I had arctic replace our hvac in 2018. I had to go back and forth with them during the install, in the end they got me a working product. The problem started in the 4th year, where the refrigerant keep drying out every few months in summer. There was definitely a leak, though their focus was quick fixes, charging $300 everytime they visit our place. There was no accountability on why this is happening. I had to call hvac company, who provided another technician, who uncovered all the issues with install that is resulting in current issues. Our neighbors also shared similar experience with them.

I had my annual heating maintenance service performed by Arctic Mechanical Technician - Mr. Nelson. Mr. Nelson is a true professional with unparalleled knowledge and a very pleasant personality. Highly Recommend.

We had a no heat call. Nelson the tech from Arctic Mechanical saved the day. He found the problem and immediately fixed it. It was after hours and came shorty after my call. Outstanding service.

Arctic Mechanical sent Nelson Valentin to our home to deep clean three heads of a Mitsubishi ductless system. We couldn’t be more pleased. Nelson was very professional, extremely efficient and thorough, but also kind and considerate. We will certainly ask for him in the future.

Artic Mechanical came to our house first thing in the morning on Christmas Eve when our boiler went down and got us up and running. Nelson and Manny were able to diagnose a complex issue and get the boiler running again in short order. They were super professional, friendly, comprehensive (sent two technicians), and knowledgeable. Highly recommended Arctic Mechanical!

Artic put in my heating aircon & installed a new water heater for me a few years back. I signed up with them for an annual service contract and it was great decision-they sent out Nelson the first time and so appreciated his attention to detail and giving me tips on how to manage them all! Every time he returns I get the same great service!

He himself checked the radiators, set the thermostats, and ensured an adequate flow of heat. We hope to receive the same kind of service in the future.

I had a very positive experience with Arctic Mechanical who recently installed my new AC condenser, air handler unit and line set. It was a seamless process from start to finish. The crew did an amazing job and were very thorough and efficient in terms of their work as well as being very meticulous in the clean-up process. Arctic provide their customers with a customized and detailed assessment as to their HVAC needs and offer very fair and honest cost estimates. My dad was an HVAC engineer who always used Arctic when it came to installing new units and having them serviced, so I trust his judgment. I've used Arctic to replace my heating and cooling systems. They have always been very responsive and helpful. Since then, my assigned technician Nelson has serviced my A/C and heating system. He is very knowledgeable and helpful as well, and always on time for his appointments. I highly recommend Arctic for all your HVAC needs.

Our heat went out on the afternoon/evening of 12/29. I called the next morning and a tech was dispatched. He told me the boiler should be replaced.

They gave me a quote and we put the order in that morning. A team came the next morning with the new boiler and all the parts. They worked all day and got the heat and hot water going by the end of the day (12/31).

It was a focused response to the issue. Artic Mechanical did a great job and we are very happy!

Fraudulent billing. Aggressive office tactics. Avoid these crooks.

Watch out for these fraudsters. I had Arctic over to look at a heating issue. Their tech was in my house for no more than 20 minutes. I received a bill for 1.5 hours. When I called them, their rude representative claimed their GPS said he was at my house for one hour and 27 minutes. Then she hung up on me.

I then check my Ring doorbell camera and got the video evidence. I wrote the company and supplied pictures from the camera. Then got a call from a "manager" who claimed their rep didn't try to tell me that the 1.5 hour bill was correct.

I posted this first to Yelp. The company replied with an attempt to intimidate me by posting my full name and address. This has been reported to Yelp.

Watch out for these crooks. If they're willing to scam me on my first small bill, imagine what they'd do to you if you did a big project with them.

It is clear that part of their playbook is to 1) overbill a customer 2) claim it was an error and 3) then move forward, probably trying to overbill again later on.

Shame on Arctic Mechanical for being shady, but also for attempting to quell my free speech and alert others to their shady practices.

UPDATE: The Arctic response below is both inaccurate and misleading. They tried this attempt to rewrite what they did and tried to intimidate me via my review on Yelp. But yelp took down their response. Feel free to check the yelp positing for Arctic. These guys are CROOKS - AVOID.

I had such a great experience from star to finish. The girl on the phone who did the scheduling was excellent and gave my such confidence we called the right place. I highly recommend this company for their professionalism and skill.

Nelson at Arctic is great!
My steam boiler pilot light wouldn’t stay lit , found out at 5pm Wednesday. I called and they were able to come the next morning , which was awesome!

Nelson knows his stuff, they have the appropriate parts available , quick, clean and to the point.

Ultimately the gas valve needed to be replaced , but I appreciated that he showed me the things he checked first before concluding the gas valve was the issue. I’m also a curious person on how things work , so he was patient in explaining it to me as well.

Artic Mechanical went above and beyond for my mother when her furnace failed after hours in below-freezing temperatures. The technician was compassionate, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He clearly explained the issue, ordered two non-parts specific to her furnace, he returned the very next morning (early) to complete the repair as promised. Outstanding service, honesty, and CARE!—I highly recommend Artic Mechanical.

Arctic Mechanical is the BEST in the business! The office staff is always a pleasure to speak to and their technicians are very knowledgeable and efficient. Their pricing is extremely reasonable. I highly recommend them to all of my friends & family. They still have that mom and pop nostalgia to them that you just cant seem to find these days!

Arctic Mechanical came out last week to fix our furnace after it stopped blowing hot air in the middle of a cold snap. From the first call to the final fix, they were incredibly responsive and professional. The technician diagnosed a failed igniter quickly, explained everything in plain English, and had the replacement part installed the same day.

What really stood out was how transparent they were about pricing. Heat was back on within a couple hours and everything’s been running perfectly since.

Highly recommend Arctic Mechanical if you want fast, reliable service done right the first time.

Nelson Valentin was awesome, he was very professional and polite he knew what to do and got right to work. If you want a great job done and done right Artic Mechanical is who you want. Our heat went out on literally on the coldest day of the year, and we were worried about the pipes freezing. Arctic Mechanical sent someone out the same day, which was such a relief!

Nelson was great. He quickly figured out what was going on and, even though some parts had to be ordered, he was able to get the heat back on right away. That was the most important thing.

They also gave us a fair estimate to do the complete job..

Fermin came back about a week later and replaced all the worn parts. I asked both Fermin and Nelson a ton of questions because I’m genuinely curious about how this stuff works, and they were both super knowledgeable and happy to explain things :-). You can tell they really knew their stuff.

One thing that really stood out was the communication with the main office, they actually answer the phone. That feels rare these days with so many companies getting bought out and losing the personal touch. Arctic Mechanical still feels like a local customer focused business.

Really happy to support a small, independently owned company. Highly recommend!
