Plumbing reviews in Rosedale, New York

They do a good job with a pleasant attitude.
-
I have used this plumbing company twice, and they are the best. I was in a jam and they helped me tremendously.
-
Good work good attitude pretty fair and ho nest Deserve 5 star but they rescheduled.
-
Fabulous customer service-it's a pleasure to speak with a human who actually understands your problem and knows how to guide you in the right direction! Thank you Marina:)

Good service at a fair price. In plumbing you often get what you pay for, and if you pay a bit more here trust that you will get good work out of it.
-
They provide excellent, and detailed service . They changed my hot water tank last week with little notice. The owner, workmen and front office staff were very professional and helpful.

Unable to give less than one star. Scheduled service 6 days ago. On day of service no one shows up. Was told they scheduled it incorrectly and I could reschedule. No consideration for me wasting a day I took off from work. I asked if they could come in the evening and was told no. Guess they don't want to be inconvenienced.

10/20/20 - UPDATE - The manufacturer (Dunkirk Boilers/ECR International) of the boiler system that Bryne was recommended by had to come to my home to evaluate why after I spent $16,000 with Byrne the system still does not provide heating, hot water and snow melt. They indicated that the work that Bryne performed was poorly engineered and not done correctly. They recommended another HVAC company to remediate the incompetent work done by Byrne. Additionally, Byrne has hired a lawyer/debt collector to harass me about a remaining balance. I challenge Byrne and Sons to provide any documentary evidence that they have in fact completed this work and that they left my home with my heating, hot water and Ice Melt systems in working order. Clearly the replacement HVAC company and the manufacturer's technical representative cannot both be mistaken? I would also add that Byrne did not have the in house skills to engineer this job and hired a man employed with a rep firm full time to do the work as a subcontractor to Byrne. They have not paid this man for his work, not withstanding that his re-engineering of my system was poorly designed and executed.
If Byrne wants to settle this matter as a reputable business they should reach out to me directly and pay for the additional work that had to be performed to make my system whole after they screwed it up. I would also expect a mutual General Liability Release be executed to consider this matter closed.
3/10/20 - Do not use this plumber. First off if you look at the list of reviewers, Lee Rosenthal who gave a 5 star review is an employee of the company. He is also an untrained and incompetent employee that is not even remotely capable of completing a job never-mind doing it correctly. Additionally this job was started on 5/7/20 and completion was dependent on being done in the warm weather months. Needless to say, it is not complete 10 months later. I fired Mr. Allaire for ignoring several messages requesting that this work be completed, for breach of contract and failure to perform. -
On 11/19/19 I got a boiler installed by Byrne & Sons. On 11/20/19 I called them back to express that the boiler wasn’t coming on when it was set to come on by the thermostat. On 11/21/19 the owner came by with an attitude to check it out. It just so happened that when he came the heat was on. I explained that the heat wasn’t actually supposed to be on as I had set it on the thermostat to be off. He was at my house for about all of 5 minutes. He Looked at the boiler and thermostat and said it was hooked up correctly and I would probably need to change my thermostat. (Never stating what kind of thermostat)
For the reminder of the winter I just actually let the heat stay on and physically turned the thermostat off when I left my home or when I didn’t need the heat because since the new boiler was installed it never came on when it was set to. (The old boiler and the thermostat worked fine together). Honestly this is where I went wrong I should of kept on them until the boiler was working correctly but the holidays came then the pandemic and I just dealt with it.
Fast forward to today I called Byrne & Son to express that my boiler still wasn’t working correctly my husband even changed the thermostat as suggested and still the boiler comes on when it want to. The first thing that the pleasant lady in the office says is oh your warranty expired 11/19/20 and a service labor charge is $195. Really ma’am we are in the middle of a pandemic you don’t even know what the issue is and you have no common courtesy or professionalism about the situation.
The owner calls me about 8 hrs later to say that my warranty has expired and he definitely isn’t coming now since I changed the thermostat. Sir you told me to change the thermostat. I understand that my warranty is up and honestly I wasn’t asking for a free service charge I was asking as a courtesy to check out the boiler (that was never working correctly in the first place) to be looked at and yes if something needed to be repaired then I understand I would be charged bcs my warranty is up. But to charge me $195 Just to come by to take a look and it may be nothing is ridiculous.
At this point I don’t care if the boiler cost me $1000 to repair this company will never get another dime from me as they are unprofessional and have no common courtesy for customers especially during a time like this. -
This was the worst experience I ever had with just requesting an estimate for a complete new boiler install. I had to wait an enoter week for an estimate I took the day off and about 3pm I called the receptionist she said she would call me right back and to no avail no call. I live 5 minutes from their offices. I was referred to this company by a neighbor who used their services two years ago. I will NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND!!!!

Great Experience... Had a particularly difficult case.. I sold my house in the middle of boiler work...Byrne and Brothers worked with me and the work got done, despite many obstacles with new owners and Dept of Buildings. I an forever grateful and highly recommend this company, who showed me service PLUS compassion.

Jerry is very knowledgeable! After digging up almost our entire yard to change the pipes, his workers returned the dirt and left everything even cleaner than when they had arrived. Definitely recommend.

Fredrick came over. He was super nice and got the job done with no issues. He even explain some things to me that I didn't know. Thank you..

Horrible service. They claimed to be able to tix a Toto toilet. Came for a service call. Charge over 400.00. Said they would order a part. Had me take 5 pictures of the toilet so they could "order the part." I called back to follow up 4 times and they kept giving me the run around. "The plumber wasn't available." " They never heard back from Toto." This went on for over a month. Then they stopped answering the phone all together. If I could give a zero rating I would. Avoid at all costs!

Called them to install a new water line for a refrigerator.
Appointment was for early afternoon. Plumber called said he was running late and ended up coming around 5:00. We sent him an image of the required parts needed for installation from the refrigerator manual so that this would not be an issue on arrival. When he came he said could not move dishwasher out to get at area where new line would need to pass, and would come back next day. Later that evening we noticed that the water line kit he brought was specifically mentioned not to be used for installation. We texted him that and asked that he come with the proper line which was either pex or copper. He replied back something to the fact that they have to make a profit... and that we should get someone else. We did we got the plumber we usually use the next day who easily removed the dishwasher as it was just releasing the drain line and he installed a copper line at a cost of several hundred dollars less. All good now. The one thing I can say positive is that they did not charge the 75.00 visit fee, which considering was the right thing to do. -
Very poor customer service. I contacted this company for help with a plumbing issue, but the representative was not willing to listen and ended the call abruptly by hanging up on me. This is unacceptable behavior for any business. If this is how they treat potential customers, I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere.
-
Bad experience. Never followed thru on getting work done
-
They do not provide free estimates.
-
They need to improve customer service. When a customer expects a phone call they need to call the customer.
-
Awesome people, extremely fair and quality work
-
Provide great and informative service. Will them do more work in my home.
