Please stay away. Very irresponsible, tells you he is coming and keeps you tied up and then doesn’t show up. Had multiple bad experiences. Honestly, please stay away.

The owner is a con man. He takes the payment in cash or cheque (not credit card). Then he promises to come the next day to do the repair and then never shows up.

AC stopped working after power surge. Mike came about an hour after I called as I have small children. This was after work hours! Reliable and got the job done quick.

I want to express my feeling about General Mechanical Service of NJ and the level of professionalism. When I first met Michael, owner of General Mechanical Services, I knew I was in good hands. Being in the business with facilities maintenance, I am very detailed person when it comes to working with vendors. I needed to replace my central heating and air condition unit. Micheal asked all the right questions. Then, we reviewed all of our options including discussing pros and cons of models and manufacturers.

Within a couple days I was emailed an expertly detailed quote. There was no hidden costs and he advised me, as the home owner, what I was responsible for. He provided all the paperwork to properly fill out the warranty. Installation was also executed in a timely manner.

I would recommend General Mechanical for their expert customer care, attention to detail, and seamless service.

So grateful for Mike's service on the coldest day of the year (8 degrees!). My furnace broke and the house was 58 degrees. Mike responded immediately and fixed the issue in 15 minutes! My daughter and I are so thankful for his expertise and professionalism. Highly recommend Mike and his company. Thank you!

This company is part of Choice Home Warranty.
This company made my plumbing issues worse. He wanted to enlist his friend who has no connection with choice home warranty to do the work of cutting out my all to get to the pipes after he danaged the pipes.
I would have been responsible to pay this other company for cutting the wall. He wanted me to lie to Choice Home Warranty stating that he never came to the home so his friend could cut the wall and he would have come back out to fix a problem he caused....genius right? Only thing is that i can smell a scammer a mile away. I had another plumber come and noticed that my overflow gasket was missing and when they cut into my ceiling guess what they found...the over flow gasket..general contractor said nothing he just left ...i am so happy that Flawless Sewer Company came out to rectify this issue all though it will take a few more days to rectify the problem but a professional from Flawless definitely saw that General Contractors did damage! Never ever ever ever would i recommend this company.

I am grateful for Mike because he came through in a time of need. I am apart of a church and our AC Unit was not working at all and we had a major event that was going to take place. Also some of our toilets were not flushing as well, the enemy was trying to do his work. But I thank God for Mike because he came immediately troubleshooted the toilets, the AC was not repairable due how old the system was. But he tried extensively to troubleshoot the issue and offered alternative solutions that was helpful. He left his area very clean and he kept our spirits high with his sense of humor and professionalism. I highly recommend this company.

Mike came and did an excellent work in the hour of need, he is true professional and knows his work thoroughly. Through my Home Warranty Coverage, Mike was assigned the job to fix my Sump Pump which pretty much burnt itself last month due to overwork during heavy rains and older age. Mike patiently explained me the contract structure that I have with my Home Warranty Company and according to the code replaced my Sump Pump with the brand which has a 2 year warranty, in addition he gave me tips on maintaining the Sump Pump area. I would certainly recommend Mike's company for HVAC related work!

Very bad experience with this guy and he kept stalling the fix for more than two weeks. He keep saying he is busy and doesn’t provide diagnosis to choice home warranty and cons me saying he is trying to get a good replacement part but doesn’t do it. Was stuck with him for more than two weeks during my home sale and missed many showings and also had to extend the closing because of this guy meanwhile paying hefty Monthly premiums

Mike is busy as expected for any HVAC SME during this summer season but he will come and fix your AC and charge reasonable price. Be patient and he will do a great job. I know Mike for over ten years and he knows HVAC and all the brands.

Mike is very poor in communication and a liar outright. He will commit to timeslots and fail to show up, and you are stuck!

My tenant had a very bad experience with Mike. We called Mike to fix a blocked Kitchen sink, and he didn't show up after multiple appointments and it was blocked for few days, and all messed up.

Finally we called another plumber to resolve the issue.

You should ignore Mike!

Mike has not completed the work. He has continued to stall and failed to update. Home warranty company has contacted him several times. I do not believe he is that busy and if he is he will not be for long if people read the honest reviews on this company.

Mike of General Mechanical Services came to our home on a Choice Home Warranty service call for our AC unit not blowing cold air after a different service provider was unable to complete the work that needed to be done. He was able to get our AC up and running and cold again while taking strain off of the condenser unit. He fulfilled the obligation with Choice Home Warranty and we are very pleased with his service. We also chose to have our condenser coil cleaned which Mike recommended (an additional cost, but we understood that) and are also extremely pleased with the additional work that was also performed. He does clean work, knows his stuff, and comes through even where others were unable to fix a problem. He will be helping our family for years to come, thank you very much Mike!

I was very impressed and satisfied with Mike's experience when he worked on my boiler, which he replaced my automatic water feeder and rearranged the water pipes for future work that will be needed. Mike also help me locate a hairline crack on my radiator. He met expectations and he will definitely get rehired from me to work on my boiler. This is not a choice warranty job, which is completely different from his boiler work.

Great price and excellent service. I am glad to have switched to mini split heat/cool system but best decision to meet my needs. I definitely recommend to any of friends or personal looking to switch to mini split system . I look forward in working again with you.
