Yesterday we discovered we had a major issue in our men's restroom around noon and (30) personnel expected here at the office today for our annual Holiday party tonight. I called RUDCO and within (30) minutes they had a person here which grew into having (2) people here. (3) hours and (30) minutes later after going into the ceiling and having to cut an access hole in an interior wall the problem was repaired. I highly recommend RUDCO, very professional service, could have been a nightmare here today otherwise.

We have been using Rudco yearly for Backflow Testing (six years plus) and recently needed help with a failing pilot light in our gas furnace. We are right in town but wow... We barely hang up the phone and we have service at our door. Steve has a class operation with knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly employees. We are very pleased and recommend them highly.

I used Rudco to fix my gas boiler last year. I had been meaning to write a review at the time and forgot all about it... I just came across the receipt and decided to post this. I had only called Rudco because they were close to me (in Westbury) when my heat stopped working. George (the tech) showed up within an hour, looked over my system and determined that there was nothing wrong with it - it was just the thermostat. He replaced it in about 10 minutes and the bill was more than reasonable. I called the company afterwards and spoke to Steve to thank him. Rudco was professional and pleasant to work with the entire time, and I really appreciated the honesty. I was convinced that my boiler needed repair and I would have believed them if they told me so. Instead Steve and George were honest and straightforward with me, and the bill was reasonable. I highly recommend Rudco - even if you don't live in Westbury.

My old house water main valve was "frozen" stuck. I got two quotes to fix it.

The first company proposed just changing out the valve. They quoted 30% lower than Rudco, BUT they didn't address my 1950s galvanized water main line to house.

Rudco's quote covered the full job - doing it right. Steve at Rudco said he would not do it any other way than the right way, as if it was his own house. Steve said there was risk that a valve-only job could fail.

So I went with Rudco. They did a great job, and didn't even need to dig up the grass or disturb anything - using a mechanical extruder to replace the line. So, I have a new line from the city service right through to the interior of my house.

Rudco impressed me and gave me peace of mind.

Highly recommend Rudco, Steve sent his top notch team, Ed & Jay to replace a cast iron radiator and replace a valve on another radiator, they were on time, friendly, neat and fast! And most importantly, his pricing is fair! Give them a call first.

I had an issue with my electric water heater and after a bad experience with another company that never came out and immediately pushed a full system replacement, I contacted Rudco Plumbing & Heating.

Rudco actually showed up, inspected the water heater in person, and took the time to explain exactly which parts needed to be replaced. They fixed the issue without trying to upsell me on a whole new system.

I now have hot water throughout the house with no problems, and they also provided a warranty on the work, which gave me extra peace of mind.

Talk to Nick. He's just a straight shooter. Tells you your options and what he can do instead of charging you for wrong services. Seems to have been doing this for quite some time, so the experience is there to comfort you that he can handle any problem you give him. If he can't do it or it's just not part of his services, he can provide you with good recommendation.

My heat went off Sunday night, it was 19 deg outside and going down to the 0-5 deg tonight, I called a few heating/ plumbing companies and none could help me until Monday at the best, Then I called A-1 and got the owner(Robert) who was beyond nice , he came out to help me out.He was just great, had the part(all the others had to order it )and fixed my heat, its one of those high end hi eff units.
He knew just what to do and fix the unit,his price was great and I would have paid triple for the job but he only wanted to make sure my wife and myself where not going to freeze.I highly recommend this company.
I will only use A-1 from now on and I recommend you do the same.

After a back injury, I purchased an apartment size washing machine that i could hook up to the kitchen sink and eliminate trips the laundromat. It worked great, except my apartment is so small, i wasn't able to do anything in the kitchen while it was attached because it took up all the space and used the water. But while not in use, it fit perfectly next to the kitchen cabinets. I wondered if there was a way i could leave it where it was and hook it up directly from under the sink...
A1 Plumbing came highly recommended so i gave them a call. I spoke to Nick and explained everything. He came by the house to check out my setup to see exactly what was needed. He got all the parts and installed everything perfectly.
I just did a load of laundry and made lunch at the same time!! I am beyond happy!! 😁
