Edco Cooling & Heating did a great job installing my new AC unit. The service was top-notch and their response time was lightning-fast, making them just one call away whenever I needed help.

The contractor came out and fixed my HVAC unit in under an hour, which is impressive. However, they never provided me with a detailed estimate of the repairs or their cost beforehand. I received a $1500 bill a few weeks later, which caught me off guard.

I felt taken aback by the sudden expense and expressed my concerns to Eddie. Despite this, he did offer a 10% discount on the bill, which is why I didn't give them one star instead of two. To be honest, the original quote seemed reasonable when I asked around about what was fixed, but I just felt frustrated that I wasn't given more information before being hit with such a large bill.

We've had our older York rooftop heating and cooling unit at our office in the Bronx serviced by All State for years. But this past Christmas, during a harsh cold snap, the unit stopped working altogether. Despite multiple visits from All State, the problem persisted - it would malfunction occasionally. On one particularly frigid day, one of the owners spent four hours on the roof, braving the wind and cold, to diagnose the issue. He found that a wire inside the insulation had been broken, causing intermittent operation. We're grateful for Russ's dedication to keeping our staff warm and comfortable. As window servicemen, we know how tough it is to deliver good service, so we appreciate All State's efforts when we see them. Thanks, All State Air Control.

I've relied on All State Air Control for over 15 years, and they've consistently delivered on their promises. They installed my home's HVAC system in Pelham and my commercial building's system in Mamaroneck with a dedicated team that got the job done efficiently. Their prompt response to service calls and scheduled maintenance is impressive. Kudos to Mickey, Frank, and Russell for their professionalism over the years.

I've been relying on this home services business for over a decade for all my HVAC needs. Recently, after a flood destroyed our system, we needed a replacement. The technicians from this company were top-notch - courteous, considerate of the work process, and always met deadlines. Their professionalism impressed me. I've enthusiastically recommended them to friends and neighbors, who appreciate my endorsement.

My experience with Ice-Air's technical support was extremely disappointing. I repeatedly called over several days, left multiple voicemails, but no technician ever followed through on their promise to contact me the same day. The dispatcher seemed unconcerned and unresponsive, leaving me frustrated and ignored. Their lack of care for customer satisfaction is alarming.

I've collaborated with Ice-Air on various projects in NYC and they're hands down my go-to vendor - very easy to deal with, always professional, responsive, and willing to collaborate for mutual benefit.

My air con's now fixed and running fine.

We received a defective PTAC unit that shuts down after just under a minute and turns back on multiple times each night. It only works in high fan mode, but that's also extremely loud. This product is a complete waste of money.

The air conditioning unit runs consistently cool, supposedly to prevent the compressor from freezing - but that's just cold comfort when you can't get a good night's sleep due to the constant chill. It's baffling to me why anyone would even bother with such a setup.

The technician thoroughly explained the problem and presented reasonable alternatives, rather than pushing the most costly option, showing excellent customer care.

I bought two ice air PTAC units 2 years ago. After 13 months, one unit failed outside warranty, requiring repair at half the cost of a new unit. 2 years later, the heating stopped working in both units. Despite regular maintenance every 6-9 months, these issues persisted.

This air conditioner makes a deafening racket instead of being a whisper system as advertised. The digital panel frequently displays a temperature reading that bears no resemblance to the actual room temp, which is quite frustrating. If your management company is inept at performing routine maintenance or doesn't have the budget to send out technicians for filter replacements and unit cleaning, you'll likely end up like me: struggling with breathing issues and being ignored by everyone in the office until it's too late. The only redeeming quality I can mention is that when I contacted the company, I was eventually able to get ahold of an engineer who explained that they offered maintenance services but were rejected - this person helped clarify that my breathing problems are actually due to the negligence of my building management team. While I wouldn't give this unit more than two stars because it's loud, it does manage to chill the room when the temperature reading is accurate on a given day. The only bright spot is the customer service, which earns me one star - unfortunately, there isn't an option to share video evidence of my experience, so that aspect remains unexplored.

The new PTAC unit installed by this company wasn't up to par. After less than 13 months, the compressor failed and is now being repaired. What's even more concerning is that I was led to believe it would be more energy-efficient than my old unit, but unfortunately, my utility bills are increasing instead of decreasing.

July 2022 - I recently had to purchase two PTAC units, due to an inexplicable choice made by my building engineer. The preferred installer offered a better alternative, Ice Air, which wasn't available as an option. Needless to say, I've been miserable with these units from the start. They're excessively loud, the thermostats are inaccurate, and they cycle constantly, making them appear less energy efficient than expected.

Both units have already required multiple servicing sessions, and just three years after purchase, one of the compressors has failed. The poor performance is not only frustrating but also costly. I'm extremely dissatisfied with my experience and strongly advise against purchasing an Ice Air unit unless absolutely necessary.

April 2023 - Just under a year after my initial review, the replacement unit's compressor issue has become even more pressing. Not only did the rattle from the same unit worsen, but the service technician revealed that the bearings on the fan motor have worn out, requiring a costly motor replacement. I've never been as unhappy with an appliance purchase in my life. In fact, it's almost like using a subpar oscillating fan and space heater instead of one of these units would be a better option. My advice remains unchanged: avoid Ice Air unless you have no other alternatives.

Pelham Heating & Air Conditioning exceeded expectations from start to finish. They showed up on time, identified the problem quickly, and got my air conditioning up and running fast. The technician was courteous and respectful. Their transparency and reasonable rates impressed me. I'd highly recommend this service provider.
