We started off looking for a contractor, just someone to come an do the work we wanted. Pay them, and go our separate ways. However, we walked out of this experience with Ribo, having made a trusted and respected family friend. We would recommend Ribo and Franco (the owner) to everyone we know.
The experience was outstanding for the following reasons:
1) Franco/Ribo Construction's workmanship is excellent.
- The team pays great attention to detail in all aspects. All the paint lines where the ceiling meets the wall were professionally done, and the lines were perfectly crisp.
- The tile work and wood floor installation was also done very well. Absolutely no squeaking on any of the floors where Ribo re-tiled.
- The bathroom tiles were also done perfectly, with all the tiles lining up, and well cut edges.
2) They go above and beyond to satisfy their customers:
- We bought a frameless shower door from Lowe's, but made an error in our measurements, so the door did not fit. I tried to return the door myself, but it wouldn't fit in my SUV. Franco volunteered to help us return the door at Lowe's!!! He had no obligation to do it, and he invested significant time and effort just to help us out.
- Additionally, his responsiveness is amazing. He returns your calls promptly (within a few hours), and returns your emails within 24 hours. It's also very simple to set up an in-person meeting with him.
3) Prices are fair

Ribo Construction is a caring and professional company. We are very satisfied with the remodeling of our kitchen. The owner Franco supervised every aspect of the project. We will definitely contract Ribo again for other home improvement projects.

Franco and his crew were on time, professional, and very polite. The work was second to none. To get such high quality at a very competitive price from true professionals, is a rare find indeed! All my future projects will be going through Ribo Construction.

After reading of the reviews from here and Angie’s list, I have to echo all those good words and feedback people gave to Ribo. They are the best I have ever experienced. Top quality, top customer service, top crew! Franko is so pleasant to work with. He always wants to make sure you are happy with the work and provides his professional opinion. Our previous contractor completely ruined our kitchen and Ribo came in and saved the day. They fixed all the issues and worked with us patiently until we feel satisfied. I asked them to do the renovation work for the rest of the house. I won’t go to anybody else for my future renovation work. They genuinely try to help you to have a nice home. A lot of other contractors we contacted before stopped responding to us once they felt the project is not big enough and there is not enough profit. However, Ribo gives small project and large project with same amount attention and provides same quality work. I will strongly recommend them to anybody who need to do renovation work in Bergen county.

Very reliable, prompt and efficient. We were on a tight schedule and they were very accommodating. They not only completed the job in a timely manner, but were very meticulous in their work from set up to clean up. Really no surprise Franco has 5 star rating. This is the best contractor I’ve worked with for home renovations. We all have horror stories working with contractors, whether they never get back to, or never send you a proposal, or even worse never get the work done.
Only great stories working with Franco. He calls you back, comes to look at the work. If he says you’ll have a proposal in a week, you get it. If he says he’ll start in a month, he starts. If he says they’ll be done in 2 months, they’re done. He supervises his guys and subs, he communicates with you so you know what’s going on. And, he does amazing work. I won’t even let another contractor near my house.

Franco and Ribo Construction do outstanding work. Franco has done many jobs on our house include a new bathroom, new roof, porch canopy, paint the exterior, among others. Ribo Construction was amazing. I called on Monday just to see if they could come to our new home and give us a quote, but they ended up painting our living room, dining room, entrance, and hall way all on that same day! Franco, the owner of Ribo really takes care of you as if you were family. He is so accommodating to your needs and makes sure things get done! The walls came out beautifully and couldn't be happier with the results! they also specialize in other things as well so I will definitely be calling them again for other projects i need help with in our new home!!

Wow - what a delight to find a home improvement/construction company that is responsive, reliable, and does great work! I cannot praise RIBO Construction highly enough. Franco's crew handled a basement restoration project after water damage & remediation was done. Sheetrock, tape & spackle in several areas, painting, lay down new flooring -- all done well, on time, and at an affordable price. Excellent value for the money here.

Franco and his team at Ribo remodeled our bathroom. We highly recommend them. They did the project within the time frame he originally said, at the budget he originally said. All of the work is beautiful, neat, and precise. Working in the space while we were still home, they took every precaution to ensure that no dust or debris got anywhere it shouldn't be. At the end of every day, when they left, the floors between the door and the workspace were always spotless. The final product is excellent. At every step of the way, Franco was responsive and communicative and helped to guide us through it and answered all our questions. When little things went wrong, as is inevitable, he immediately made them right. The whole team was extremely professional and positive and a pleasure to work with, and we are thrilled with our new bathroom.

