    $2100 LABOR charge for a 3 hour job any competent handyman could have done. Materials and inspection were added and extra - but those were fair. I trusted him because he was local and had done a small job previously for a fair rate. Job was NOT an emergency! NYSEG by passed the switch and said was now safe but needed repair. Have had 4 other competent contractors I would called had I not TRUSTED him to be fair and asked for a quote. When contacted after, the highest one said they would have been at $1200 labor at the most. Keller claimed "flat rate". Flat rate maybe for a Master union electrician with 30 years experience in NYC. Not for a bus driver who took a few courses years ago and moonlights as an electrician. Lesson learned - do not trust the local guy to not take advantage of a senior citizen on fixed income. No Christmas trip to NC this year to visit grandkids. Thanks Chris - you got me - nothing fair or right with what you did
