It is said that the only thing of value a man has to offer in this world is " his word". In Ken's case that turned out to be worthless. Ken quoted me a proposal to plow my driveway which was a one time charge for the season. When I received the contract I told him that I was interested in a per trip charge, as I believe this is the fairest for both parties. He reluctantly agreed an sent an amended proposal which I accepted, signed and returned. He in turn sent an email thanking me for the business and accepting the contract. This was in October2024. In November 2024 he then tells me that he will not honor the contract. When I remind him that therE may be consequences for breaking a contract, he then says OK "I will do it for this year but not next year". When my driveway didn't get staked as specified in the contract, I contacted Ken, he said at that time, per trip contracts do their own staking. At this point is was becoming increasingly clear that Ken had no intention of honoring his word OR the written contract.. I have contacted him via text messaging to clean up my driveway AT HIS CONVENIENCE. He has not come!!
I URGE YOU TO DO BUSINESS WITH PEOPLE THAT HAVE ESTABLISHED TRUST, WITHIN THIS COMMIUNITY. -
Ken has most definitely taken on more plow contracts than he can properly deal with. He doesn’t properly train his drivers in exactly where they are supposed to plow, he doesn’t follow his own contract of 3” or more of snow even when you send pictures with a tape measure showing the amount of snow he will say it’s 2”., He is unprofessional and does not know what decent customer service consists of. He appears immature, if there are any issues he deals with them by threatening to cancel contracts, or if you talk him into keeping the contract because it is the end of December and he has made 4 trips to your property and wants to give you less than half of the money back you paid for the entire season he acts annoyed if you contact him for any legitimate concerns. He then tops off a season of unneeded stress by not honoring the entire contract , he didn’t do spring cleanup as was stated in the contract. He could use a course on how to provide at least good customer service. At the very least as well as more life experience so he can act like a professional. About 5 minutes after I posted this review Ken contacted me and said he would be out in the morning to fulfill my contract. He told me I think I’m his only client which is an example of his immaturity. I most certainly never did just expected him to honor his contract. I contacted him on 4/17, 4/21 and this afternoon about spring cleanup after seeing a post on his facebook account from 4/4 that he and his crew went and took care of spring cleanup for all his plow contracts obviously except for me. His immediate response to my review when he ignored 3 requests to fulfill his contract is an example of his unprofessional practices.

I’m very disappointed and sad to write this review of Brooke's Enterprise I notified them as well. What I requested was not completed correctly at all! Ken said “he was a professional and expensive but said he would get the job done the right way and professional, within my time frame. I spoke about my project in great detail and I was under a time crunch, they completed in time but CUT MANY corners and unfortunately his team does not have any knowledgeable about plants, as they removed plants (lavender and hostas) that they shouldn’t have, they even butchered my hydrangeas as the buds on 2 of my bushes were cut off completely, so I will not get any blooms at all! Also I requested all of the old landscaping cloth from previous owner and all weeds removed but as you can see in the photos that was not completed, there are 1ft+ weeds growing behind bushes, and just 2 weeks later you can see all of the weeds and hostas growing thru the new mulch! I reviewed the security cameras and it confirmed they just used a weed wacker and then added the mulch on top, they left all of the roots! I contacted him when I first saw weeds and when I dug up and moved plants as they were placed way too close to the A/C unit and I saw lots of weeds and the old cloth under the new mulch! When I spoke to Ken he reluctantly sent someone to come spray (which obviously didn’t do anything or kill anything all) The roots should have been removed prior to the new mulch and the grading of the beds should@@ have also been done prior but it wasn’t! I had to remove mulch from around the A/C unit as it was all in the vents! You can see the mulch dips down behind the A/C which I discussed with Ken prior. You can see the photos (even the ones he sent with his employee in it) and all of the grading issues and weeds coming thru, it’s sad that people do this type of work! The pictures prove and show the level of work completed by this company and now need to have another company redo all of the work!

We wanted to upgrade our kitchen ceiling. It was suggested to us that a wood tongue and groove ceiling with a new updated farmhouse style ceiling fan may look nice. Also, we wanted to paint the walls in the kitchen and Brooke's Enterprise helped us by looking for a color that would compliment the new wood ceiling and fan. The results are so beautiful 😍! Everyone that comes in & sees the new remodel agrees that it looks stunning. We highly recommend this company. Thank you for your spectacular workmanship.

