Reviews of local pros in South Hackensack, New Jersey

My experience with the Approved Chimney team was grade A, and I will 100% recommend to family and friends. I would like to thank Jeff for being able to work with me and my budget. As well as George and Carlos for their professionalism in the work performed. They did a fantastic job along with taking the time to explain work performed and best practice for maintaining our chimney system.

Very happy with the service they provided on my three fireplaces. The men were professionals, answered any questions I had (women here) with straight up answers where I wasn’t confused. They covered all areas of their work areas and left it so clean as if they weren’t even there! I would for sure give them a shout out to anyone that needs work on their utility chimneys and fireplace chimneys. shout out to the four guys that worked on my home you did awesome and you’re all assets to the company!

It was very easy to deal with Approved Chimney from my first contact. Jeff responded quickly and provided a thorough explanation of what needed to be done as well as a detailed estimate. George showed up to do the job as scheduled. He replaced the damper quickly and cleaned up afterward. I would definitely recommend Approved Chimney.

Jorge and his partner did a great job. Neat and clean.

I had extensive work done to my chimney and Approved Chimney crew were true professionals. Experts, respectful and effective. I trusted them completely through each stage. Highly highly recommend them

Absolute Pros! Approachable, honest and accommodating. Expertise is obvious and advised repairs and pricing is beyond reasonable. Their work is tidy and swift. Staff is amazingly friendly and knowledgeable. You'll have absolutely no regrets.

These guys came to my house to correct work not done properly by the previous all jersey masonry & waterproofing company. They took their time and worked flawlessly to tear down and rebuild the flue chimney. I would highly recommend this company to get the job done right the first time.

The technicians were prompt, friendly and professional. They did an excellent job! I highly recommend Approved Chimney!

From this company performed a chimney cleaning and chimney cap installation, yet the job was sloppy. The chimney cap installation has gaps and the chimney cleaning left visible residue on the flue. The cleaning cost on the invoice didn’t make sense compared to their quote. They suggested additional chimney repair but didn’t explain why or provide photos. I’m seeking another company to redo the job. If you decide to use this chimney service, get everything in writing and inspect the work.

Approved Chimney did an amazing job. We had four estimates before them, and as soon as Jeff came in we knew that this company was the one. He explained clearly what was needed (we knew something about flues by that point!) and gave us an estimate with options. Communications were excellent. The crew was efficient and kept the work area clean. If you need any chimney work done, look no further! You won't be disappointed!

I have a realy old house in Alpine and our chimney was not in good condition, I was looking for chimney solutions and Approved Chimney come up to screen and gave them a call, Lim was really helpful and expert on his job. He visited my place and gave me a bunch of solutions and he was really clear and knowledgeable so I decided to work with them, His team did really great job! He was very responsive and helpful on every process of work.

I definitely recommend them!
Fair price, Good service, amazing work!

Wow, wow, wow!!! Can't say enough good things about Approved Chimney!!! I needed a new chimney liner installed because of a cracked flue to comply with code. I had many chimney people come to look at the job, but from start to finish, Approved Chimney was a standout. Dealing with Approved Chimney was impeccable. Hands down, they are a top-notch chimney company, no joke!!!!! Professional and friendly, down-to-earth, people that not only know their business but there is no job too big or too small, and they can handle it all. I feel so blessed that God has brought me the right company. It's a guaranteed job well done and they won't clean out your wallet. I highly recommend Approved Chimney. I am a very satisfied customer and a fan of Lim (& Dino); special thanks and shout out to Jorge and Carlos, who successfully completed my difficult job!!!!! Thank you so much, Approved Chimney and company, I am now one among your many hundreds of fans!!!

Just what you want: They arrived when they said they would all 3 visits (to estimate, take detailed measurements, and do it), were pleasant and very easy to work with, and did the job well.

This is an excellent company to work with. We are very impressed with the service that has been provided. Extremely timely and professional.

I recently hired Approved Chimney to install a chimney in my home, and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience. From start to finish, they exceeded my expectations in every aspect.

First and foremost, the quality of their work is outstanding. The chimney they installed is not only functional but also beautifully crafted, adding an elegant touch to my home. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship truly shine through and it was acknowledged by the Town Inspector in three separate occasions.

Furthermore, the pricing was fair and competitive. They provided a transparent and comprehensive quote upfront, with no hidden fees or surprises. It was clear that they value their customers and strive for honesty and fairness in their pricing.

The service provided by Approved Chimney was exceptional. The team was professional, punctual, and respectful of my property. They completed the installation within the agreed-upon timeframe, leaving no mess behind. Their commitment to customer satisfaction was evident throughout the entire process.

Overall, I highly recommend Approved Chimney for any chimney services. Their quality workmanship, fair pricing, and top-notch service make them a standout choice. I am extremely satisfied with their work.

I am very impressed. I had someone else clean my chimney and inspect it. The cleaning was so so and the inspection did show the need for repairs. Being in a sister industry I knew that their repair quote was out of line, in fact approximately 3X out of line. Searched google and found approved chimney. Called to get a quote and someone was here within a few hours. Today the crew showed up to do the work. They were very punctual, professional and polite. They are wrapping up the work right now and I'm very pleased. Not only does it appear that everything was done perfectly, they are thoroughly cleaning after themselves. You can see by how well they clean and maintain their equipment that they are true professionals.

I've never left a google review before, because no one has ever impressed me to this level, but 5 stars is not enough. If I could give more I would.

We have an older home and had some serious chimney issues and this company was wonderful. All the workers were knowledgeable and kind. Respectful of out home and took the time to go over everything when they were done. They cleaned up and left us no trash and worked with our financial circumstance. Thank you Vic for all your help. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for chimney work. They tend to be very busy so book early!

From my 1st phone call to Jeff, to the installation with George and Lim, it was a pleasure to do business with this company. Every step of the way, even when problems came up, George and Lim handled it so nicely and professionally. I whole heartedly recommend them. Thank you, thank you for a great job!

Approved Chimney was the perfect contractor. Quote was back to me in one day. After approval they scheduled the job, sent reminders and showed up on time.
Chimney work was done (liner and PCR cleaning) quickly and they were cautious about keeping the area clean.
the forman and his assistant were professional and explained everything they did.
I would highly recommend them for any chimney work.

Work was done quickly and efficiently. The crew was friendly, polite and very good at what they do. Everything was cleaned up as soon as the job was finished. I would recommend Approved Chimney to anyone who needs a chimney liner.

The team at Approved Chimney is first class in their communication, timeliness and execution. Our family recently moved into an early 20th century home in Maplewood. The chimney did not have a liner, our gas exhaust line for our hot water heater was undersized, and our fireplace needed deep cleaning. Within one week all the work was diagnosed, quoted, permitted and completed! I would recommend Approved Chimney for any chimney related services you may have 10/10 times!
