Fritz does a great job!
Highly unprofessional, I wouldn't hire this guy to inspect a light bulb
I initially was very happy with the inspection. He pointed out a couple minor things but gave a seal of approval that our house was in pretty good shape. Only took about a week when we started finding things. First, there's a gaping hole in the heating ducts thats just pumping air into the basement. Then we found that the plumbing is spotty at best and every time the dishwasher or washing machine runs the sinks back up with water. Didn't expect a perfect house, but heating and plumbing are exactly the things a home inspection should be covering.
After the inspection, I was happy. He endorsed the house and seemed very knowledgeable. It didn't take long to start having issues. Which is normal in a new house. But when every contractor I have hired to do work has said "Didn't you get this place inspected?" and "The inspector should have caught this you know", I'm starting to think I kinda got taken for my money by this guy.
Gunther knows his stuff! he answered all our questions and uncovered several potentially costly items. We were able to negotiate with the seller to replace the old furnace and they gave us a credit for half the cost of a new roof. Very happy we decided to a home inspection.
We had Fritz inspect a home that we were interested in buying in Geneva. He was great! My father and uncle are retired union tradesmen. Fritz knows the local codes and historic building practices and, as a professional inspector, was able to notice a few issues with the property that will need to be addressed that the contractors in my family would have probably overlooked. Thanks Fritz!
