John came out within 1 day of my phone call. He showed up right when he said he would, fixed my furnace within 2 hours and the cost came in much less than other competitors would have charged. Can't recommend Carroll enough.

Our furnace wasn't working so we called John Carroll to check it out. He arrived right when he said he would, checked the furnace error codes which just said ignition failure and didn't really give him anything to go on. He poked around for a few minutes, and based on what it was doing when it tried to fire up he said it was probably the gas valve. He went to the parts supplier and was back in under a half hour with the part, installed it, and the furnace fired up and runs beautifully. That's how experienced John is—he went with his gut and got it right the first time even though the furnace codes etc. didn't indicate any clear problem. To make matters even better, he informed me that the part was under warranty. John installed the furnace several years ago—I had no clue it was still under warranty. He could have easily charged me for the part—that's how honest this guy is and I don't take that for granted with contractors. This is the first issue we've had with the furnace since John recommended and installed it and our central air several years ago. When he recommends a furnace and/or central air, he knows what he's doing and stands behind the product and his workmanship. The final bill was very reasonable—with John Carroll you're not paying for a fleet of trucks and a fancy office building with secretaries etc.--not to mention you have the owner working on your heating or air conditioning and not a hired hand who doesn't have nearly the experience. John installed a new furnace in our home.The entire experience working with John and his team was fantastic.  He was extremely responsive, very knowledgeable, took the time to discuss what options we had, and did high quality and professional work.  In addition, the price was very
reasonable, and the installation timing was faster compared to other contractors.  We will be reaching out to John for all future HVAC needs.

John was the only who agreed to install an Ecobee digital thermostat to integrate the HVAC and humidity controls in our house. We had separate 30 year old thermostat and humidity controllers and only Ecobee had the capability to integrate both. It was not an easy DIY project since our old thermostat was lacking wires of a particular color needed for the install. John showed up on a Saturday in the middle of the covid pandemic and did a perfect install. It did take him longer than anticipated due to some poorly run HVAC wires in our house but he did not charge us extra. He was very reasonably priced and professional. Thermostat has been working flawless for about 3 years now. The ability to monitor and regulate home temperatures through my phone across continents is fascinating. Thanks John! Install of new central ac, new furnace and new hot water heater. Pricing was good, service and friendliness was good, and the job was done in 1 1/2 days. Hauled off old junk, cleaned up after the work was done too. Professional and reasonable service and install. I will be going to Carroll heating for any future needs. Small in-town shops are the way to go. So far so good, temp set at 70° house stays at 70 and 50% RH. It’s a beautiful thing.

We were incredibly happy with how quickly Mr. Carroll was able to come to our house to figure out why our furnace stopped working. He was here within an hour, figured out what was wrong and was able to fix it all within just a few hours. He was honest and he does good work. I would highly recommend the company to anyone and will definitely be using their services again!

John Carroll, proprietor, of Carroll Heating & Cooling is amazing. Very knowledgeable, professional and particular with the product recommendations and installation. No big sales tactics and is personally on every job. His pricing is extremely competitive. I would not hesitate to give John a referral. Definitely will call him back for all of our HVAC needs.
