Very professional outfit. Joe Galluzzo was a great point of contact. He was very helpful through each step of the process and took the time to explain everything. Whenever I had a question he was very responsive. The install crew was on time, efficient, and very courteous. Joe Giglio was also great during the quality assurance follow up. All around a great experience. I vetted a few other solar companies before choosing Power Solutions and I'm glad I did.

We are one year into our solar panels and it has been fantastic! They are producing well above expectations. David Kowalsky helped to evaluate other proposals and was straight forward & honest. Everybody should call him to get their panels installed!

The installation itself was ok. Though they drilled a hole in the wrong place, they sent someone to fix it a little later.

But they promised a referral bonus if I referred a friend. I do so and their installation was completed six months ago and I still didn't receive my bonus.

I contacted them several times and each time they said the check was in the mail, but nothing. And now, they don't even respond.

Update: they did respond back eventually (I think because of the one star review I had given) and I got my referral bonus. Upgraded to 3 stars as a result. I still think it would have been better if they had just responded to me when I tried going to them directly.

Dave Kowalski approached us about adding solar panels. We had just completed a 12 month renovation with a new roof, insulation, siding, windows, boiler and mini-split heat pumps. We had always been pretty energy-use conscious, but Dave prepared a plan for solar panels. The site survey and regulatory paperwork was all handled by Power Solutions. After six months now, we no longer draw electricity, but net supply the grid from our panels. As people planning to "age in place", this has been a great choice for responsible living.

I had panels installed in Dec. 2023 in Riverdale, NY and the whole process went well. I worked with David Kowalsky who responded to my questions very quickly over email/text. I wanted different proposals over time based on doing more research (different number/type of panels) and he was able to develop new proposals very quickly. He was able to answer all my questions, especially about all the financial aspects. I went with NY Power because of their good service reputation and the price per watt.

The installation went well; the roofing/electrical guys were very professional and seemed to know what they were doing, though ultimately, I care about how the system works, 10, 20, etc. years from now so my review only refers to the first 6 months of use, which has been perfect.

The output of the panels has been good, though I won't know until Dec. if the real production matches what was projected; I will update this review in a few years to share production numbers. I also will share if anything breaks down and how the company handles it; what matters to me most is that any issues covered under warranty years from now are dealt with properly.

The NYC property tax rebate (first year of 4) was verified by mail in March of 2024 and the federal and NY State rebates were given to us when we did our taxes last month; so the money that was promised back to us did get to us.

My home was in need of a new roof and we explored many options and opted to go with solar panels. We found New York Power Solutions. They were super helpful from the start. I would like to share my latest experience on a solar installation I had done at my home in Lagrangeville, NY.
For years I have been approached by many Solar installers but I was very hesitant as many who are very cautioned when it comes to trusting a company with such a huge project and to be in a relation for many years.
After researching many companies and reviewed their workmanship, I have decided to meet with NY Power Solutions. Knowing what to expect to pay, I was surprised after picking the most expensive panels, their price was very competitive.
I was dealing with Mike, their Sales person who was very courteous, return phone calls in a timely manner. He explained everything and what I should expect to pay and all of my savings.
NY Power Solutions filed all of the paperwork to the State, City and process all other paperwork and dealing with the Town.
On the day of installation, the workers showed up as scheduled and each men were specialized in their own job which made the installation a breeze. Inspection was done in a few days after and system was turned on immediately.
I wanted to share this flawless experience to anyone who are hesitant in converting to Solar and trying to choose that perfect company, please take my word for it, Call Mike at NY Power Solutions and start your savings.
I also had the cause to deal with some of the folks at their office after the installation and I have to admit, it was also a pleasure.

David Kowalsky was so patient, helpful, and well informed. He represented the system we were designing really accurately. It's installed now for 3 months. He estimated it would generate about 60% of what we need, and this was great, we thought this was a good value for our money and used our roof well. But now after three months it's generating way more! We already have many days where we sell power back to the grid. And the sun's only halfway to its high point for the year! We're very happy, the app is easy to use, the system is very high quality, and we're in a great group of folks in Croton who worked with David. Highly recommend.

I had a wonderful experience from start to finish with NY Power Solutions. My sales rep Dave was incredibly informative and the most honest and transparent sales rep I worked with. He walked me through every detail of the process and enabled me to make the best decision. The team handled all the permit process which is no small task in my Village in Westchester. The installation crew was so efficient, they completed the install in the morning and left before lunch. The final Quality Inspection call to walk me through the app and system made me realize all the great information at my fingertips with my solar production and consumption. I'd highly recommend them over any of the big companies which I contacted for quotes too. I'd happily refer NY Power Solutions to anyone in NY looking to go solar.

I can't recommend New York Power Solutions more highly. I did extensive research on solar and interviewed/obtained quotes from multiple companies. Some small and some big. With New York Power Solutions you work directly with their engineers to design your system. I worked with David Kowalsky - who was fantastic. With met multiple times at my convenience to design the system. Very skilled and professional. The company was started by a roofer and electrician. They are the experts on solar and were never pushy on sales. Completely tailored my system which is 27K Kw system on two separate buildings. Complex build and install, which changes along the way. Install was smooth over 3 days, and ran like a well oiled machine. They took care of all the permitting and setting up inspections.

We just had our solar installed and activated today with NY Power Solutions. I could not be happier with the service I received. The whole process took about 3.5 months from start to finish.
