I highly recommend Westside for their quality of work, professionalism, and cost! We met Phil at the end of the 2024 season while frantically looking for a company to build a retaining wall for a pool we had just put in. Phil went above and beyond with recommendations of materials, design, and provided us with a very reasonable and detailed quote. Travis and Mike completed our Seneca boulder retaining wall, drainage for the yard around the wall/pool, stone steps, and a paver walkway. We are truly amazed at their work! Our backyard is a little piece of paradise now and the wall adds so much beauty and character to our landscape! Everyone we encountered at Westside landscape was very nice and helpful, but we owe a HUGE thank you to Phil, Travis, and Mike!

Update 8-16-15: Apparently the owner didn't care for my review and thought threatening me with legal action was a good idea. He wrote me this in an email " I will be handing your post and facebook page over to my attorney."

Maybe reaching out to me and asking why I was unhappy might have yielded a better result.

Update 4-29-21: if it was a new company you wouldn't operate under the same Google listing. You're upset about the review.

READ BEFORE: I had called a dozen company's for a quote on a front walkway with a step. AARON with LANDSCAPE SOLUTIONS was the only company that called back. He proceeded to tell me they were booking out until August, and how sorry he was that he couldn't help us sooner. Not only did he call back KNOWING he didn't have availability, but he suggested a few DIFFERNT company's to call. With everything going on during this pandemic, most will only act on what benefits them. If this isn't the definition of high quality CUSTOMER SERVICE; then I don't know what is. If we didn't need a walkway and step to enter our house so soon, we would be booking with landscape solutions and waiting for availability.

I have been a customer of AB Landscape for several years for annual winter plowing and summer lawn mowing services in addition to patio and walkway installation. I am surprised by previous inaccurate feedback as I have recommended AB Landscape to family and friends without hesitation, who have also had positive experiences.

Aaron and his team removed an old overgrown large garden from our property. They were very efficient, gave attention to detail and had an affordable rate for our family. Thanks Aaron!

I would recommend this company for all your landscaping needs. We had a jungle of a backyard. Aaron and his crew came through full swing. We had everything torn out and fresh topsoil put down and graded. Fresh seed put down. We now have a huge backyard for our dogs to run. Thank you again.

Everything was good when it came to planing and giving estimates, Everything was on point. But when it came down doing the job it was a horrible experience from the beginning to finish, and not only that when it brought up to the owner Aaron attention how come the landscaping was not burmed up a little so there is a little hill before the gravel was put down and the plants his response was "You didn't ask for it" which to me it says a lot. Instead of the owner Aaron who is been doing this for a while supposedly bringing that up to my attention and telling me also that it would be good to do that and even though when I agreed to the price I thought it would have been done the proper way but sadly it was not. My opinion and my opinion solely but I would not be recommending this business to anybody.

AB Landscape Solutions has been cutting my lawn for 25 years and never had a problem. Very prompt and excellent work. Also had them do my patio and edging work. Excellent quality. Would recommend this company for all your landscape work. Very professional. Thanks Aaron.

Best company in Rochester to do your landscaping and patios. They made me cleaned up my front lawn and put a beautiful walkway in and also cleaned up my gardens. Aaron and is crew are very polite and respectful. Will always recommend!

Aaron is everything you could ask for in a contractor. He installed my patio in Oct 2022 and he did a fantastic job. It looks great. 2 days ago I notice that one of the 12" x 18" pavers developed a "hole" that was bright white and very noticeable. It looked like a bubble had burst on the top of the paver. I took a pic and text Aaron to ask him what could be done with the hole. Within 30 sec he responded by asking who I was. I text back my name and address. To my surprise, instead of texting me back he showed up in my backyard with 10 minutes. I seriously could not believe the response. He mentioned that the hole was a rare occurrence but it happens and said he would take care of it. He replaced the paver the very next day. Aaron was / is simply amazing. You won't be sorry choosing him.

Aaron and his crew did an amazing job. He designed the walkway and it matches the house beautifully. They cleaned up the yard and even cleaned up a mess left by someone else. I only wish I had this done years ago. I can't say enough good things about the job they did.

I have been a customer of Aaron Ritter since 2005 when he provided an affordable landscape plan for my first home. From paverstone walkways, patio retainer walls, outdoor "she-shed"and other landscape issues, he and his team were always on time, courteous, gave professional advice and cleaned up before they left. I've made many changes on the property and Aaron has been there for all of them. He takes a house and makes it your Oasis. Thanks Aaron and crew for being here and coming back.

A & B Landscape Solutions did an amazing job with our patio. They really went above and beyond. It started by wife and I being referred to them by Weckesser, and they were out the very next day to do the estimate. Aaron took the time to walk me through the whole process, what he would do both personally and professionally. I knew we had an issue with several things, like the downspout being in a poor place, foundational issues against the house, a very poor grade on the yard; the list goes on. Later that evening, we had a high-level outline and diagram of the proposal and the pricing came in very competitive. This was all before I signed the dotted line and the work actually started. Aaron's communication was perfect throughout the process, with clear instructions of when and where things needed to be completed. They were able to start the very next week, given everything came in on time -- materials etc. Aaron even orchestrated and resolved some supply issues, without us having to lift a finger or make a call ourselves. Then came the actual work. Aaron and the team arrived bright and early every morning ready to work, with no fooling around. Being the nosy person I am, I would check in periodically, and never saw a single person just laying about, they always had something they were doing. Not that I think people need to be productive 100%, far from it, it was just amazing to see, especially in the heat and humidity we've been having. Everyone was respectful of our property, always asked permission to use something if they needed to, and we're very personable. At the end of each work day, he would report in, tell us if their progress, and issues they found and/or corrected, and always asked if it was coming along as anticipated. Even in the first few stages, you could see the level of care, passion, and professionalism in their craft. Before we knew it, we had a full-blown, wonderfully crafted, patio; just as we dreamed and then some. However, it doesn't stop there. When I was given the final walk through, they had actually gone well above our expectations, they fixed the grade surrounding the patio, more than would I, a layman in this area, would deem to be the minimum, extending well passed 6ft, fixing a previous nightmare from another landscaper. As we turned the corner, they actually leveled out the entry fro the side of the house as well! Tamping down, grading, and putting in the remainder of the dirt not used in other, much needed, areas of our property! Not just left in a pile because we paid for it, but literally put to good use! Every member of the crew engaged us and asked how we're liking the job, we're personable, and really made us feel comfortable entrusting them with our property. I have already recommended them to several of my family and close friends looking to undertake similar jobs, and we will, without a doubt, make them our first call for our landscaping needs.

I am a business process consultant by profession, and I can't speak high enough to their level of care and professionalism. I have never, or very rarely, ever taking the time to write a review for someone, but I am for Aaron and his crew. Hands down 10/10, excellent experience, and couldn't be happier.
