This was the second company we called after getting a $5K quote from another company to fix our irrigation system. Less than two hours of work and $300 later, our system is working fine. Thanks Penguin, for not trying to sell us something we don't need right now! And, thanks for your excellent problem solving staff! Francisco was quick, effecient and effective!

100% satisfied with the service. My home's irrigation system system suffered a failure with a leak that caused low water pressure. Replacement of the 3 zone manifold resulted a giant increase in water pressure in the whole system. Quality repair and workmanship was done. Would RECOMMEND and use Penguin ABQ services again.

I am very impressed with Penguin ABQ. We had a significant leak in our sprinkler system. The technician named Francisco was very efficient and worked quickly. He found the damaged part underground and repaired it very quickly. He also replaced and adjusted another sprinkler head that was spraying onto the side walk. The price was very reasonable. In short I highly recommend Penguin ABQ to anyone needing maintenance on their irrigation system.

Even though they were booked up, when I explained that it was time sensitive, they worked me in next day. We thought the system needed parts and repair. The technician found that the control box needed adjusting. He could have done unneeded repairs and charged us, and we would never have known the difference; but he did not. Chose Penguin partly for their reviews and recommendation from a friend, for irrigation repair. Partial repair was done, paid for, and remaining work still needed was supposed to be completed within the following couple of days but no one came back to complete even though I was assured of it. Had to find another company to complete the the job.

I am very happy with the work this business does. The gentlemen arrived promptly and completed the work in good time. They removed a dead tree from my front yard and completed wedged the stump out of the ground. When they were done it was as if the tree was never there.

They pulled out some dead tomato plants and neatly lined up the frames next to the shed. Another tree on my property dropped huge leaves after the snow last week and they cleaned it up beautifully.

I plan to hire them again for my next yard maintenance project. I would recommend them for large jobs as well as regular maintenance.

I had been having issues with my sprinklers not popping up and was out looking for companies to get quotes and found Penguin ABQ. They came out, went over the system and asked if they could make some preliminary changes to the heads to rule out pressure issues with the valves. After making those changes, the sprinklers popped up perfectly. They went over water time changes due to the new heads to ensure that enough water is provided to my newly seeded lawn. They also replaced the 'guts' to my anti-siphon valve as it is a much older system and I ran out of replacement parts. Based on a quote from another company, Penguin ABQ saved me over $1,400 and everything they did was completed in under an hour. I highly recommend them and they are now my GoTo folks for irrigation issues.

I have a very large property, mix of lawn and a small orchard. My first year I selected Penguin to install an irrigation system for the entire property. I think it’s 18 zones over 1.3 acres. Francisco did an amazing job and Claudia was always available when I needed to discuss a change. What a great experience. Since then I’ve had them out to replace the rock around the perimeter of my house along with new irrigation line and fabric. Just had Francisco out to dig a 25 yard trench for some additional line to flood my trees. Knocked it out in a bit over an hour. I could not be happier with the work and the value. Francisco is one of the hardest working nicest people I have ever met. I’ve had a lot of experience with landscaping companies and I highly recommend Penguin.

Penguin was able to get me an estimate without even sending anyone out to our property, which was a huge plus during quarantine. Their prices were extremely reasonable. The work was done quickly, perfectly, and with a great deal of care and professionalism. Everyone was really careful to make sure things were done exactly to our specifications. Chris in the office was wonderful to speak to and really went above and beyond. Highly recommended!

The guys who do the actual work on my property are courteous, friendly and thorough, and thoughtfully do some little tasks not normally expected of yard maintenance workers (such as occasionally bringing my trash dumpsters in from the curb on trash pickup days). My yard looks great after they've been here! The sprinkler technicians do a great job repairing and adjusting my watering system every spring and keeping it tuned up during the growing season. I especially appreciate the personal touch, genuine caring and excellent communication I experience from Chris in the office. I've found over the years that inadequate communication creates many misunderstandings and makes small problems into big ones. I appreciate that I haven't had that experience with Penguin ABQ. I have and will continue to recommend Penguin ABQ to others as the opportunity arises.

Penguin ABQ was hired to replace grass killed by pre-emergent overspray, which kills down to the roots, so the topsoil had to be replaced as well.  They sent a foreman to measure and inspect the situation, after which they provided a quote within 24 hours.  They had me scheduled within 10 days, had to reschedule due to weather and arrived the next morning.  They were quick and meticulous about the dead grass and topsoil needing to be replaced.  They were quiet and cleaned up everything afterwards.  Although the fescue sod doesn't match my old Kentucky Bluegrass, it will eventually blend and look ok.  I look forward to calling them the next time I need any landscaping or irrigation work done.

For years I had full lawnto enjoy, it had a weed or two but I kept them pulled. Decided to take a chance on the Lawn Doctor thinking my lawn would be over the top. It's been a big disappointment. I still have the weeds but most the grass is dead. Pictures will follow.

By the end of last summer, my lawn was overtaken by spurge weeds! In November, the Lawn Doctor saved my lawn with some kind of spray and this spring the lawn has come back the best it’s ever been in the last 35 years. At the end of March, I had them aerate & fertilize my lawn which will soon get me back to just watering & mowing. I was convinced that my lawn was gone, but the doctor’s crews definitely saved me from replacing it with an expensive synthetic putting green.

I deliberately waited to provide this review because in February I also had them apply a pre-emergent weed spray on my front yard which is 100% landscaped with various types of gravel. And now I can report a second miracle, because I still don’t see a single green weed! My back feels so great that this year, and from now on, there will be no more back-breaking weeding sessions.

What was I thinking all these years? If you don’t call the Lawn Doctor, you only have yourself to blame for unnecessary work.

What else can I say: “Now I have 2 favorite doctors (my primary care physician and the Lawn Doctor)!!”

I love the weed spray prevention, it lasts all year. We have utilized many services, lawn care, mosquito spray, (not a one in sight for yard party) tree and bush treatments. They are always professional and highly recommend them.
