John built a custom sunken patio from reclaimed stone that is incredible. He took my initial concept and created a professional design. The quality of the work is exceptional. The workmen were professional in every way.

I had these folks design and install landscaping after having a pool installed, what a great company to deal with. Contractors are always the worst to deal with, seldom have I had a good experience. John and Sean are a different breed though, very professional and highly skilled to say the least. They showed up when they said they would, their work was precise and well-thought out. Don't look any further if you need hardscape patios or a landscape install done, I can't recommend enough!

I had a very poor experience with this company on all levels. The quality of product was poor, the company's work ethic and craftsmanship was so disappointing. They seemed to just want to drop the stones in as fast as possible and go, rather than ensuring that they take pride in doing a quality job. They don't seem to know what a quality job is. The owner, John Mallia's employees, are disrespectful to the customer as they work. I have much experience hiring companies to do a variety of repairs and installations at my home. I have NEVER had a negative experience, or poor quality work, until encountering J & L Landscaping. Also, way overpriced.

John and his crew do the BEST work in western NY. We hired him from reputation and we were more than impressed with the entire experience. We put in a pool last summer and it became a much bigger project that included 1300 square feet of banas stone, a fire pit, an outdoor kitchen with an island and grill, stone walls and stone covering the lower half of the building. It looks AMAZING. Not to mention the style of the landscape was exactly what we were looking for. Very natural but the perfect blend of colors and textures. Many people have told us that our backyard is nicer than most resorts. I watched this project progress everyday. The foundations laid, the coordination and planning, and the final product is incredible. I have since hired him back for some other projects on my property. They know EXACTLY what they are doing. Great crew!!!
