I am extremely dissatisfied with the cleaning service I received and feel compelled to share my experience in detail, as it fell far below basic expectations for professionalism, cleanliness, and respect for my home.
From the start, there were significant concerns regarding hygiene and cleaning practices. I personally witnessed staff using the same sponge to clean the toilet and then immediately use it on bathroom countertops and sinks. When I addressed this, they briefly switched to paper towels but continued to use the same materials across multiple surfaces. Similarly, the same towel was repeatedly used throughout the home—for sinks, countertops, appliances, and even inside my refrigerator. At one point, that same towel was used to wipe my already clean dishes and trays, which was extremely concerning. There were plenty of clean towels available, yet they continued to reuse a single one across multiple rooms and surfaces.
I also observed a staff member (Fran) cleaning the toilet with her own wand and then repeatedly placing the dirty wand directly on the floor. Additionally, inappropriate cleaning products were used—such as granite cleaner being applied inside the oven—even though proper products were available and provided.
There was also a lack of respect for my home and belongings. Cabinets were opened without permission, and they helped themselves to a brand-new roll of paper towels and additional cleaning supplies without asking. I had provided a complete set of cleaning tools, including a vacuum, mop, broom, duster, and microfiber cloths, yet they unnecessarily used their own supplies inconsistently. My personal towels were mixed into their cleaning pile and not returned.
Despite giving clear instructions on what needed attention (microwave, oven, overhead vent, fridge, dusting, windows, and dressers), the work was rushed and incomplete. Surfaces remained visibly dusty, windows had handprints, and many areas were not properly cleaned. Instead, time was wasted washing dishes that were already clean—even after I specifically asked them to stop and clarified that the kitchen did not need that level of attention. One individual spent nearly the entire three-hour visit in the kitchen, while the rest of the home was rushed through.
The quality of work downstairs was especially poor. Vacuuming of the entire area was completed in approximately 15 minutes, and this was done while one of the workers was on the phone, speaking loudly. When I politely asked for an additional area (the boiler room) to be cleaned, Fran dismissed me by putting her hand up in my face and continuing her conversation, which I found extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. The team later claimed the area had been cleaned, but I know for a fact it was never touched.
Communication and professionalism throughout the visit were unacceptable. The team arrived late for an 8:00 AM booking, showing up around 10:30 AM, and then left early after only about three hours—even though the appointment was scheduled for 4.5 hours. They abruptly packed up and left without informing me, leaving me confused and having to follow up myself. When I contacted their supervisor, I was told they had another booking to get to, and if I wanted additional time, I would need to schedule it separately. This was extremely frustrating, as I was simply expecting the full service that I had already booked and paid for.
I made a conscious effort to give the team space and did not hover over them. I only checked in occasionally to offer assistance or clarify tasks, which is when I observed these issues firsthand.
Overall, the lack of basic hygiene practices, disregard for instructions, poor time management, unprofessional behavior, and inadequate quality of work resulted in my home being left in worse condition than when they arrived. I have serious concerns about the safety and cleanliness standards of this service.
I will never use this company again and would not recommend them to anyone.

Do not trust them!

I booked them, followed up with them, confirmed with them, and they never showed. They also didn't call and explain. I finally reached them over an hour past the scheduled time and they were "sorry" but they weren't gonna come.

Pleasant team was very efficient and hard working, really paid attention to all the corners and hard to reach dirty areas, got rid of so much dirt and grime. Great price too!

I recently couldn't book my regular service and a friend reccomended maidwhiz. I was expecting pretty good service but wasn't sure. They came a couple weeks ago (right in the scheduled arrival window--plus) and I was honestly so pleasantly surprised with what a great job they did. I'm nine months pregnant and needed help getting the apartment clean before the baby comes. They took care of details I hadn't even thought of, cleaning off the spice shelves, window sills I hadn't thought of in years, and even put the new sheets on the baby's mattress. My husband came home that night and was so happy-- the house smelled great (No chemicals) and he also couldn't believe what a thorough job they'd done. To be honest, I'm switching companies now! They were so nice to me and my house sparkled like a little castle. Thanks Maidwhiz!

Christina and crew saved the day! I booked Maidwhiz just a few days before I was having a walk through of our house for a sale. After moving out after 53 years there was so much dust and dirt and Christina and team saved the day. They were meticulous and took the time to get the job done right. Highy recommend - they went above and beyond!

Unfortunately our experience with MaidWhiz was terrible. The only reason we hired them was to clean the blinds of our new house because of my husband's recent lung transplant and cancer. When the maids came I explicitly asked them to do the blinds. Afterward I was deeply disappointed to discover that 75% of the blinds still had a dark filth on them (see pictures). When we complained we only received a $40 refund and a "sorry." I will never use them again and would definitely not recommend them.

My husband and I called MaidWhiz when we were in a pinch for Memorial Day weekend. Hershel made time on the Saturday before Memorial Day to have our house cleaned for a party. He is professional, personable and the service was amazing! We haven't had a consistent cleaning service in many years and we are booking with MaidWhiz going forward. Hershel is flexible in the services offered which we really appreciated. The house on the second visit from MaidWhiz was again perfect and we would recommend MaidWhiz to anyone looking for a professional and reliable cleaning service. We couldn't be happier we found MaidWhiz!

Wow! What a positive first experience!! Extremely responsive, replied to me within a fifteen minutes and scheduled service WITHIN THE HOUR! They came and spotlessly cleaned my messy apartment (I also have a cat), and did not cut any corners. They were extremely receptive when I asked if they could pay attention to the area behind my bed, and were happy to do it. They were so efficient and were in and out within a few hours. Floors, kitchen and bathroom extremely clean. All surfaces wiped, behind TV, corners, etc. the house smelled AMAZING! They even folded the toilet paper into a little triangle at the end like in hotels. I had a bad experience with another maid service, but am so happy to find Maidwhiz. I will be a regular customer.
