Great local business to have your tree work done with. Timely with the Quote and scheduling even when outside factors create obstacles. Very easy to get in contact with as well, just leave a voicemail. They also ended up completing the work through a little bit of inclement weather. Flexible payment options as well.

Made an appt for an estimate and never showed or called. Week later before I heard from them.

The tree hanging over our driveway was trimmed and all clean up in short order. Great job!!!

Awful company. Rating would be -5 if possible. Have waited since March and every week more and more lies and garbage comes out of their mouths. Very unfriendly customer service and lousy company.

I contacted via email regarding a tree I need removed. I was contacted via email. I responded and did not get another response. I have since sent out another email and have not heard back. Edit, I have since recieved a response.

The guys at Lathan Tree service do a very nice job. They have all the right equipment to get the job done in a timely matter and they very polite and respectful.

Got several quotes and Andrew beat the other prices by over $1000 They also did a great job cleaned everything up they weren’t even there. Highly recommended.

GREAT local business! EXCELLENT prices! Most professional company you could expect! Would never call anyone else for tree concerns ever again. I hate too say it but it's true......you don't even need to shop around! Left the property WAY better than they found it!

We were very pleased with the service we received. The team showed up on time, were very professional and very knowledgeable. They worked well together and were constantly working. Their clean up was amazing and we would highly recommend them.

The crew arrived at 7:30 AM and worked till 5:30 PM, tirelessly. They took down 5 trees and ground 5 stumps. They removed all the debris from the stumps and raked the areas around them. I could not be happier with the work and cleanup performed, I highly recommend them.

I've used Lathan over the past several years and today's experience was nothing short of the continued best!

Our overall experience with Lathan tree service was not good. There were some good things: fair prices, they came to cut the tree down when they said they would, the young men were nice. The bad things: there were big gouges in the ground where branches fell, they didn't clean up very well. We raked up 2 truckloads of wood chips. This is when we noticed that lots of roots were missed. We were able to get rid of all of the tree except for the largest part of the trunk. We called and Mr. Lathan called back and said he'd send the guys back as soon as he could and there would be no additional charges to remove the large stump. I waited several weeks, called back and spoke to Mrs. Lathan and she said they'd be out the next week on Wednesday. On Friday of that week I called and spoke to a young woman who said they'd be out by Wednesday the next week. On Sunday I received an email stating they'd be out monday afternoon. They didn't show so I called, they got backed up. They'd come Tues. They didn't show. I wrote a bad review that night. This am I recieved a call stating that if I dont remove the post they wouldn't come back to finish the job. I did, they came and did a beautiful job and cleaned up very well. I was very pleased. I asked about the trunk and I was told they were only doing stump grinding and it would be a 300.00 charge to cut it in half or remove it. It's too bad that they cant keep word.

Lathan Tree Service sent flyers to my neighborhood last year, and I signed a contract for a tree trimming in Sept. 2019. They couldn't get to the tree before winter, which I accepted and had no issue with.

In the Spring, we tried to get something on schedule, but then I was advised that work was pushed back due to COVID. No problem, work for many was delayed.
After exchanging calls and saying I still want the work done every month throughout the summer, here we are over 1 year later, and no one has come out to trim my tree. My last voicemail was not returned after calling every single week for a month or so.

I understand weather delays, pandemic delays and am a very patient person. But to not have a job done in over 12 months regardless of reason is completely unacceptable. It's unfortunate that I can't rate the actual service as it was never done.

I agree with Deborah that I am only giving Lathan Tree Service one star because there is nothing lower. Mr. Lathan was scheduled to come on a Tuesday and never showed the whole week. I called that Saturday and talked to his wife and told her if the work was not done by Monday then don't come because the driveway company was scheduled to come later that week and I did not want the large trucks driving over my new driveway. She said he was behind due to an "employment issue" and would fit me in on Monday. What I found when I returned home I can only assume was the result of his employment issue and hurrying to get my work done.
I have included pictures so you can see firsthand what I am talking about. My light post was bent and scratched and had to be replaced at a cost of $250. My brick walkway was virtually destroyed - I found a few of the missing bricks in the weeds - the rest they must have broken when they drove over it and just threw them away. I have had a ballpark estimate on that so far of $6-700. The ruts he left in my yard are so deep that my lawn guy has to bring in fill to fix them. He said roughly around $200. Mr. Lathan agreed to pay for a new crossbar for the lightpost - they cost $3.88 at Lowes, seriously? Do not hire this tree service and save yourself a lot of grief and money.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I had a tree fall on the roof of my pole barn during a storm. I called Lathan Tree service on Monday 7/10. It took two days before they could come out to look it over. He came and looked at the situation, and gave me a verbal "guesstimate". He asked what my insurance deductible was. I told him I would have to call the insurance company. He said he would have his wife email me an estimate. I received nothing, so called the next day. They said they were waiting to find out what my deductible was, and I told her what it was. She said she would let him Know. As of today, 7/19, I have not yet received the estimate. Luckily I googled other companies on the afternoon of Monday 7/17, the guy was here within the hour, gave me a written estimate, and he and his crew did the work getting the tree off the roof, chipping it, hauling it, PLUS they took down another tree that was potentially dangerous! I asked them how they could get to this job so quickly, and the owner told me that storm damage is a priority. I'm glad I didn't wait for Lathan ( who told me once I had the estimate, it would be at least 2 -3 weeks to be able to get to this job). There is significant damage to the roof, including a good sized hole, and broken trusses. If this guy didn't want the job, he should've said so up front, instead of leaving me hanging. I don't recommend Lathan tree service.

6/26/18 - My experiences with Andrew Lathan and his crew have always been positive. Going back a few years, when called he quickly took care of a tree that was struck by lightning which included dealing with insurance. More recently, I got an estimate in the fall for work this spring. They called in the spring and my yard was too wet, so they waited. They just came today - they had let me know they’d be here this week. Josh Lathan and the guys did a great job. They were courteous and worked hard all day to get six trees down. Everything was cleaned up after and I couldn’t be happier with their work.

We hired Lathan to remove 7 trees that were possibly a future safety concern/liablity for us. They came out quickly for an estimate, which we received via email within a couple days. The estimate was broken down with details, so we knew the cost of each item estimated. This is a great feature for any estimate in my own opinion.

We received a call to schedule the project start date with a 3-5 day window, which is to be expected with unpredictable weather. The crew was here on day 3, harnessed up, and began working. I was impressed with the time and care they took ensuring not to damage the utility lines or neighbors fence that our trees were sandwiched between.

The crew was upbeat, friendly and very personable during their long day here, and the job was done wonderfully. We would definitely recommend this company, and already have to my parents.

I needed a large tree cut down and called for a price. They came right out and gave me an excellent price and were extremely accommodating and professional. I would definitely recommend Lathan Tree Service to others.

We had Lathan's Tree service to remove two late trees and have their stumps ground. I felt compelled to write a review and express my appreciation to their team Not only did they efficiently remove two large trees and grind the stumps but they meticulously cleaned up the debris in our yard.

The workers were polite, friendly and truly professionals.