This review is long overdue. Ribo did some work in my home around February 2020 and then Covid happened and everything else in life got put on the back burner. 1 year later they came back out to do another job and now here's the review for both times. Franco (the owner) is responsive, attentive and his workers are great. Last year when we had work done there was an issue with the outdoor lighting that was installed not working properly and he and his electrician came back out around 8:00 p.m. to make sure things got fixed. Turned out to be a manufacturer issue and had nothing to do with the install. There was another issue with a leaky pipe that I thought was damaged when they installed a new base board heater. Franco came out on a Sunday evening about 15 minutes after I called him to check it out. His guys came out the next morning opened the wall to check everything and again the problem was not from them but from a previous contractor that shot a nail into the pipe when he installed my mouldings. When Ribos guys were replacing the heater the pipe moved and the nail from 8 years earlier moved a bit and the leak started. Point is Franco goes above and beyond to do what's right to make sure his customer is happy. This year they came back out to do some painting, moulding work and also hung a barn door. We added a few things last minute to this job and he worked it in as of it was part of the plan all along.They had to open the wall and add a header so the barn door would be installed properly and you can't even tell there was any work done there. Their wall repair, spackling and painting is flawless and I would highly recommend them for any job big or small. I've had a few contractors do work in my house over the last 10+ years but have never had one of them come back for a 2nd job. Ribo Construction is the only one because the quality of their work, attention to detail and the fact that Franco actually follows up every day to make sure things went smooth that day. He cares about his business, his workers and his customers and that's what you should want in a contractor. Thank you Franco for always making the process easy and for the great work.

I have dealt with many contractors over the year. However, my recent experience with RIBO construction, and its owner, Frank, and his crew, is simply the best experience with contractors I have ever experienced.
1 - Promptness: From the very start, they responded promptly to my contacting them, actually within few hours from my initial phone call. Then Frank came for the 1st meeting within a day to see and get a feel of what I was looking for. The estimate was in my hands with a day.
2 - Value: concerning the value of RIBO's services: Amazing, fair, and exceptional value for what they delivered.
3 - Quality of work done: Absolute amazing quality. With Frank's supervision, his crew just delivered top-notch workmanship. Actually, Frank, the big boss, participated in many of the tasks, as well as delivered, personally, the materials needed from the stores.
4 - Schedule: Right on time, period. They just delivered what they promised with time to spare. The planned period for the project execution was fast, efficient. As an example of the high degree of RIBO's professionalism: RIBO accommodated my own scheduling needs.
6-Project add-ons: During the execution of the project, I asked RIBO for some add-ons. They agreed without adding to the project execution time. They just fit the add-on work within the original scope. As above, the value and quality of the add-ons were as fantastic as the overall performance.
7-Professionalism: Frank and his crew were the utmost professionals. Not only they delivered an amazing quality of work, they also were friendly, respectful, helpful, and went far and beyond in every form and fashion.

I can't recommend RIBO more enthusiastically to other owners who are looking for contracting work. Trust me: you will be happy to hire RIBO and deal with Frank, the owner.

8 stars and counting. 18 months after job completion, Franco, owner of Ribo, came same day and his men replaced damaged Sheetrock, sparkled , bought and painted basement. Water ran down and ruined lower floor wall. My 60 year old radiator was moved during original construction and it expanded and leaked. Was NOT Ribos fault nor did they have to make it their problem. Integrity and honesty certainly describe this gentleman, who took it upon himself to FIX EVERYTHING WITHOUT EVEN DISCUSSING PAYMENT OR RESPONSIBILITY. if the world had more men of such fine character what a perfect place it would be. If you are doing major construction, replacing a bathroom, kitchen or even a floor you need to call today. Remember, men with fine values are a rarity.

Negotiations were realistic and not hustling.
Ideas that we didn’t have were made by RIBO which were exactly what we needed.
This included a fiberglass door plus an awning which earlier contractors were hustling and far more expensive.
Without a doubt. WE WOULD GLADLY ASK RIBO TO DO THINGS WE COULDN’T.

Franco & team are super professional. They arrive on time, they work "super clean" and they stay on budget. Over the last 5 years, Ribo has completed a variety of projects for our family including a new baseboards/crown molding, reconfiguring walls, painting, new master bath, etc. Most importantly, Franco steps up when it counts. We got water in our basement after an unusually large rainfall. Once the basement dried out, Franco & team quickly stepped into action to replace the damaged drywall & flooring. Franco suggested a variety of products that would help us avoid similar damage in the future. Finally, we recently purchased a house down the shore & Franco + team commuted for 7 days to help get the place ready for the upcoming summer season. While we could have a found local contractor, we wanted the job done quickly & professionally - the place looks amazing! 10 out 10, 5 stars, A+!

I cannot rave enough about Franco and his team! As a first time homeowner, I was really anxious when I decided to do some work to my home. I originally hired Ribo Construction to do gut renovations to both the master and guest bathrooms and to redo the kitchen floors. However, as we progressed with these projects, I was so happy with their work that I ended up adding a few more items to the list. They are the epitome of professionalism. They’re polite, timely, detail oriented and most importantly, they are trustworthy and have been extremely respectful of my home, always leaving the workspace organized and clean at the of each work day. They are always dependable and responsive, quick to follow up on anything that I have asked or requested. Franco has been an outstanding contractor who has managed every aspect of the renovation efficiently from permits through completion. He’s personable, very honest, thorough, organized and patient. I never felt rushed or pressured when I had my bouts of indecision and I always felt like I could trust his word. In fact, Franco was very helpful with suggesting design options and reputable vendors for the stone, tile, shower doors, etc. He’s also excellent at communicating, updating me often throughout the day and checking in daily to see if I had any questions or concerns. He always made time to accommodate my work schedule if we had to meet to discuss anything in person. He has gone above and beyond, completely setting my mind at ease throughout the whole process. What could have easily been a very stressful experience ended up being fun and enjoyable all because of Ribo. Everything that Franco and his team have done at my home is far more beautiful than I could ever imagine or wish for.