I had made a post on Facebook about needing my driveway plowed last minute and an employee named Kenneth had messaged me about it and was MORE than helpful! Not only did he show up within an hour but he shoveled, ALLLL around my house for me!! I’ve always gone through “random” people who just have plows to get it done quick but I will most DEFINITELY be coming back to this company! Thank you SOO much again for going above AND beyond what I even asked for and getting theres so quickly. One less thing I had to stress about today and again he made it so simple for me! Thank you SOO much again much again!

Dead trees and nasty people.
I went back to return two cherry trees that died soon after I planted them. I had to argue with the owner about it and he was not very friendly. Then finally he agreed to refund the money. The lady at the cash register was nasty about it as well. -
Great displays with just about every plant in every size that you might want .
Downside is the price have jumped quite a bit - Yes I know , everything to bring the plants to market has gone up - fertilizer, diesel to transport, labor, etc., etc., but damn , it’s disappointing especially if you are trying to establish a home vegetable or herb garden — a Lot cheaper ( still ) to just buy the produce later from someone else -
They have a ton of beautiful flowers and it's well organized. However, less than 2 weeks after I bought a bunch of flowers they withered away and didn't bloom again. I'm super bummed.

One of my favorite garden centers! Such a wide variety of plants, decent prices, and friendly staff.

I got my flowers/annuals from here for the first time. So impressed! Fairly priced and did great this summer!

If I could give a zero I would. Dawn was the most disrespectful person claiming to be a professional ever. Broken product seemed to personally offend her as she claimed “no one’s ever returned this before” so it was my fault.
I bought two identical products. One worked perfectly, the other was defective. Do not try to return a defective product or you will be treated like a criminal trying to pull one over on “Dawn” who also claimed she is THE manager and no one else was in charge over her so my boyfriend and I could not get this properly resolved as she tampered with my product exchange, in the most baffling excuse I’ve ever heard.
I ran a local Fairport Nursery from 2010-2014, I never treated a customer like that. I also know you dont rip off the calcium protective sheeting off solar products...like Dawn did in front of me. How she manages anything is beyond me.
Just because you overprice your defective product doesn’t mean you berate a customer over it when they want their money’s value.
So disappointed in Dawns representation of Wayside... how disgustingly unprofessional.
Consider shopping elsewhere, there’s plenty of garden shops around Rochester, people! -
Great fall selection of perennials, extremely helpful, competent staff, great prices!!
-
Always an adventure to shop at Wayside. I went for black gold cactus soil. The only soil for good cactus growth that does not need amending.
Always love the huge variety of plants and shrubs with great garden supplies. -
Here's the scoop. Saw on their website a price for a tree, when i got there it was 10 times more expensive. Have purchased lots from Wayside over yhe years.

Even though it is a 13 mile drive to Wayside Garden Center, it is so worth it! I haven't been able to find morning glories anywhere near me, but I found them here. I have been researching clematis online and I found a 2017 cultivar called Taiga. It had a white center, purple and white inner petals and large deep purple putter petals. Same story, Wayside is the only place I could find them. There are knowledgeable workers everywhere to answer questions. I have been a gardener for over 40 years and this is my favorite place to shop.

In late spring into summer, the perennials and annuals are usually in great condition; decent to somewhat high prices; but kept in good condition...during the winter to early spring, I do not find very good inside or household plants; like they are not well cared for; so usually marked down...that aside, there are usually a good assortment of seeds; and of various kinds of gardening supplies...TUESDAY is 10% off senior citizen day...DO GO THEN if you qualify!

Great selection of indoor and outdoor plants. Some can be pricey but others a total bargain so its good to scope the whole place out and see what you can find. Plants are all well taken care of. I love the selection of indoor plants!

If there was an ability to give more stars I would. As the owner of a local landscape company, supplies and selection are everything when it comes to getting the job done.
There's never a doubt in my mind, they'll have anything myself or the customers are looking for. Keep doing great, our company loves you and our clients love you even more. -
I love shopping Wayside for shrubs especially- they always have a great selection and it is a nice walk through the display. Huge selection of Hydrangeas and Roses, and good place to spot new varieties as well as old stand-bys. Also excellent selection of perennials, annuals and tropicals. Plenty of friendly staff at hand makes it easy to find help in any section of the store.

We used Len and Wayside to expand our bluestone patio and could not be happier. His quote was reasonable and he was very easy to work with. He’s responsive on the phone through a call or a text. He started our project on time and his guys did a great job. Len came back and checked on the finished product a couple times to make sure it looked good. He even filled in a few holes our dog dug up in our yard at no additional cost. We were really happy with the work and have hired him for further work in our back yard.
