even took the extra step of picking up the stone directly from the stone yard, which saved me time and ensured everything was ready for a smooth installation.

The workmanship is great and their respect for the historic character of the home really stood out. I couldn’t be happier with the finished result!

I highly recommend Peninsula and Nick for their professionalism, communication, and high-quality craftsmanship- I plan on using them again for other renovation projects in my home!

We did a full exterior renovation with new doors, windows, siding, roof and a large front porch with Peninsula Construction. Also new HVAC and a new master bathroom. Couldn’t be happier we chose to work with Nick. He’s honest and a great communicator. Took a huge amount of stress off our plates. Would recommend Peninsula for any project!

My experience with Peninsula Construction (Nick and his group) was the best! Nick is professional, knowledgeable and efficient. The work included complete renovation of Master Bathroom and partial renovation of another. I highly recommend his work

Kurt just finished a renovation on our home. A pleasure to work with from start to finish.

Kurt Connor Construction provides superior work at great prices. They are on time and on budget! They start early and work without stop until completion. They are extremely knowledgeable, courteous and are very clean and accommodating. Highly recommended!

Kurt is the best! Have been working with his company for over 10 years with remodeling of my house and other home ownership needs. I can send him a text regarding a question or advice regarding home maintenance and he is usually at my house that day. Can’t recommend him enough!

Kurt renovated our first floor- all new kitchen, new hardwood floors, moved walls etc and we could not have been happier. I am so thankful to him and his team for taking on our project and exceeding our expectations. We look forward to many more renos with him!!

As a realtor, I had the opportunity to sell a property built by Kurt Connor Construction—and the quality spoke for itself. The craftsmanship was impeccable, communication throughout the process was seamless, and working with Kurt was a true pleasure.

In today’s market, where value and presentation matter more than ever, his work not only stands out but elevates the homes and neighborhoods he builds in. Highly recommend!

Where do I start with Kurt! As far as contractors go you will never find a better one. Kurt came in and finished a bunch of jobs for me when I had to fire my previous 2 contractors. He then continued on to do my entire house. He is meticulous, never cuts corners, and his jobs always come out above and beyond perfect. He communicates extremely well, especially for a contractor. He shows up when he says he is going to show up, and if he can’t for some reason he will tell you why and get to you asap. He is honest and fair and a rarity in the contracting business. Highly highly recommend!!!
