ServPro responded quickly to our needs. Professional team thoroughly restored our home and the technician was so kind. I would highly recommend ServPro in any emergency. - Rebecca K
This review is in regards ref #3731173. Our sump pump became overwhelmed with all the rain & backed up & we woke up to a flooded basement very early in the morning. My husband put in a call the local Servpro & was connected with a central operator due to the early hour. A few hours later a received a call from an individual named Britney who said they would be our customer service rep for the duration of our service. Britney told me that they provide free estimates prior to service. When James Renford arrived to evaluate the situation I asked him to provide me with the estimate when he was done. Mr. Renford informed me that he could not provide me with one, that he needed to get his crew in here & get the service started. Maybe I should have stopped him & demanded one. But when you have been up since before 5am & there is water in your house you just feel trapped knowing it has to get taken care of & they are already here. Mr Renford explained that his crew was going to pull back the carpets in some areas & remove the padding. They would set up fans in those areas, spray an anti microbial agent & be back on Monday to collect the equipment. The crew arrived and removed the padding from a few areas. I offered to let them remove the doors from the hinges in both bedrooms due to how wet the carpet was in both areas & my offer was declined. Those spaces along with the hallway right outside the laundry room were very very wet and padding was not removed. The crew was in and out very quickly with no explanation about the fans or the dehumidifiers they left behind. No instruction/explanation was given & no one said not to turn anything off. The weekend came & went & Monday morning I admit I turned everything off because I had been told they would be coming back to collect the equipment on that day. No one said they would be coming to re evaluate it. Later on Monday I received a text from Mr. Renford informing me that I shouldn’t have turned anything off. I understand now why but absolutely no explanation was given & having been told that they were going to collect the equipment that day & honestly like anyone else I was trying to keep the cost down. They left some of the fans & dehumidifiers. Midweek I contacted Britney & informed her that we had not been provided with an estimate & spoke with her about what had happened with the equipment. That is when I informed of why the equipment needs to be left on. Again no one had said anything when this started. I am unsure of what happened but I never received the estimate that I was told had been emailed (I am not blaming Britney, maybe there had been screw up with my email, I did check the spam folder). Friday the 19th of April was the first time during our interaction with Servpro that I felt like someone cared & was genuinely interested in helping us. I received a call from Michael Beck. He listed to me asked questions & explained things to me. Unfortunately due to several factors Servpro ended up cutting out part of the carpet in one of the bedrooms right under the door. In my opinion this possibly could have been avoided if they would have taken the door off & removed the padding in that are which was one of the areas that had been highly saturated. Mr Beck has reached out to me several times since we initially spoke & for that I am deeply appreciative. Yet given our overall experience with Servpro of Eastern Niagara County, Niagara Falls I could not & would not recommend their services. In the end we were left frustrated & feeling like we were a rush job so they could get on to more jobs (yes time is money & the more jobs you do the more money you make). Yet slowing down slightly & making sure the job is done well & the customer is left feeling like they matter goes a long way. Happy customers refer others & leave positive feedback.
