    Tommy is a nice guy... but it ends about there. Called him for a severe smell coming from my washer and all he did the entire time was tell me "if its not broke don't fix it"... Charged me $200 to take the dryer on top down (which I helped him with) and take the top and back cover off the washer. He knew nothing about HE machines and had to call a "buddy" of his at least twice.... Told me that there should be more water coming out of the pump, "but hey taking the pump out aint easy soo... if it aint broke....." JFC.... Again, a nice guy and I wish him the best, but do yourself a favor and call someone else unless you have an old skool appliance.

    Refrigerator went bad (no longer cooling. Probably the compressor). I got a diagnosis and quote from Sears' repair service, but wanted a second opinion. Tommy claims familiarity with Kenmore/Frigidaire systems (which I have), but for some reason outsourced this job to some other guy (Jim). Jim came by and gave me a different diagnosis than Sears, which at the time sounded logical, and he said he needs to do some more research to see if his diagnosis is accurate. He called me back the next morning and asked a few more questions. So far, so good, right? He said he'd call me back the following morning, but never did. I called him and left a message. Waited over a week and no response. Called Tommy to complain, and Jim called the following morning before I was awake and left a message to call him back. No commentary on a diagnosis update, just "call me back when you can." Called him back SEVEN TIMES that day. He never picked up and never called back. I get the sense he's not interested in the job and is not familiar with Kenmore/Frigidaire systems. What a waste of a $90 service call. Sears has a promotional discount on appliance repairs at this time, so I will (grudgingly) end up using them instead. At least they pick up the damn phone.

    Our dryer vent pipe separated behind our stacked washer/dryer. They are in a closet with very little room. Tommy carefully moved the stack a few inches reconnected everything and taped it. Tommy came when he said he would - same day I called on a Saturday), worked quickly and cleanly at a reasonable price. I would recommend him for any appliance repair. Tommy took over American Appliance - I posted a review there as well.
