I just spent money for 2 1/3 cords of wood that was wet and not burnabl. They give you this allure burning dry wood thats housed inside. While they sell you the customer wet wood for $35 per 1/3 cord. I alerted the retail center Ken and said I could bring all the wood back that I already stored. Ridiculous, don't buy firewood at Rosedale.

We've been there many times to buy plants and their retail department is decent and has good selection. Earlier this year we decided to plant several trees, including one large tree. We went twice to scope out and pick out trees. They tagged them and filled out a landscaping request. That was more than 4 months ago. After nobody called I stopped by twice, and was always assured they were just backlogged and someone would call. The second time someone even pulled our landscaping request from the folder and promised to alert the assigned designers. Nevertheless nobody ever called, we never got our tree, and we will not go back there, even for shrubs or plants. In this day an age that's pathetic customer service. At least call us and confirm we're still in the queue and an ETA. They had the right number, because we verified the second time I stopped by to inquire about status.

John does not return calls once the job is done but you want more work done. We had them design and plant our garden in the front and side a few years ago. After that when we would call to speak with John we were met with radio silence. We called this week one more time saying we needed some trees replaced and that in the past we would not hear back from John. We were told he would call by end of week. You guessed it. Radio silence. We guess unless he knows you will spend $1,000s of dollars it is not worth calling you back. Go somewhere else.

Great selection of everything: seeds, plants, trees, vegetables, fruit trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials.

I buy tomato plants here along with a range of marigolds, coleus, salvia, Russian sage and much more.

They also stock a range of ceramic and plastic pots and containers, window boxes, bird feeders, hanging plant stakes, watering cans, small and large cllippers and nippers.

    And knowledgeable staff!

A wide collection for sure. Over priced. I paid a dying orchid for an overpriced discounted price and was hoping I could rescue. It eventually is almost rip. Some of their employees (or perhaps a manager - someone at cashier was rude (racist) just because I was an Asian. Never coming back. Folks if you want quality orchids, go to White plains orchids - at least there they don’t rip you of like Rosedale.

I purchased some plants and potting soil and pots. The selection and quality of plants is wonderful! My only problem was, that days after returning home when checking my receipt I discovered that the guy from the register rang up quite a few more items than I bought (in three instances he rang up 4 instead of 1) that's a bummer, make sure to check your receipt very carefully while still there!!

Favorite local nursery to shop for indoor houseplants, without any doubt. Andrea does a wonderful job ordering the right plants and selling them for a great price!!! If you're looking for plants to fill your house or business this is the place to go!!! The greenhouse is BEAUTIFUL and well kept. The plants are always happy, healthy, and thriving! Have I mentioned how amazingly fair the prices are?! I could spend all day in that greenhouse!

Excellent quality shrubs and herbs. I can't give it 5 stars because they are understaffed. I'd like to be able to call ahead to find out what they have in inventory before making the drive but they don't have the staff to check on inventory. It's always necessary to go in person and check it out yourself. With that said it is a lovely place even just for walking around. All of my purchases there have thrived in my garden.

I think if they don’t have it here, you don’t need it! An amazing quantity of high quality plants, trees and shrubs laid out in a very organized way. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We recently purchased 2 large expensive trees and 2 shrubs there. Michelle Miller, a Rosedale landscape designer has been instrumental in making suggestions and helping us make decisions along with providing additional information to ensure these plantings thrive. We are very grateful for her knowledge and expertise.

We have always had a wonderful experience with Rosedale Nurseries. They have a wide variety of native plants and trees, and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. The oak sapling which we got from there 3 years ago is flourishing and healthy. We have bought a number of native perennials there which are all doing well. They are always responsive to questions either by email or on the phone. I give them five stars!!

Designed and installed a superb planting at family gravesite and assisted with getting follow-on care.

Called to request information to place and order first time shopping. Janet picked up my call and was extremely rude and unprofessional. I answered my questions instead of guiding me through the process and yelled at me, saying, "You don't listen."" When in our almost 4 minutes call all I was able to say was the name of the shrubs and the size I was looking for the rest was she yelling how busy they are and she doesn't care how buys or not she is not going to give a price through the phone. Well, I was my order of +30 shrubs and was so little for them.

Called 3 weeks after purchasing a memorial tree to ask for 60 seconds of guidance regarding pruning (Japanese Cherry Blossom).

Janett? was very rude and explained I can send an email or call back after Mother's Day. I said I was also interested in another purchase and was told they're busy enough as it is.

I was given the option to submit an email and was told someone would respond when they "get a chance". However, the tree is now in bloom and said inquiry is time sensitive.

So thanks for the help 👍🏼

Check all receipts, read all labels and prices of plants and gardening supplies purchased, do your own calculations and make sure it matches with the register.

I have bought hundreds of dollars worth of plants here because I thought this was the go-to place for them, but my interactions with the family members that run the business has been abysmal. My last trip there was the final straw and I will find a different place to go. During my last trip, I bought 2 bags of 3 cubic feet of cedar mulch (6 cf total). After paying for them, one of the garden workers brought me 2 bags of 2 cubic feet of mulch (4 cf). I told him that those were the wrong bags, and if I hadn't read the labels carefully I would never have noticed that they were giving me less mulch than what I paid for. The worker apologized and said they only had 2 cubic feet bags, so he brought me a third bag but had to notify the boss that the number of bags I was getting was different (even though I paid for the same amount of 6 cubic feet of mulch).

It turned out I had to buy the 3 bags of 2 cf of mulch and get a refund on the 2 bags of 3 cf of mulch I had paid for. The difference was I had to pay like 12 extra dollars and while this was annoying, the cashier was extremely rude to me and made it seem like it was my fault for calling them out for not tracking their inventory.

Well now that I've written this all out this post seems very petty, but I really feel like this nursery should (continue) to be called out for their poor customer service and shoppers should at least consider other options in the area. The workers that do all the labor are actually super friendly and helpful, but they don't own the place. The people that do own it oversee the register and are not friendly at all. I swear it feels like they are bitter when I pay $150 for a shrub. I guess I would be bitter too if someone paid that much for a PLANT but still, I wouldn't make people feel bad for buying it!

Affordable prices and great customer service.

Had a GREAT experience buying my first indoor plants. Chris was very knowledgeable and helped me find Cat safe options! Highly recommend - prices were better than online or at home depot. Shop local!

Shopped there today. Have enjoyed this nursery in the past for finding some more unique flowers. Went to shop for windchimes for a present. Asked for help and was told” in a few minutes. “ No one ever came to help. They were not even friendly about it. I bought the chimes anyway after answering my own questions using my phone. They may have nice stuff but their customer service is lacking. I will go elsewhere next time.

Very nice nursery, large selection of plants for this time of the year. I went there for annuals and I was able to find things that met my needs. But I thought things were a little expensive.
