I discovered our washer was leaking huge amounts of water so I called a different company out a week prior, and not only was that company nearly 2 hours late, but completely ignored the fact that I called because the washer was leaking, and instead tried to tell me that I broke the latch by either "slamming or forcing open the lid!" That guy was "checking" the washer for all of 5 minutes, told me he was going to have to order a new locking/latch assembly, took my payment for the service call and left. Although I felt fine paying him to just go and not make the problem worse! Then I called Stark Appliance Repair. Michael was on time, extremely knowledgeable and diagnosed the issue very quickly! Not only was the latch/lid not broken, but the washer itself wasn't leaking. Michael kept investigating and was able to let me know that the pump in the basement was actually the culprit. Thank you so much for going beyond the washer and getting to the root of the problem! Will definitely call again if I have future appliance issues.

Ice maker and refrigerator thawed and shut down. Called Stark and spoke with Mike who responded promptly. Problem solved in a timely manner.and everything working perfectly.

Michael answered my call on Saturday morning and by Monday morning the part to fix my washing machine was ordered, received and installed! He was reliable and super knowledgable!!! I hope to not have another reason to call him (lol) but if I do, I will!!!!

Tony, I mean Mike, Stark was a superhero fixing our leaky refrigerator. He was outstanding. He spent time educating us on the care of our other appliances and even did a mini repair on our washing machine. Highly recommend!!!

I would like to thank Michael of Stark for his professional prompt service. Prior to coming into contact with Michael I was given referrals to 5 other appliance repair companies. Either the calls weren't returned or I was advised they would be back in touch shortly despite being told my refrigerator wasn't stay cold and I had just food shopped for Easter, if they couldn't assist within 2 days I needed to move on. Thank goodness I didn't hang my hat on them because return calls were never received. Some of these companies advised they do not have evening hours or work past 4 pm. In any event these failed companies led me to Michael. He picked up his phone the first rime I called asked me questions and was able to diagnose my issue over the phone. Within 24 hours he Checked if he had the part was in stock which he did, and by 11 am the next morning my refrigerator was fixed and up and running. He also looked at all my other appliances and educated me on dos and donts. Needless to say Michael's contact info will remain in my phone. 10/10 service. Thank you Michael/Stark.

Use Stark Appliance Repair! Michael is absolutely incredible!!! My past experiences with appliance repair shops were less than stellar...in fact they were horrible (Either they have a week waiting time just to be seen, have a charge just to come and see what's wrong, give unclear explanations of the problem that leave you wondering if they even know what they are talking about or give quotes that are already high with a comment that it may even be more once they start the work). One place charged us a fee just to come, told us they ordered the parts, kept giving us the runaround that the parts were on back order and we never heard from them again. I tell this story so you understand that my expectations were quite low but I was in a bind with my refrigerator and dryer going going down at the same time. I decided to try one more place before investing in new appliances. I called Stark Appliances ready for the runaround and I got the absolute opposite! I spoke with Michael who asked me to do a few simple tasks with each appliance and diagnosed the problems over the phone. I texted him the model numbers and he dropped over the same day just to make sure that his diagnosis was correct (which it was). Michael gave me a VERY reasonable quote and indicated he had already ordered the parts that he needed. He explained what was wrong to me in a way I could understand and that showed that he was an expert in his field. This initial visit was on a Friday evening and he told me the parts would be in on Monday or Tuesday and he could come within a day of receiving the parts. I was shocked at the quick turnaround (especially over a weekend) and said so to Michael wondering if this was a dream. He just smiled at me and assured me he would call when the parts came in. Could it be this easy??? Well it was. Michael called me Tuesday morning and came Tuesday evening. He fixed both appliances and even fixed another minor problem that he saw while working. I don't normally write reviews but wanted to take the time because Stark Appliances and Michael is worth it! Courteous, knowledgeable and prompt service! I am a customer for life!

Came to my house for 2min and guessed what the problem was, on the phone he told me 150$ for seeing what the problem may be but when he got their he said I have to pay for the part I needed upfront so he asked for 246 right then and their and 100$ when the job was complete came a few days later put the part in and fridge icemaker still doesn’t work now he said I needed a inlet valve why wasn’t that checked in the first place instead of guessing what the problem was didn’t wanna refund me at least half the money basically said it’s my problem that I wanted to cancel the job early didn’t work with me or anything I spent 400$ for a part that never needed replacing!!! Wasn’t very knowledgeable he told me he didn’t know why the icemaker is not working that he needed to contact the manufacturer for help

If it was possible to give Michael 10 stars, I would! He immediately knew what was wrong with my refrigerator. Unfortunately, my 14 month old refrigerator broke beyond repair so Michael gave me pictures and a write up to present to the manufacturer because I’m just past the warranty. He even offered to talk to them if necessary. Michael went above and beyond what a service call typically is. I would highly recommend him!

My dryer died last night. I called at 10.15pm figuring I would just leave a message. Michael answered and he was here this morning by 10.30!!!! He replaced the belt and it's working beautifully. What a nice guy too!!!! Will highly recommend to anyone who needs appliance repairs.

Terrible! He came to my house for 20 mins and googled how to fix my fridge. He said I needed a part and he would call the company the following day and get back to me. I never heard from him again. I had to wait a week and pay again for an appointment from my refrigerator company. Not only did I not need a part, it was fixed in 5 minutes by pushing a button. $150 for Stark appliance repair for nothing. What a scam. Also note, they don't take credit card payments because they know the payments would get disputed after they don't do anything for the charges. Totally unprofessional, overpriced and incompetent.

Michael is fast, knowledgeable, helpful, tidy, punctual, and friendly. I will be using him again for my appliance repair needs.

My dishwasher was struggling to wash dishes, and one of my burners wouldn't ignite. I called Michael, and he was at my house the next morning. His service call fee was reasonable. The burner was clogged. He took it apart, unclogged it, and showed me what he did so that I wouldn't have to call next time. The dishwashers motor was shot. He noticed that the installation wasn't done correctly, had recommendations for how to install it correctly the next time, and also had the option to order a new dishwasher through him via ahc appliances. He didn't apply any pressure, but he did make recommendations of what kind of dishwasher we should get to avoid problems in the future, including suggestions on brands and features. He uninstalled the dishwasher, and left us to make a decision on what we would do next. I checked pricing and AHC had the best price on the models we were looking at. We ordered the washer through Michael and it was delivered the next day.

Almost immediately after it was delivered, Michael was there. He set it up, explained his installation and why he did it the way he did, including pitching the lower front of the dishwasher forward so that water doesn't sit on the gasket, and hanging the water drain pipe correctly.

The kitchen was left exactly as he had found it, except for the new dishwasher, and he kept all mess neatly contained within the box that the dishwasher came in (I insisted on handling the disposal of the).

He made a big headache manageable a reasonable rate.

Stark Appliance Repair is highly recommended! Michael the owner was prompt in ordering the part I needed for my gas dryer and came the next day at the time he said he would. He was courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. His prices were very very fair! Great guy, great company! 5 stars for sure!

Mike was so efficient in repairing my GE refrigerator. He came in knowing what my issues were and got right to work. Repair done quickly and fixed potential other issues while here. Highly recommend and his costs were very reasonable. Thank you Mike!
