I'm a repeat customer of Sure Combustion Heating and very happy with their excellent service and work. I first hired them to install a hot water heater in our building in 2010. As a testament to their quality installation and service, the hot water heater worked flawlessly for 13 straight years. Because of this excellent track record, Sure Combustion Heating was the first company I called when it was time to replace the hot water heater in 2023. Eric and the team set up and completed the installation of a new unit the very next day. They're a joy to work with, they're reliable, and they care about their service. Highly recommended.

Eric took the time to help me out in a jam. He was able to video chat and analyze by video the issues I was having with an IBC Combi boiler. I haven't actually worked with him, but he was very generous and thoughtful in his consultation!

This summer, 2020, during the Coronavirus pandemic, our old Baxi boiler finally died and we contacted Eric @ Sure Combustion as he had done two of our neighbors' with high praise. We didn't need heat, but def hot water! Eric arrived the day after our call to assess. After his first visit we didn't feel the need for another estimate. He has a professional demeanor and seemed to 'get' our situation. His crew is also very professional. He estimated 5 days to finish, which at first we thought excessive, but it was clearly the demo and prep was a lot of work. They got our hot water on after a couple of days and overall, the amount of work it took to install, plumb, test & finish was extraordinary! He talked us through choosing new thermostats, co2 sensor and the various things we needed to bring to code. The machine is wonderful, quiet and very powerful, we are "Sure" the heat will be as perfect as the hot water. A big recommend!

We contacted Eric at Sure Combustion Heating to order and install a new Navien tankless water heater in our home. He and his team managed the tricky install this week and they did an excellent job. Eric is very customer-service oriented and kept us informed throughout the process. Man I am glad I found Erick. He was the most transparent and informative person I was able to find that provided boiler services. Although it came a higher cost to work with Erick it was worth every penny. As long as Erick is in business I will continue to use his services and recommend him to others. Hands down the best in the game!

We have a two story attached house and hired Sure Combustion in April 2018. Our boiler was about ten years old; a huge, tall tank full of sludge due to years of neglect. Eric came in to assess our non-working boiler and concluded that we were better off replacing the whole thing - a fate for the boiler we knew was likely imminent. We happily scheduled the job with Sure Combustion.

Eric and George came in to work almost immediately. Over a week of time they spent 10+ hour long days in our boiler room. They meticulously dismantled the existing boiler, disposed of it for us, figured out a configuration for the new boiler system, and cut every single copper pipe to exactly fit the custom needs of the existing space. They worked tirelessly, only breaking for a quick lunch in the afternoon. The second to last day of the installation George worked over 12 hours at our home because he refused to leave us without hot water overnight. We appreciate the consideration and dedication the company showed throughout the entire process.

After installation, we had many questions about how to operate the machine. We had never had a tankless boiler, nor anything similar. We called Sure Combustion with every question and minor issue - sometimes requiring Eric to come pay a visit just to solve/explain something rather simple, even six months after installation. This should annoy anyone (especially someone who usually gets paid for their time!) but Eric was never anything but patient and polite with us. We are extremely grateful for the wonderful workmanship and compassion Eric and Sure Combustion has shown our family and look forward to working with them in the future when the need arises.

This company is evil and will try to take advantage of you in a vulnerable time. I went into the shop and was asked "what is your pain threshold" . Immediate red flag when someone is trying to gage my financial situation . Then he Said i was looking at $3,000 to change hot water tank. I didnt flinch . Told him i had a newborn baby and needed to do what i had to do. 2 hours later without even visiting the home they emailed me a 13 page estimate for $5,600 full of legal language that clears them to literally scam you and also states price could go up. Scam 1 . Estimate does not specify what brand of water heater . Scam 2! Then When checking to see what could have brought the price up by $2600 from our conversation i found this unusual $1,500 charge. scam 3! See photos and steer clear of this company ! I hope the attorney general gets these criminals out of new york

Eric and Sure Combustion provided the highest level of customer service and care when my home experienced a loss of heat. He sat, after hours and walked through and tried to troubleshoot any issues I had with my boiler. Following day, he followed up to ensure that all was remedied and boiler again was working. I highly recommend.

Finding someone who really knows combi boilers is not easy, but Eric at Sure sure knows his stuff. The only problem is he is so in demand you may have to wait a bit. That said, he always answers his phone or calls you back pretty quickly, he keeps his promises and shows up when he says he will, and he works very hard. I would recommend him to anyone considering a combi boiler.

Eric was super helpful getting us a new combo heater/ hot water. I always shop around so I got a couple quotes for the system. Eric diagnosed the situation over the phone so we didn’t even have to pay for a tech visit. In the end he gave us the best price and worked with my crew to get the system set up as it services two floors. He also helped us trouble shoot some other issues in the units. Overall highly recommend his friendly service.

Eric is a true professional. It’s clear that he’s invested so much time into his business and his trade. Even before I hired him he was willing to get on FaceTime to explain the scope of the work and why each component in his estimate was necessary. In my case, he was hired to fix the work of the plumber who originally installed my tankless hot water system. I wish I found him first. You get what you pay for, and when you pay for the expertise that Eric has, the quality of the work speaks for itself. Save his name and number and make him your first call every time.

Update: 3/3/26. My tankless was installed almost a year ago and this was my first time exchanging my sediment filter. Eric got on FaceTime and explained the process. Photo included below of how the filter looked after only one year. I’m glad I followed his advice- install the external filtration system to prevent all of that from running through your unit. An ounce of prevention goes a long way and he really thinks of everything.

I called Sure Combustion Heating this afternoon and spoke with Eric regarding a possible repair or servicing of our Mr. Steam unit. I wasn’t entirely sure what was needed, and Eric was extremely informative and patient. Although my initial call was only about the steam unit, he took the time to walk through our entire system — including our tankless water heater, radiant heat, additional water heater and water softener. He explained things clearly, made thoughtful recommendations, and never rushed the conversation.

I haven’t used their services yet, but based on this call alone, I was very impressed. Eric was kind, professional, and generous with his time — especially considering it was New Year’s Eve Day. I’m looking forward to receiving a quote and hopefully working with them.
