Overcharged us by $10,000 on an old leftover pool shell. Red flag 1. Promised plans for months, red flag 2. They trooped various trades and their own people through the yard on multiple occasions over weeks Red flag 3. The plumber quoting wanted to be on his boat, the electrician knew his stuff but was new to them red flag 4 - no stable pros or none with a relationship. Pool arrived late and the truck rammed our driveway both ways when other options existed -evwn though we tipped all deliver people. Red flag 5. The John deere loader sat in our backyard for weeks until we threatened to call police. Two attempts for pickup neither of which we were told about and they were too busy to answer phone, actual text reply. Red flag 6 to 8 and reqyired inally delivered plans that quote 80k for most basic install no automation no patio and we had to tell them gas heater is overkill. . they would only fix driveway damage if wesigned. Other companies charge less than 20n for shell and pump, filter and all equipment.

Just want to write a short note about the incredible character of Monello Landscape Industries. A few weeks ago one of their drivers accidently hit my car and broke the driver's side mirror. The driver left a note apologizing and directed me to call the office to inquire about reimbursement. I called a day later and they were already aware of the incident and told me to get an estimate for repair and that they would pay it in full. I was able to replace the mirror myself, sent them the invoices and they sent me a check. Never during this process did they make me feel any less than a valued contact. Truly extraordinary. If you're looking for a landscaper of integrity and character, call Monello, you'll be making the best decision.

I am never one to write a bad review but I have never had such a bad experience with a landscaping company in my life. They have a contract with Lakeside Community in North Haledon and are consistently thoughtless about conducting their work at early hours that violate local ordinances-, waking everyone in the community up for their own convenience. It is beyond unreasonable.

Twice this week they salted walkways and driveways that were completely clear already between 3 and 3:45 AM. with deafeningly loud plow vehicles. Woke me out of a dead sleep and gave me chest pain that lasted for a few hours after being startled. This is the third time it has happened in a few weeks and I was forced to call the police to ask they be removed, I am filing a formal complaint on Monday..

I also suspect one of their works stole my very expensive engagement ring by taking keys that had been left under my mat for the cleaning people. It was taken on the day Monello was parked right in front of my house. The police did an inadequate investigation but it is the most reasonable theory.

Brian a site manager came out he was professional and knowledgeable. He was able to give a multitude of options and was very prompt with his responses. The work was done quickly and cleanly. Loved the price too! Will use again in the future.

Monello Landscape overdelivered - completing the job on time and exceeding our visual expectations.

Our local elementary school needed an overhaul of its courtyard space. As we were using funds raised via donations and the job was for a public space, we needed to contract someone who would be cost conscious while providing a beautiful finished product.
We used Monello for design, hardscape, and landscape needs. Each specialized team (from Jarrett to Will & co; and Andres and Emilio and their teams) was excellent, and the oversight by Brian, Pat, and our main point, Dave, was helpful to keep all on track. Their work will benefit the community for years to come!

Every phase of our landscaping and maintenance works has been taken care with the utmost professionalism and respect by this company for several years. It started as an idea and after being referred to Joe Monello and his Team, the idea has become a reality. We just completed the Design Phase and OMG the experience has been amazing. Joe recommended a virtual design of our ideas for the front yard and after a few fun meetings, the team put together an amazing 3D picture of our home and landscape design that went above & beyond what we imagined. This design phase and this team is a no-brainer for any landscaping work before doing anything else. We are overly excited and cannot wait for construction to begin. Thank you Monello Family & Team!

Joe and his crew are great to work with. Very professional in all they did for us from meeting on time, to proposal, to the actual work. All the work was exception and had very skilled crews doing each aspect from pavers, to lighting to plantings. At the end of each day his crews cleaned up everything and arrived the next day ready to start work. Highly recommended to anyone looking for personal attention with great quality workmanship.

We just had some landscaping done and the entire process was awesome. Brian came and took a look at what we wanted to do. He gave us better ideas and the outcome came out beautiful. I am very pleased with the way Monello has handled my property. I not only have them take care of my lawn and leaves, but this year I had 20 Arborvitaes installed in my yard. The job was done quickly, neatly and with great efficiency and minimal disruption. When one of the trees did not survive, it was quickly replaced. The fellow that I dealt with at Monello, Chris Fairchild, deserves much credit. He was attentive, polite and knowledgeable. I would certainly recommend Monello to others.

Don't know where to begin but one statement sums it up... Monello Landscaping is professionalism to the core.  We were looking for a company to design our landscaping in the front and back of the house.  Then we found Monello and it was a breath of fresh air.  We went into the initial meeting and felt very comfortable and like part of the family.  They were answering questions and giving their input without even having our business yet.... The owner Joe definitely leads by example, being so friendly and informative himself.  The whole staff was very attentive and helpful throughout the whole process.   However Dan and Jarret were on a whole different level.  We had difficulties choosing the concepts and direction we wanted to go in.  Both of them were very patient, attentive, and extremely helpful in guiding us to get the project where we finally were extremely happy with.  I would highly recommend them to anyone.

We contracted with Joe and his team to design a backyard patio that includes a outdoor kitchen, fire pit and TV seating area. From the start we could tell we had the right company for the job!

After initially meeting with Joe we started the design process with Jarret who asked the right questions that were thoughtful and made sure we considered every option. After several weeks we agreed on a final design which is simply perfect and beautiful.

We hired Monello because they have a reputation for doing some of the finest landscaping in the area. As inexperienced homeowners, we needed some help beautifying our grounds. As we all know in the middle of the pandemic we all became inspired to renovate, start new projects, and invest in our homes. When we inquired with Monello about a backyard project my husband and I had been discussing since we purchased our home, Joe found time the same day to see us (on a Saturday afternoon nonetheless!).

Our yard is complex - we have a lot of bedrock with a property that slopes down. Joe, Andres, Jarrett and Dan worked tirelessly listening to what we really wanted and brainstorming on how to be most cost effective while doing it right and how best to phase the project over a multi year period. The foreman, Pat, even came out to scope the project and ensure what we wanted was going to work. We went through multiple iterations before saying this was it! Joe and his team never pressured us once. They are extremely thoughtful and very responsive answering all of our questions and concerns while keeping us up to date every step of the way!
