Constraction reviews in Freeport, New York

I’ve worked with Steve (Kitzen) since 2013. He did my bulkhead, my entire back yard (pool, bars, etc), boat and jet ski lifts and much more. Steve’s work is amazing. He’s got wonderful vision and is a great communicator. Best part is, Steve was there after Sandy. The day before he help protect my glass railings. After Sandy he was there surveying the damage. His crew not only did so much for my backyard but helped out in so many other areas. When a storm impacted my float, Steve was there helping me through it. When my boat list had an issue, he was there. Only if you knew Steve like i do you’d understand this review is totally genuine. Two years ago we wanted to redo a portion of our backyard and Steve knew i was only going ask him to work on it. He was so fair pricing wise and can’t thank him enough. If you want to see his work, pm me.

Kitzen Construction is a great company with a strong group of skilled dock builders

Our bulkhead and pier have never been stronger or looked so good

100% recommend you give them a call

Working with Kitzen Construction was an absolute pleasure from start to finish! From the moment we met Steve, the owner, we knew we were in good hands. Steve not only guided us through the entire construction process with expertise and professionalism but also went above and beyond to assist us with financing options, making our dream project a reality. The entire crew at Kitzen Construction is incredibly talented and dedicated, delivering top-notch results from A to Z. What truly sets this company apart is Steve's accessibility and commitment to customer satisfaction. He was always available to address any questions or concerns, promptly responding to our inquiries and ensuring that we felt informed and supported every step of the way. Steve's genuine passion for his work shines through in every interaction, and his genuine care for his clients is evident in the exceptional service provided. It's clear that he takes great pride in his craft and genuinely cares about making his clients' visions come to life. I highly recommend Kitzen Construction to anyone seeking a reliable, skilled, and trustworthy bulkhead/ construction company. Thank you so much, Steve, and the entire Kitzen Construction team, for exceeding our expectations and for being an absolute pleasure to work with. We are grateful to have chosen your company for our project!!

Kitzen Construction recently rebuilt our bulkhead and did a fantastic job! The owner Steve is a great guy, honest, and very knowledgeable about marine construction/ backyard renovation. Steve is very easy to work and communicate with. His team, including the foreman John, were all professional, diligent, and respectful of our property. We had several companies give us estimates, and Kitzen gave us the best price using the best materials. It was not a simple job as we have over 100ft of bulkhead and needed helical piles for additional support. All of the work was done as promised and in a very timely fashion. We are now using Kitzen for helical piles/ grade beams for our patio and other backyard work. They came highly recommended from a number of friends, including an owner of a local marina, and I understand why. I can confidently and highly recommend Kitzen Construction to anyone in need of marine construction!

Kitzen construction did a beautiful job on my pier (110’) floating dock, boat lift and modified another boat lift to accommodate my two jet skis. He even supplied and installed my ez port jet ski docks. Considerable planning and forethought went into designing the perfect backyard oasis which truly makes it like being on vacation when I’m actually at home.

Furthermore, he obtained all the permits for me from Dec, army corps and the town put together a beautiful final product. Hands down recommend Steven and his crew of amazing employees .

We have had a sinking backyard for many years as do our neighbors. When our neighbor was redoing her bulkhead we were so impressed with the workman that we hired Kitzen on the spot. Now mind you these projects are involved and take a lot of time from start to finish but we could not be happier with our end result. Our house looks like a resort and Steve had so many great ideas for us to customize the project. Adding ropes, downward lighting and even mixing our deck colors. We can not wait to start this summer season and show off our new yard.

We had a great experience with Kitzen Construction and would recommend them to anyone looking to do marine or outdoor work! Our bulkhead was in complete disrepair and needed a total rebuild. We had gotten pricing from several companies and felt that their quote was fair. They started the job shortly after our permits were approved and we were truly amazed how hard their team worked to get it complete within 3 weeks; they did a FANTASTIC job and it came out better than I could have imagined. We opted for additional work afterwards to build a boardwalk, add railings, and level the ground with fill- it was super easy to work with them and they got it done timely. The owner was always in communication with us throughout the process and was very helpful when we had questions. Their team are some of the nicest and truly hardest workers I have ever seen. They clearly have integrity and take pride in what they do; their work is solid and the before & after photos speaks for itself!

Over worked low staff and bad mgmt

Tried this once, contractor services overpriced

This is the worst HD I've ever visited. I arranged - or so I thought - for people to come to my home and measure for blinds. On the assigned day they didn't show up after several delays. I called to complain and nothing was done.

The service is terrible. The people don't care and I highly recommend to go to anywhere in Nassau other than this disaster of a Home Depot.

Very good. I needed a piece of 1/2 wood to temporarily cover the top portion of a Anderson louver window. I had to put a exhaust duct for a in room portable air conditioner. They cut a piece of scrap to size for total cost if $2. How do you beat that?

Install new air conditioner

Thanks for everything. Polite and professional. Again thanks.
