I have been working with Troy for 8 years and I can't be happier. Troy and his crew have added a patio and plantings in our backyard and we are thrilled with the way it looks. Troy also maintains the property and his crew is always prompt and polite.

We hired Dobbertin to do fall cleanup at our new house in October. MONTHS went by (and several phone calls!) before they finally showed up in JANUARY to do the fall clean up. The original quote included leaves, gutter cleaning, and some various trimming/pruning. When they came in January, all they did was clear leaves from my property and dump them down the ravine. We later received a bill from Dobbertin that was MUCH higher than the original quote despite the fact that they did not do everything that we originally hired them to do. Their reasoning was that the leaves were wet (yes, it is January in upstate NY) and we added a fence since the original quote was given. Yes, we did add a fence, nearly TWO MONTHS after we hired you to do our yard cleanup. Mind you, we were home during the time that Dobbertin was at our house doing the yard clean up and not once did someone come to the door to explain that it was going to be more work and more costly than originally quoted. We were not happy with the yard cleanup itself as many leaves were left in/around the garden and under trees that border our property. I could not be more dissatisfied with our experience with Dobbertin. They certainly lost any future business with us and I urge you to use a more honest, reputable company for your landscape needs.

Not thrilled at all... they came recommended by the person who ground a tree stump in my front yard. Same problems as others mentioned- didn’t show up when they said they would, I had to call multiple times over a few weeks, and when they did finally come, the job wasn’t at all the quality or finished product I expected (and they were more money than 2 other estimates I received) but everything the owner said was convincing when he came to give the estimate. My lawn still looks horrible, even after I followed all of the instructions, and had to call them back to plant seed again. The grass that is coming in looks cheap and weedy. I would never recommend this company.

I have used Dobbertin Landscape's mowing and plowing services for over four years and have been nothing but pleased with their work. The lawn crew does a very thorough job trimming along my sidewalks, driveway and fences and the lawn is never under-mowed and long or over-mowed and dead. They have pruned the bushes in both the front and back of my home on a few occasions and done an excellent job with that also. The crew has always been polite and respectful and do a great job of cleaning up sidewalks, driveway, etc when done. As far as plowing is concerned, i have always been satisfied with the timeliness and quality of their service. I have no complaints whatsoever and would highly recommend Dobbertin Landscape to my friends and family!!

We had a long, low berm edged, matted, mulched and some shrubs cut back. John and Gabe did a great job. We think the price was fair. We would recommend Dobbertin for landscape upkeep.

Have worked with Troy for five + years. He is well priced and responsive. Past few winters the quality of plowing has gone way down. I would call and report the problem. Usually someone would come and re-do the poor plowing job. But, I guess this year he decided my money wasn’t good enough, he has left me without a word. Did not send a contract (as he has done for years) did not bother to reach out. Oh well. I won’t miss the lack of quality work - it’s a shame his crew is ruining his business. I do not recommend him anymore.

Used them years ago for lawncare. Started great and they were there pretty much the same time every week. Then I noticed the time in between each cut got longer and longer. Or it would rain the day they were supposed to come and they would skip that week and come the following week. Which was okay, until I realized (and confirmed on my ring camera) that I was being charged for multiple visits even when they didn't come. I think they just send a monthly invoice with 4 or 5 weeks of service on it hoping most people wouldn't notice. Definetly a sketchy way to do business. If you hire them, pay attention..

We used Troy to get a couple stumps grounded down out of our yard. They did a great job and cleaned up everything after. Would definitely recommend using them!

Very disappointed. They were the middle quote to remove trees after hurricane Sandy. They only did half the work. Left me the expense of finishing it months later and then charged my credit card for work they never did.

Laura and her grew came out and removed three ash trees price was way under what I was quoted by three other companies her guys are fast and efficient when they left I couldn’t even tell they were there cleaned the yard and had no yard damage great job guys

George and his team were amazing! The landscaped my new house in 1 day and it looks gorgeous! Very friendly and courteous and super knowledgeable of plants. I highly recommend!

Laura and her team did a wonderful job with the trimming of our trees! Her and her team went above and beyond! I would highly recommend them if you need the services that they provide! Thank you so much again!

My neighbor had a tall tree that is about 6' from our property line cut down yesterday. I looked out my window and seen a big portion of the tree in my lawn right after I mowed. I at first thought they were just putting the branches in my lawn, which I was slightly irritated over. I went out to see what was going on, immediately one of the workers came over to butter me up and talk about other stuff, soon after they left. I ended up spending the next half an hour picking small pieces of twigs up out off my lawn and mowing that section a 2nd time to bag all the leaves and debris. I even went back out this morning and picked up two more hand fulls. I am quite irritated that not only did they leave lots of debris in my lawn I have since learned they actually attached a rope to the tree and pulled it down on my lawn on purpose! That is absolutely ridiculous to go on someone's property and let huge sections of tree fall on their property without even asking for permission. Then to leave a mess for me to pick up after is extremely rude. Here are pictures of them pulling on a rope and then the tree or a portion of the tree falling around 25' into my property!

You can't go wrong if you use T & L Tree and Landscape. I was a bit cautious at first because I didn't know anything about them and you never know who is reputable. We were happy and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I feel their tree work outshines their landscaping work.

We have hired Laura and her crew at T&L twice now. They have always been professional and patient as we asked questions. The results were fantastic both times and we'd hire them again.

First 3 estimates from different companies to remove two silver maple trees, leave the stump, and take debris; $2500, $1700, $1800. Then T & L who took almost 3 weeks to even give an estimate says $5999!!! For the exact same job! How can they come in more than double everyone else?! Unbelievable! Wish I could zero stars on here.

Amazing service from this company. Had the quotation on Friday and they were out the next day as they were in the area and finished on another job. Had 3 maple trees thinned out (admittedly long over due on my part). They came out knocked out all 3 trees and did a really nice job. I would definitely use them again in the future. Thanks.

Great work! Very professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend T&L to anyone who needs tree work. Their cleanup was top notch too! They even took care of fallen branches that were there before they arrived.

Laura and her crew just finished a job at my house. I had let my yard go, with many saplings that turned into trees and overgrown goldenrod that had turned into bushes that took over my yard. Danny, Tom and Matt came in and did an such amazing job turning my mess back into a yard. They have such a wonderful work ethic. (I think I heard singing!) I highly recommend this company if you have a job that needs to be done and done well.
