Great place for your plumbing needs

We dealt with Calvin cheung who advertise them as a licensed gas, inspector came and did a gas inspection for our house, but failed to deliver the gas report and pretty much scans, elderly parents and neighbors out of their money. He utilizes this company as his and upon calling the business phone number we were told they do not honor their employees work, despite cashing the check. Be aware when you were dealing with this business and especially with this individual.

I had a very disappointing experience with Cross Field Plumbing. The contractor did not follow the instructions as outlined in the DOB permit and instead drew the inspector’s attention to areas outside the scope of work. This caused unnecessary objections and resulted in a failed inspection.

As a homeowner, I trusted that they would handle the job professionally and keep the focus on the permitted work, but that was not the case. Their actions showed a lack of responsibility and professionalism.

I cannot recommend this company to others who need a plumber that respects permit requirements and handles inspections properly.

Recently had a clogged sewer line cleaned out by Discount. It was a near disaster with sewage almost working its way out my basement toilet on a Saturday evening, no less. I called and Greg came our within the hour and cleaned the clog out. He also snaked to the street (clog was on the house side of trap) to make sure that was clear. I did pay an emergency premium....which it was....no way I could wait till Monday!

Called Discount Sewer and Drain at 10:00AM on a Sunday and they showed up at 11:00AM and cleared the waste lines in 20 minutes. They charged me a fee that I KNOW is extremely reasonable for a service such as theirs. Highly recommend them. - Steve from North New Hyde Park

My plumber recommended them. They answered the phone right away, showed up on time, unclogged my main drain and cleaned everything afterwards. Nice and efficient. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Absolutely the most professional team of plumbers I've ever worked with; starting with Pete, Doug and the while squad. I had a clogged sewer pipe they showed up within the hour cleared it out, cleaned it up absolutely the best service around- will use them/ recommend them going forwars.

Recommended to us by a licensed plumber. In one hr. DD&S Co. unclogged our shower drain that another service said would require taking the plumbing apart. O and they came over about 2 hrs. after we called them. Poetry! Definitely, highly recommend them.

Peter was on time. Told me he’ll be here at 12pm. Arrived at 12pm. Took him 15 mins to clear out the clog in my bathroom sink. Gave me good advice on maintaining a clean sink. Very courteous .Happy wife , happy life for me. Great job . Will definitely recommend this company.

I highly recommend this place! My shower drain was clogged for a week, and I tried everything possible. I live in a co-op and the super tried to use a snake but couldn’t find anything and said they would need to tear up the wall underneath the pipes which I didn’t want to do. I was hesitant to call a plumber and possibly get over charged but I had to at least try before I resorted to tearing up my wall. I called one place and they told me they don’t do Co-ops but they referred me to Discount Drain & Sewer and I’m so glad they did. Doug was great, he listened and understood my problem and quickly got someone to come. Ricky was so nice, helpful and considerate. He fixed the problem in about 10 min and I was so happy! Prices are reasonable and they are very professional! I’m so glad and now I have a go to plumber that I trust if I ever need one in the future!

These guys are honestly the best. I called and Doug arrived within a few hours, in the exact time window he mentioned. Doug is a super nice guy, and very professional. He snaked my sewer line, and made recommendations to prevent the backup in the future. He even cleaned up after himself, which is a rarity for plumbers but very appreciated. Highly recommend this company - I'll be a repeat customer for sure.

Finally a company that is respectable in this industry! After a major rain had a clog in my front drain flooded my entire basement. While it was raining I called up several companies who quoted me 300,400,500 plus or said they couldn't even do it. Discount Drain was sub $200!

Dont use Rooter Rooter! It's a scam, they say free estimate.. starting at $495, but they'll give u discounts to $395 and try to upcharge on things.

Discount drain wasn't my first choice with so low ratings, but happy to say if everyone they worked with rated them, I'm sure it would be much higher.

The tech who came out was knowledgeable, great to deal with, and after snaking even had to do a quick blow out.. no extra charge!

Oh and even gave me tips on how to stop it in the future!
