The ladies came in and worked hard without any hesitation. They did more than I expected. Very polite .
Was told by a family member that they did a great job cleaning and now we can sell my father's condo since he has passed
As a new customer, great experience. The cleaning team were very thorough & conscientious. Overall a very good experience.
My place sparkles, the cleaning crew are respectful of the property and everything looks great!
The ladies of Merry Maids, Montrose are especially good at cleaning stainless steel, refrigerators and bathrooms. They will work around you if you are busy while they are at your house. You can tell them to not touch certain areas and they comply. They know what they are doing and finish quickly.
I've used Merry Maids in the past for deep cleanings and was always pleased with their services, so I called them to book a spring cleanup. I requested three people, and NO LESS, because I knew it was going to be a huge job. For me, hiring three people has always been the way to go. The woman in the office booked my appointment for three cleaning people. She asked for a credit card to put on file, but I told her that I would prefer to pay cash. She insisted I leave a card number because it was company policy. I asked her NOT to use it, as I knew my credit card didn't have the funds. She told me she wouldn't use it. I booked the appointment. The day of the appointment, a crew of "two" showed up. Strike one. I asked one of the girls to call her office to find out why three didn't arrive as I requested. I spoke with the woman there and she told me they didn't have three people that morning and that it was a better deal anyway because I'd be paying less per hour for two cleaning people as opposed to three. My point is, I didn't get what I asked for; Merry Maids did what was best for them and assigned my third person to another house so they could make more money. I wasn't born yesterday. Well, instead of turning the girls away, I decided to give them a chance. I offered them coffee and beverages throughout their time here, and tried to stay out of their way. They did a pretty decent job in the 4.5 hours that they were here, or so I thought. I looked around quickly and everything appeared nice. As they were racing out the door, I needed to stop them in their tracks because they weren't paid yet. They told me it was already charged to my card! I told them I was paying cash, and they looked puzzled. One of the girls then called their office to see what was going on. She came back in, I paid by cash, and signed her paperwork. After they left, I immediately called their office just to double check that they didn't hit my card. The woman there assured me they did not. Great. Until I received an email from my Capital One credit card company slapping me on my wrist because Merry Maids tried to charge funds that were not available! Strike two. As I began to slowly inspect around my home, I then noticed that the girls had blown a circuit breaker downstairs, I guess while they were vacuuming? Hey, no biggie, but telling me would have been nice, don't you think? Also, after one of them cleaned the chandelier in my dining room, I noticed that the base was pulled out of the ceiling and it was just hanging there in the middle of the wires. I have no idea how I'm gonna get that cap back onto the ceiling. Would have been nice to have been told about it. Strike three. After cleaning my office, they left a huge pail full of garbage behind. What's up with that? Strike four. After a final inspection downstairs (where they spent their last hour here), I noticed that they cut corners everywhere. They left large areas not even dusted, i.e. they dusted the front of furniture tabletops, but not completely towards the back. Or, they dusted exposed surfaces, but not underneath runners or doilies, places a person wouldn't at first think to look, etc. Sloppy work because they were rushing to get to their next job. Strike five. Also, in most instances, they didn't make an attempt to place things back where they belonged after being cleaned. Also, they chipped a huge coral sculpture in the living room. And every single picture hanging on the walls was crooked, curtains pulled apart, valences folded up and over, etc. It's those little things that piss me off. Look, I'm not a picky person at all. I know cleaning is not an easy job, and sometimes things break, no big deal. It would be nice to bring things to my attention instead of sneaking off hoping I won't see it until you're gone. Yes, I'm happy my home is relatively clean now for spring. I just can't stand shadiness! And, it's not a language barrier problem, as the woman in the office spoke perfect English. BTW, their replay to this is a total lie.
