Constraction reviews in Rutherford, New Jersey

A pleasure to work with! The team is full of reliable hardworking people. Communication was transparent and timely. We will 100% be contracting further services with them.

We bought a house that my friend aptly described as having "not a kitchen, but a room full of appliances." We had a few contractors come by and say they just didn't know what to do with the space. It was pretty concerning. But then we met Jim. He had a plan but was open to my ideas, which all came together in the form of an awesome kitchen. The whole thing took about two months, if I remember correctly. And not once, did the team not show up when they said they would. We had previous contractors work on other aspects of the home before we met Jim and every day was a roll of the dice as to whether they'd be there to work. We never had to worry about that with Jim and his team. We have an old house — and it's so comforting to know that we have a great team of people to call when the next thing breaks — whatever that may be. :) I would (and have) highly recommend Jim to anyone looking to have work done on their home.

J. Severino Construction is a family-owned company that truly values integrity and professionalism. Their work was done exactly as promised, on schedule, and with great care. I highly recommend them.

We hired J. Severino to construct our new front porch and complete some interior finishes. They were quick to give us quotes and schedule both projects. The entire team, particularly Eric, was incredibly responsive to all of our questions throughout, and were simply a joy to work with. The work itself was done professionally, with a high degree of diligence, and a strong attention to detail. We would highly recommend and will consider them for any future project.

Jim and Eric’s expertise in the construction process was evident throughout the project. They offered valuable suggestions and kept me informed every step of the way. They were also very respectful of my home, making sure to keep the mess contained and cleaning up thoroughly at the end of each day. Can’t wait for our next project! Thanks Jim and Eric!

We worked with the Severino's to finish our attic, add a half bath, and add a full primary bath on our second floor. It was our first major renovation project and Jim and Eric were great at walking us through all the steps in the process and offering useful advice. Their communication was excellent - checking in regularly, updating us on progress, always receptive to our questions. I found their team to be hard working, reliable, and respectful of our home. I also liked their subcontractors, they were generally friendly and approachable, happy to talk things through directly. In my opinion, it's attention to small details that takes reno work from good to great and they were so thoughtful about details and checked in with me if they thought I would want to weigh in. They also fixed a couple small things in our house that I never asked about, they just noticed and took care of it. We love how everything turned out, it's so beautiful and the whole process went really smoothly. So glad we found them!

Jim and his son do great work and offer fair and transparent pricing. They stuck to the schedule and the finish product turned out great. I would definitely work with them again.

We just finished a deck renovation with J.Severino Construction and couldn’t be happier with the process or the outcome. The quality of work, thorough communication, and general timeliness far exceeded any expectation we had. But most importantly, everyone on the crew was just lovely and kind (especially Jim and Eric). We definitely plan to work with them for future projects and would highly recommend them for yours as well.
