I tried my rug there they said they would deliver it after a week and it took them almost a month to return it after I had to harass them to give me my rug back.. they also tried to charge me for other expenses.. all I wanted was my rug cleaned and returned, wouldn’t trust these guys again nor will I ever use or recommend them to anyone

Highly recommend! I have a sheepskin rug they were able to clean and it’s even better than new. Great price as well.

Megerian have cleaned and repaired five or six antique rugs for me over the years. The results have always been highly satisfactory. I would not think of using any other service.

I have a wool rug, natural dyes, bought new in India in 2011. In 2012 or so, an oil stain appeared--I don't know how, it could have been movers, it could have been my ex, who knows. I tried to get it professionally cleaned by someone in the city I was living and they took some of the stain out, but it was still visibly damaged. Then, when I moved to NY, I just put the sofa over that part of the rug so you couldn't see it and it sat like that for three years. Recently, when I was moving, I engaged Megerian to clean the rug--I was given a word-of-mouth reco. A Megarian associate picked up my rug promptly and I got a phone call from the technician within a day--they said they could take the stain out for an extra fee, so I said okay, let's give it a shot. A Megarian associate delivered it about a week later when it was ready, without any hassle. I opened my rug and was stunned--it looks BEAUTIFUL. The oil stain is all but gone--the ONLY person who would know where it was is me. The reds are beautiful and vibrant again, the cream colour is bright. The whole rug feels lush under my feet again. And the pock marks from the sofa, where it sat on the rug to hide the stain, are completely GONE. I can't find a trace of them. I am SO grateful I found Megarian. I will never send my rug for maintenance anywhere else.

Great job on all my oriental rugs

We took our beloved wool area rug to Megerian for cleaning and repair after 7 years of use and abuse. Between our lax policy on shoe removal and a mischievous dog determined to make his messes exclusively on the rug, it needed A LOT of work. The colors had faded in areas and run together in others from attempts to spot clean, there were stains that wouldn't come out no matter what we tried, and the fringe was tattered and dingy. Mark and the team at Megerian went above and beyond. From pick up through delivery everyone I spoke with was courteous and professional - I was struck by just how much they truly cared about our satisfaction. Thanks to the team at Megerian, our rug has been transformed from embarrassing mess to the showstopper it once was and we're not just happy, we're thrilled with the incredible job they've done. We had 2 antique rugs cleaned and the older one had a major restoration. They both look fantastic. The older one had faded, rips and tears and bald spots all over. It looks like a well-preserved family heirloom now. Thanks for all the great work- Megerian is tops!

I have tried many rug cleaning businesses in the city over the years and this is by far the best experience I have EVER had. The folks at Megerian are professional, courteous, responsive, and they did a terrific job cleaning my area rug, which really looks like new (and this is a rug from a high-traffic area in a home with pets).

Based on the good online reviews, I filled out the online quote request form for our 40 year old Karastan rug with fringe that frankly had never been cleaned. There was damage to a corner and places where the fringe was separating from the rug, which I documented with several photos. I received an email and call from Anna who made me feel assured that they could clean and repair our rug. We received a written quote that was decidedly reasonable. They picked up the rug, no extra charge, cleaned and repaired it, delivered and rolled it out back out, put the furniture back on it, and it looks great!

The ladies in the office offered great customer service and answered all the questions I had about the oriental rugs I had cleaned. The rugs were cleaned wonderfully and the few repairs I had done made the rugs look revived. The gentlemen who delivered the rugs were prompt and friendly as well. (The free pick up and delivery they offered was a great addition!)

Megerian are FANTASTIC. This is the second time I have had my rugs cleaned by Megerian. I have two turkish rugs, one wool rug, and one mystery rug from a second hand store. Not only do I get the benefit of supporting a Family owned NYC business, but my carpets look incredible. The customer service was excellent, the people were lovely, and everyone could not have been more helpful. We moved from Brooklyn to Queens, and the guys from Megerian picked up the rugs at our old apartment and dropped them off looking brand new for our new place! Many thanks! It’s incredible. They offer a number of services, but aren’t pushy at all. Just delightful people and excellent results!

Megerian did an amazing job on my wool rug!! There was a wine stain and spilled wax on my rug, which is primarily white, and it came back looking like new. They really exceeded my expectations. And they were a pleasure to deal with--so friendly and accommodating.

Sammy is the best dry cleaning service I have used. The staff are very professional and friendly and they have quick turn around times with reasonable prices. I would highly recommend to anyone that needs a dry cleaners/tailor.

The owner of this business openly mocks mental illness and substance abuse in replies. Please report him to the NYC Dept of Human Rights if you encounter the same. Businesses cannot discriminate or provide you lesser services because they perceive you have mental disabilities.

They are stealing designer clothes and won’t admit to it. The owner is likely running a side business with the “lost clothing” as he assured me I would get reimbursed for my pucci shirt and tagliatore 42 silk suit - instead he had his lawyer send me a letter calling me a con artist. I have never had an experience like this with a business and ask that you stay away if you like your clothes coming back to you. The owner knows he’s guilty bc he lawyered up right away after committing to pay me back. Unfortunately I have to now spend time fighting this in court as it will cost $3000 to replace what was stolen. Awful business stay away! The owner mentions he recorded our conversation - i also have recorded the conversation where he commits to reimbursing me for the clothes he lost and i would recommend anyone who uses this business record all of their transactions with them both voice and text.
