Contractor reviews in Brooklyn, New York

Nice place.
-
Ignorant Associates won’t help you until you break some glass and make noise ....
-
It is ok! Good place to find many items for home!
-
Terrible customer service!!! 3 different staff gave same response when asked for assistance "I don't work in this department"
-
Bad customer service isn't the word no customer service is more accurate.
Unfortunately there is nothing less on star in the rating -
Purchased an entry door. Store people were great, so was the door. But get your own recommended contractor to install it.

This place has wasted 3 weeks of my life. Took $1,000 to install a carpet. 3 weeks later I still have no carpet. Because I keep asking them when will this happen??? They will not and can not give me an answer. Countless phone calls. Nothing! I went in person to speak to the manager because nobody answers the phone. Their customer service is a non entity. I was in tears and they were laughing

Barbara helped me choose outdoor flooring that is cost-effective. She recommended certain products to meet my home needs and budget. Thank you!

I had the pleasure of dealing with Edwin, the department supervisor. His professional skills and product knowledge are solid and exceptional. Attention to my issue from Edwin was at the highest level I have ever seen in HD. Edwin is in the right place. Thank you so much, Edwin.

Ok place nobody ever helps you get anything you have to find everything your self and the place is a mess and if you ever need anything that is up on the top shelf be prepared to wait a long time for them to get it. Place is only good because of its location

Terrible customer service during the session in the tool room from Mr. Ram. (There's no reason to mistreat customers' products or throw them away.) In the warehouse in general, the organization was terrible; there was nowhere to walk, you had to move the carts yourself, and nobody helped you with anything.

Prompt response, good communication. The work was done efficiently and the total cost was reasonable. We will call them again if we have an issue in the future.

The handyman did really well with our bathroom tile repair. He was prompt and really knew what he was doing. I am more than happy with the work he provided.

The handyman from Handyman and Painter Crown Heights was very punctual, professional and knew exactly how to do the job at hand. Will definitely use him again in the future. A+++++ Good service and friendly staff!

I spoke to Simon about a retractable screen door for my balcony door. He gave me one price when Alex came the price was a hundred dollars more , when he tried to install the door he told me it was the wrong size , I asked him how was that possible because he measured the door he tried to blame me by saying I sent him the door I wanted via text I told him I sent him the type of door I wanted he measured the door so he should have bought the right size , he then offered to put in a piece of wood to make it fit which would have looked a mess , I explained to him that I didn’t want anything tacky at my condo he said he didn’t have time for this conversation so I asked him to leave because at this point he was being rude and I didn’t have confidence that he knew what he was doing especially since he bought the wrong size door after measuring the door , I don’t recommend this company what a waste of time .

We hired Handyman and Painter Crown Heights for a dryer vent cleaning and fan installation. The technician was really best-fit for the job. He had the skills as well as the personality. We really enjoyed working with him.

I received a consultation for painting two apartment bedrooms. They initially quoted me $3,900. After some debate, they reduced the price but asked for a $500 deposit to secure the discount. After a few days of back/forth to determine my paint color, I felt very uneasy and felt like they were hustling me. (NOTE: They were going to paint within a few days so I was wondering how they were going to order the paint color after days of waiting). They apologized, came back several times with additional discounts, but promised full reimbursement immediately. After not getting the funds back via Zelle (which is the way I paid the deposit), I called back. The lady stated that she was processing the payment. A few minutes later, a guy called me and said there was a $300 fee for the consult. I agreed because I wanted to be done with them, but it did confirm my suspicions. I'm still waiting for my $200.
Also, this is in Brooklyn NY. I believe they have different vendors in different states. I went back to some of the reviews and saw that they were commenting from different states. Keep that in mind. -
