Landscaping reviews in Macedon, New York

In late spring into summer, the perennials and annuals are usually in great condition; decent to somewhat high prices; but kept in good condition...during the winter to early spring, I do not find very good inside or household plants; like they are not well cared for; so usually marked down...that aside, there are usually a good assortment of seeds; and of various kinds of gardening supplies...TUESDAY is 10% off senior citizen day...DO GO THEN if you qualify!

Great selection of indoor and outdoor plants. Some can be pricey but others a total bargain so its good to scope the whole place out and see what you can find. Plants are all well taken care of. I love the selection of indoor plants!

If there was an ability to give more stars I would. As the owner of a local landscape company, supplies and selection are everything when it comes to getting the job done.
There's never a doubt in my mind, they'll have anything myself or the customers are looking for. Keep doing great, our company loves you and our clients love you even more. -
I love shopping Wayside for shrubs especially- they always have a great selection and it is a nice walk through the display. Huge selection of Hydrangeas and Roses, and good place to spot new varieties as well as old stand-bys. Also excellent selection of perennials, annuals and tropicals. Plenty of friendly staff at hand makes it easy to find help in any section of the store.

We used Len and Wayside to expand our bluestone patio and could not be happier. His quote was reasonable and he was very easy to work with. He’s responsive on the phone through a call or a text. He started our project on time and his guys did a great job. Len came back and checked on the finished product a couple times to make sure it looked good. He even filled in a few holes our dog dug up in our yard at no additional cost. We were really happy with the work and have hired him for further work in our back yard.

This place felt so magical to me. When I walked in I felt like I was in a garden fairy land. There were so many workers taking care of the plants and there to help you find what you needed - maybe because I was there early and there weren't that many people yet. I was in awe of how huge that place is and how much stuff they really had. Chances are if you are looking for something they have it. It was the best garden store I've ever been at.

Excellent customer service! Vicky stopped and helped educate on us on our flower choices. We didnt ask. She was extremely helpful! Prices are reasonable. We coukd have spent hours (and hundreds of dollars)!

OMG. I love this place! My wife and I went there for the first time today with our son to search for perennial flowers that the deer won’t eat. She was able to pick out the flowers she wanted for Mother’s Day, and I played with our son on their little playground. We all benefitted from this experience and left with exactly what we wanted!

Only putting a one star because it won't let me put a zero and the employees did their best for not being trained fully. I was there yesterday getting veggie plants and herbs for our family garden and i was under the impression from a previous visit (about a week prior) that they accept EBT cards for the veggies/fruits/herbs. That was not the case and we werent trying to hold up the line and my mom was in the process of grabbing her debit card to use instead when the owner (which we didn't know she was at the time) was pulled in to help. She was straight up disrespectful and acted like we were doing this on purpose and being rude/causing trouble. I find it shocking that the owner doesn't know what she accepts or doesn't for payment and that none of the employees where trained in it either. I really hope the people who were trying to help don't get in trouble. It was an honest mistake that i believe falls completely on the owner. Thanks to that experience we're never going back. Also should add it took over an hour to find stuff in awful selection of stuff and was over $100 worth too. We only decided to keep everything because we felt horrible for the young lady helping us and how long it took to find everything and the line behind us. This place has been on the decline for a couple years now but I've never left there almost crying from how i was treated.

Deb in the garden/gift area, great customer service!
Went to the Cashier to check out, had a couple for $10 off $50 and my total came to $49.96... 4 cents off and they didn't honor it. Not going to use the June gift card, will go elsewhere from now on. -
One of the most amazing garden centers in our region. Picked up some beautiful blueberry bushes today. Best part, other than the selection is the staff. They're helpful, very knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend a visit.

They had a beautiful selection of healthy plants. You could tell that they are very knowledgeable and they take the time to make sure the plants they sell had a great start. The store was nicely laid out so you could easily find what you are looking for. Staff was roaming around to help with any questions you might have. One of my favorites to shop.

My all-time favorite place to get all of my gardening needs especially the beautiful flowers. Everybody is so helpful and sweet.

WAYSIDE GARDENS NURSERY, MACEDON NY
Working with a company has a measure of uncertainty surrounding "what will happen if something doesn't go well".
I fully believe that the true measure of working with a great company is known, not when things go well, but when they don't. Here's the story.
We hired Wayside Gardens Nursery, located in Macedon, NY to plant some trees and bushes. They came and did what we asked. The workers were efficient and steadily worked the entire time! The work was completed within the day and my husband/I were very pleased.
When my husband/I later walked around our yard, we noticed that they removed a bush where we specifically said it needs to stay where it is. There used to be a Japanese Holly there that my husband really liked. It was gone.
We tried finding a replacement as did Wayside. None of us did. I ordered a rose bush to be planted in its place.
Within two days of the rose bush arriving, Wayside Gardens Nursery came to our home and planted the rose bush. There had been no "discussion", no excuses, no blaming; just a quiet acceptance that a simple mistake had been made.
Wayside Gardens Nursery is now my first "go-to" nursery for any more landscape work we will need in the future. We are all human and as such are not perfect! It is how people respond to these "imperfect" events that definitively show their level of integrity and professionalism.
Thank you. Len. for the exceptional service! -

I reached out to Paul at Wayside about replacing some dead plants in my landscaping and hoping to replace them. Paul responded quickly, was at my home quickly and I received my quote and sketch quickly. I agreed on the plants and within weeks they were at my house removing the old, putting the new in and it was seamless. If you didn't know they were at my house, you can't even tell. Great work, great customer service and great job! Thank you Wayside for providing quality work every time!

Beautiful plants!! I had gotten a tiny blueberry bush elsewhere and wanted another variety to cross pollinate with. Came here and they had HUGE bushes of like 8 different varieties, yes they are pricier but you're getting a heck of a lot more than just two branches like the other places sell. Also, shrubs apparently have a warranty, which I had never heard of but it's amazing that they have one!
Came back for a houseplant that had caught my eye the previous time and it's gorgeous.
Also, they have a shop cat who is an absolute sweetheart, and nothing makes shopping for plants better than seeing a kitty sunbathing in the aisle and having it ask for attention :) -
Made my first visit to Wayside Garden Center today. Wow, what an amazing place! This is definitely houseplant heaven and everything else you need for gardening, birdwatching and gift giving for the gardener. Glad it’s near where I live so I can go there whenever I want. Friendly, helpful staff and kitties!

Lots of unique plants and many friendly staffers. 3 stars because it is really expensive. Shop wisely, compare prices elsewhere.

Always a pleasure, although I end up spending way too much money! ☺️ I got a really pretty picture of a water drop on the leaves of a bluebell.
