Contractor reviews in Brooklyn, New York
-
We recently had a flood in the apartment and had to move out. Our move out and move back in had a tight tight time frame.
Sal was very good at working the schedule to insure that we have the work completed in time to move back in.
The quality of the work was very good and on budget. -
The people who work for Sal and who were on my job were mostly great, honest, detail-oriented, smart, and quick. They gutted a crummy studio and turned it into a lovely home for me. 6 years later, it looks brand new! BUT!! He ran late, and didn't finish the paperwork with the city, which created BIG problems when I wanted to sell. And you need to get everything in writing - T's crossed and I's dotted!!

Cresco Construction did a simply outstanding job on the floors, walls and painting following a significant pipe burst event. Responsive, flexible and quick work. Highly impressed with Cresco.

Cresco does a lot of work in our Coop building and received favorable reviews from the persons we consulted who had used them. We decided to go with Cresco after getting proposals from them and other contractors. We are very happy that we did. Sal and his brother Nick are extremely knowledgeable (they covered issues in a “no nonsense” kind of way), creative (found cost effective solutions to difficult problems), fair in their pricing, responsive (either Sal or Nick would always get back to me within an hour or two of my call), thorough (they painted the interior and exterior of our extensive floor to ceiling bookshelves and cabinets when other contractors only offered to paint the exterior at a higher price) and practical in their approach. Sal and Nick are also a real pleasure to work with.

We recently used Cresco Construction for a gut renovation of our 3 bedroom co-op in Lenox Hill and I can confidently say that the quality of work and professionalism exceeded all expectations.
From the outset, Sal and Nick demonstrated a high level of expertise, clear communication, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results. They took the time to understand our goals and budget, provided helpful suggestions, and kept us informed throughout every stage of the project. The work was completed on time, within budget, and with great attention to detail.
Their staff always showed up when promised, maintained a clean and safe work environment, and was always courteous and respectful of our home and family.
I would not hesitate to hire Cresco Construction again for future work and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a skilled and trustworthy contractor. -
The expansion joint of a steam riser failed in my apartment in New York and the damage was surprisingly large (4 photos before Cresco). In the end, there was protection, tear out, wall board, priming, painting, wall and ceiling paint match, touchup, cleanup. Cresco did a fabulous job (1photo after). They promised it would be perfect. I thought “Yeah right.” But it was! Accolades to Sal.

Cresco Construction was assigned by our building management to repair damage to our coop from significant flood water that came from the apartment above us. Cresco did an amazing job of repairs to our walls. Communication skills were excellent, their protection of our property furnishings was impeccable and the painting work was superb. They delivered everything they promised on time without exception and in fact were early in finishing the project. I highly recommend them for any work related to construction.

Employees are not helpful and hardly have a clue when ask about what you are looking for
-
Bad lines a little unorganized on certain areas
But ok -
Home depot customers beware! The parking lot has a designated parking section for a school that's on top of the store. Only, the signs that are posted are misleading. If you park there, you will be towed, and you'll have to pay a fee.

Home Depot on Cropsey Ave. in Brooklyn hits it out of the park every time. Elizabeth in customer service saw the look on my face when I could not find where the smoke alarms would be and came right over to help me. Very patient, kind and ready to help me with anything else. Great Job Elizabeth
